I had an issue with the generator not automatically switching over to power the house during an outage. Over a period of almost a year, they came out and Joel the tech said he replaced the switch that controlled it, yet he left before he tested whether it was indeed the problem. In every outage since, the generator would start just fine but never switch over to power the house. They just keep charging for service calls but don't stay long enough to see if they resolved the problem. I could go on but you get the point. One would think they would warranty their work to resolve the problem! We've since moved out of the area yet they still send out bills for the last service call, even though they did not do anything except recommend replacing another $650 worth of parts. I declined their offer to order the parts. I'm not a fool and know when I am being played as yet another dumb homeowner at the mercy of this kind of operation. Stay away!

Our experience with Pro-Built was absolutely amazing. Their process-- from the initial consultation…read moreto the final walk-through-- was focused on making sure we were happy with the outcome. We initially got more quotes than we intended (5) and though Pro-Built was on the higher end, they used far superior materials and a *much* better design than the others so it seemed more reasonable in the long run. As most projects go, there were a few hiccups but Ed and Christina handled them like professionals. Also, not a small thing in my opinion, the crew cleaned up every single day so we could still use the yard safely. And speaking of the crew, everyone was so very nice. We really didn't have any complaints and would definitely use them for our next project!

The communication was clear. And of course the deck is gorgeous! It was not a large project, but it was important to me and my family. I highly recommend giving them a call if you want an honest and knowledgeable proposal.

I have minor complaints, but at the end of the day he handled a large project for us in a timely…read moremanner. He and his crew were kind and accommodating. His team handled (1) laying radiant heat coils, (2) applying self-leveling compound both to solve leveling issues and to secure the radiant heat, (3) floating Rigid Core Vinyl Planks, (4) adding new baseboards, (5) running new circuits for each heated area, and (6) drywall repair. I'm grateful for their renovation efforts. Before I go into minor quibbles, I'll reiterate that the job was done and I'm happy with it. I can't wait to use his team for future projects once the funds are replenished. This review is only to inform his great crew on ways to improve minor details. They range from "Aesthetic" to "Technical" critiques. (1) Layout (Aesthetic). The lengths of starting planks were staggered in a clear 2-step pattern. It reduces the "natural" look of things; See the attached image to (2) Polish (Aesthetic). Shims for baseboards weren't cleaned off with utility knives or anything so there's lots of little spots with wood poking out from behind the baseboard. I know these 70 year old walls were probably a challenge to baseboard, so it's all good. There were also several spots on the walls and doors that got damaged during the installation. It's no biggy though, since we just moved in and the basement was very "DIY" from the previous owner and poorly done anyway. (3) Patterns (Aesthetic). Normally when boards are laid out from several boxes, you mix and match from the boxes so you get more variety of patterns. In the implementation in my home, there are several areas where identical boards are right next to one another so it looks less "natural" (4) "Playing it Safe" (Technical). All technical guidelines of the radiant heating system we used warned of testing the current and functionality before laying down compound over it since there's no turning back once that's been done. This test wasn't done - it ended up fine, and everything worked, but had any of the product been found to be faulty the final day of installation when they plugged it all in, there'd be some major problems. Section 2.4 of the following manual: https://hw.menardc.com/main/items/media/EASYH001/Install_Instruct/DFTInstructions.pdf I should note that maybe there was a miscommunication and these tests were actually done, but from conversations I think they weren't. (5) Plank Minimum Widths (Technical). Typically planks have minimum widths they are permitted to be for stability. To plan for these minimums, you often place planks from the center of the room in both directions to find out where the widths are too short and you compensate by shifting things left or right. There are locations in the installation where these minimums were exceeded, but they were covered by the baseboards so it's probably fine. (5) Leveling Compound (Aesthetic). There ended up being some spots where it's off-level enough that I get some significant flex to the boards as I walk over them. It makes me a bit nervous that they'll pop in years to come, but it should be fine. I should note that there ended up being way more leveling compound required than initially expected, so I understand that there are some variations just because how much needed to be laid. But enough of the negatives, let's chat about what went right: (1) During this difficult time, they were able to come out and get me ready to work from home in less than a week. (2) They were appreciative of the situation, especially with my wife's hospital profession, and took necessary precautions to insulate their work area from the rest of the house. (3) They were flexible to meet some requests of mine during the work, such as repairing drywall, installing thresholds, and making sure the planks were oriented in a certain direction. (4) They were willing to work even though the area was littered with furniture and boxes from our recent move in. They handled all of my grandmother's furniture with care, and made sure it was all safe as they worked. (5) They were friendly, kind, and responsive at all times. Victor's the classic contractor / handyman who's seen it all. (6) They rolled with the punches as the unexpected arose: baseboards, self-leveling compound, and square footage all didn't match original expectations and they were able to quickly pivot and make sure everything was done on time. (7) They alerted me of problems right when they happened. My sump pump failed and they were the first to let me know! We managed to resolve the problem before any damage was done. In other words, they were vigilant and attentive to my home as they worked. (8) Their invoices were reasonable, and their financing was generous.

We gave Faustino the product number and he decided to use a different product. The one we choose was a light stain and he used a solid black. What we wanted was a beautiful wood stain deck and what we got was an ugly black deck. He did not sand it therefor ruining the wood that we already had down. They used spray paint which also ruined the siding of my house, my gutters and there is paint all over the concrete. One of the worst experiences I have ever encountered. Beware of this company

So the time came and the cleaners were there promptly. However, it was the guy who was the one I…read morewas msging with that came to the door first. Apparently he had one other cleaner in the van waiting for him to assess the cleaning situation. I did say in my quote that it was a move-out cleaning service to clean one room and two bathrooms and when he came, he said it was for one bathroom which he verified in his quote that it was indeed for two baths. He can't assume that every move-out cleaning service would be empty bc I live there too and would have a service like that anytime someone I rent to would move out. I think that's fair enough. He had me pay more and at this point, I wanted to get it done so I agreed. I did feel as if it was a bait and switch situation. I'd say they did a decent job in cleaning and felt the bathrooms were cleaned to satisfaction. I did feel however that the mopping was done too quick. I wasn't there to supervise since I had to go get ready to head out, but by time I went upstairs, it wasn't like 5-10 mins before I heard him shout out that they were done. Even after the bait and switch prices, I still tipped them. But would I use them again, probably not.

We hired this company for a move-in cleaning, and unfortunately the service did not meet…read moreexpectations. Two cleaners came, but the results were closer to a light day-to-day cleaning rather than the thorough move-in cleaning we paid for. I had already done a post-construction cleaning, and told the cleaners not to move furniture -- just clean visible areas. Still, many areas were missed, including the downstairs cabinets, fridge, and even the bathroom. All the appliances upstairs are brand new, so there wasn't much to do there, but I expected at least basic attention to detail elsewhere. They wore their shoes inside during cleaning until I had to ask them to remove them. They mopped with so much water that puddles ("water ponds") were left on the floor. When I spoke with the owner afterward, I was told that things I would normally expect in a move-in clean -- like window tracks, cabinets, and wall wiping -- were not included. Overall, it seems they are only set up for very basic surface cleaning (like making the bed or wiping counters), not a proper move-in clean. I paid full price, so lesson learned -- but I cannot recommend them for anyone looking for professional move-in or deep cleaning services.
