Beautiful beaches with free public parking. May get a little difficult to find parking during peak hours. We came on a Thursday morning and the beach was packed with people. Clean, white soft sands. Water is beautiful and clear. The gulf is beautiful in the Florida panhandle. Nice deck to get onto the beaches. I can see why it is packed since the beaches are beautiful. read more

This beach was fairly nice. I've been here a couple of times prior to the visit this past weekend. The beach was definitely nice both this year and the last. The sand was nice and pretty white. It wasn't too bad playing volleyball on it either. It wasn't the softest sand, but it also wasn't terribly granular and rough. The water was free of seaweed so it was nice to swim in. I don't remember it ever being super crowded these past two years, but then again, it could be early in the beach season--April. Although parking wasn't an issue since my group rented a condo that faced this beach, I did see public access points and parallel parking spots along the beach area. read more

This beach is near the city of Destin and I say with no exaggeration that this is the prettiest beach in America, maybe even in the world. From the Caribbean, to Hawaii, I've seen a lot of beaches and this is the nicest beach I've been to. White, clean sand and crystal blue water... I must stop taunting myself now. I've almost been home for 24 hours and I'm already having withdrawals. I must go back soon! It stays imaculantly clean because each morning, Walton County removes whatever is left over night. I watched from my balcony, several mornings as wave boards, umbrellas and the other costly non disposable items were toted off in the back if the County owned truck. That kind of sucks, but pay attention to the signs people. Maybe they intended to dispose of them anyways. I was there during Spring Break and it was never very crowded at all. I'm not sure if that applies to the entire beach, or just the area that I stayed near, but several days we walked along the beach and never witnessed a very crowded area of Miramar. One day we are at Pompano Joe's, another day having drinks at The Crab Trap, and dinner the last day at the Surf Hut. I'm not sure if all of those places would be considered as Miramar beach or not, but they're all walkable from there, so I'd thought I mention them. Get there ASAP! I know I'm already planning my trip back. It was only about a ten hour drive, so it's not too bad of a drive, my Lexingtonian friends. read more

Gorgeous. Quiet. White sands. Clear blue water. We never got the best Destin experience until this trip. Stayed at that Embassy which has private access to this beach and was blown away. Was nicer than Siesta which we loved couple years ago. Loved how secluded this side is and less crowds. It was clean as well. Will definitely come back here. We tried to go as many times as we could but we were just passing through. We ran the beach in the morning, watched the sunset and played in the morning until we absolutely had to go. Ahh loved it. Pictures are beautiful of this location. Strongly recommend everyone to visit here if around Destin area. It's also not too far from everything else. Shops, eateries, hotels, other beaches. Just a drive away so it's very convenient. Definutely worth the stop if passing through too!! read more

This beach is clean and gorgeous. Soft white powder sand and emerald green water. Limited prime parking that fills up quickly especially during peak season (which is to be expected). Get here early! Ice Cream Truck makes it's rounds just as it did through local neighborhoods as a kid. Takes cash and cards. Fun little way to cool off. Food and drink within walking distance. Convenient because once you leave that parking spot, you are SOL. Family friendly atmosphere. Pack up the kids and go! Don't lock your keys in your car unless you have $120 and 1 1/2 hours to spare for a locksmith. Yep. Learned from experience. Overall excellent experience. Can't wait to go back someday. read more

We are so disappointed with the small amount of access if you aren't staying on the beach front. You are treated like a "second class citizen" when you walk down to the beach. There are umbrella companies on almost the entire beach, except between cones approximately 60ft wide only that you're allowed to set up your own chairs and umbrellas. They charge $60 a day for one small umbrella and two wood chairs. Everyone is piled up in the small area that doesn't want to pay or can't afford to pay the $60. So disappointed. read more

I can see why this area is called the Emerald Coast with its pretty blue green water. I never spent time in the panhandle, it's always been Central or South, Florida. The beaches did not disappoint. Very pretty with soft sand. Definitely a relaxing beach with not many people. read more

Gorgeous sand!! It was to cold for us to swim but the water is a beautiful Blue and the sand is soft and white. We rented a house near by and had access to the beach through frangista beach properties. We sadly came at spring break so there was a ton of loud music, drinking, cussing, and drunk kids. Would love to come back when the stereos aren't blaring and just listen to the waves. read more

Beautiful! Except red tide was going on when we visited. We were told it was at the end of it, but man that was a terrible experience. If you don't know what red tide is just Google it. Not fun. It rained most of that week except for two days. Don't go down there in December is my recommendation! But do go there at some point. It is a beautiful, very small Florida town. read more

We walked across the street from the place we were staying. Very pretty, with lots of umbrellas and chairs to rent for $40. White powdery sand that reminded me of flour. It sticks to everything and is hard to clean off. But it's worth it as this is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. We stayed in Miramar Beach for a wedding and absolutely loved it. We were here in late September (the off season), so the town wasn't too crazy busy and we liked it that way. We went into Destin for a day to go snorkeling, and it made me even happier we stayed in Miramar. Don't get me wrong, Destin was great, but it's very touristy, and Miramar is more beach, less touristy shops and restaurants. The beach is gorgeous and we had tons of fun. I'd recommend staying around here for a relaxing beach vacation! read more

This is the type of beach I really miss since I live in the Pacific Northwest. The sand is white and powdery kind of like what you would find on many of the Caribbean islands. The water is as blue as can be. The beach is clean (from what I understand the city makes sure to clean the each every morning). The water is warm (we don't get that on the west coast. So bring your chair, bring some beer and make your own Corona commercial. read more

NO STAR for this business. My experience with Frangista Beach Rentals HAS NOT BEEN GOOD. My friends and I reserved a beach rental for 9/8/17-9/15/17. We made a deposit by credit card and then were required to make the final payment by e-check. I assume the point of this being that there would be no way for one to get their money back. This was a property where we had stayed previously so were returning customers. Because of Hurricane Irma, we were advised by the Governor of Florida to not come into the state. When we called to reschedule, get a refund or get a discount on a future rental, because of Hurricane Irma, we were told there would be no refund. Also we found out that the same rental had been re-leased to another party for the same week for which we had paid. No refund as that is their policy and that "this is a business." My husband and I have stayed at other rentals in Miramar Beach through a different management company and we used a credit card for all payments. I would advise not to ever use Frangista Beach Rentals. read more
