I think that was a lazy approach, since any computer will work great with a new drive and motherboard. Not wanting to surrender the computer to the scrap heap, I took it to NewAge Computer; they ran some diagnostics and did some real digging into the reports and realized there were some drive read errors which needed sorting out; they did it and for under $300 for their time. Paid them an upfront 10K which was an enormous blunder on our part. Month after month went by. Apparently, our account rep was fired and no one bothered to tell us. We repeatedly tried to set up a meeting with the owner TJ Kirlin, and were given every excuse in the book. These guys might know their stuff, but the owner TJ Kirlin is what results when a snake oil salesman has a baby with a two bit huckster. If you ever hire this clown show operation, make sure to get every word and syllable in writing first, and don't pay a dime upfront.

I contracted with Michael Allton of Stadia Studios to build my companies website using Drupal in…read morelate 2010. His communication (both quality and timeliness) was excellent at first. Then, I made the mistake of paying him. It seems from reading the other reviews, this is common for Michael to be quite responsive and friendly during the sales cycle and then that goes away once he's been paid! He committed to developing our website in 4 weeks, it took him 8 weeks. Even then, the website had 1 major item left out from our initial requirements / mockup and 2 items not working correctly. There was a period of 3 weeks during the 'development' where nothing was updated on the development website and Michael stopped returning any & all emails and voicemails...very frustrating period when you have a deadline for the website to start up a new business! Because of the delay in development, I put myself in somewhat of a bad position where I didn't have time to change over to another developer. I agreed to go live with the deficiencies that Michael wouldn't address without additional money (despite agreeing to the items 8 weeks earlier). The website was up and running then, hosted on Michael's server. This was somewhat of a strategic mistake on my part as well...as we experienced multiple outages (2 of which lasted entire days) and the general communication during these outages was sporadic and sometimes testy (as if it was our bad for asking for a status update while our company website that customers use daily was down). In about June or July of 2011, Michael went in without any communication and cancelled the paypal autopay for the annual hosting fee. It's clear that he already got his money and wasn't interested in the $100 per year hosting and wasn't interested in keeping me as a client (well, because, he already stole my money...so, what good am I to him now). Shortly after the website was live, I contracted another Drupal developer to implement the 1 major item left out and fix the 2 pieces of functionality not working. She also has completed at least 3 other improvements to the website that Michael said were impossible (obviously, to get out of doing work). In addition, I have contracted with another hosting environment and migrated my full website over to that company...prior to my 1 year 'anniversary' for hosting with Stadia Studios. I am completely happy to be done with the 'professional' relationship with Michael Allton and Stadia Studios. If you are looking for either web development OR website hosting...do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Finally we were tired of delays and asked for a refund. He said he couldn't give us a refund because he'd spent the funds on his own personal stuff and can't pay us money he doesn't have. His Better Business Bureau report is an F standing. Once he had our money, he delayed and delayed until we couldn't do a credit card chargeback, then his tune changed and he became blatantly rude. I wish I'd read all the scam reports about him before hiring him. He clearly just gets people to pay for services he makes excuses for never delivering.
