Design Home Center is coordinating our home renovations. Initial project quotes and picking materials was a pleasant experience. The contractor and flooring installers were helpful in the walkthrough of the house. The lighting and plumbing guys were professional and have done a good job. These were subcontracted parts of the project. The work quality has been very good and subcontracted folks do clean up nicely after themselves. The adjustments in the project by the contractor have been easy to make and the work timely. If there is an area that needs improvement - it would be the project coordinator at Design Home Center. While picking out materials was a positive experience, there have been several issues in ordering incorrect materials - a 42" vs 33" vanity and countertop. While accurate measurements were taken, the numbers were not calculated correctly and the flooring installer and contractor came up short on flooring materials and trim components. This caused a delay in scheduling the installs of materials. Lastly, communication could be better when problems arise. The project coordinator did not contact us as homeowners to let us know of the delays, the installers and contractor told us of the issues. We have emailed several times and it takes 1 - 3 days to get communication back so we can plan our schedule a week ahead of time. I am hoping for a feedback form from the business to help them in improving customer service. Not sure that is part of their business processes though. read more
