After moving into a new house this past summer, I had the task of furnishing and decorating it. I had read a few articles about feng shui online and had used it for my previous place of residence, but I felt that some things just weren't right. It was time for some professional help. Looking online, I contacted a few people via email, but Belinda was the only one available in my time frame. I had a free phone call with her in which we discussed my new house, who would be living there, and other details. She came up with a plan to visit my house, do a clearing ceremony, and visit my house again once I had finished making the changes. After discussing the plan with my parents, they decided that the current package was too expensive so I told Belinda and she cut down on package options. After discussing it with my parents for a while, we settled on a package with an in person visit and a phone call followup. I figured I could easily do a clearing ceremony myself: there were no previous residents so I didn't fear any bad energy lingering there. I emailed Belinda a copy of my floor plan and set an appointment for Wednesday at 11am. Belinda arrived on time and we talked about the house and my goals in life. She took a directional reading with a compass and went around the house. I took notes as we walked around. She gave suggestions based on the layout of the house. These suggestions included placement of artwork in certain areas, rugs on floors (I never used rugs before this), room color schemes, room uses, and feng shui items. Some notable suggestions I received was to move my office to the first floor because there was more energy down there, put a blue rug under my dining room table because it was next to the living room to separate it, a pink color scheme for the master bedroom, and a large tapestry in the living room. (Everyone's suggestions will differ based on their place) Belinda explained that the suggestions were based on the direction my house faced as well as other factors. She made some notes on the house layout for me to keep and suggested some places to buy furniture (like At Home and Amazon). Places that didn't break the bank were also suggested. She didn't make any radical changes to my home layout. We needed to fully furnish the place so most of the house was empty. I did my shopping at IKEA, Wayfair.com, At Home, Society 6 (for artwork, cheaper than art.com) and amazon. Got my couch at Sams club though. I framed my pictures with picture frames from IKEA. For my bed I got a piece of plywood from Home Depot and screwed it on for a solid headboard. When it came time for the phone consultation on how my new home was doing, I emailed photos of each of the rooms as well as a video walk through (I hosted them on dropbox.com). Belinda saw my photos and said I did well with the decorating, and made a few minor adjustments on certain areas. So far the results have been great. I can move through my house with ease and I feel that the energy flows nicely. My garage doesn't feel cluttered as everything is to the sides. I sleep well at night and get things done in my office as I can see the window and living room with my back against the wall. My parents (they visit a lot) like the layout and pictures. So far my career and life have been going well with some changes here and there. I'm still working on clearing the clutter from my tables (sign that I have too many things to do at once, but I'm working on that). Overall I feel that my home looks and feels great. Belinda was amazing and easy to work with. She listened to me and was willing to use different solutions to reach an objective if one wasn't available. I have been meaning to leave a review for a while now. I first started working with Belinda about 4 or so years ago. She Feng Shui'd my home and Chiropractic Wellness office. If you have doubts about the effectiveness of feng shui, as I did before using Belinda's services, read on! I first used her services to help ready my father's house for renting, after he had died in it. She did a cleansing and advised me of things I could do to make it more attractive and to attract the "right kind" of tenant (one that pays on time, etc). First people the agent interviewed were fabulous! they stayed 18 months and were more than I ever dreamed. I called Belinda in again for the second renting, and she helped stage the property, as rents were down and soft (Jan 09). Again, the first prospective tenants were fabulous and are still in the house one year later. She has also advised about my house and home based business. I had a "crazy neighbor" who was harassing me, reporting me to the City for code violations, vandalizing my yard, etc. Within two months after I enacted her suggestions, his wife discovered his actions, divorced him, and she and I are now friends. Belinda's ideas are "little" things that make a big difference. Plus, she is quite willing to educate her clients as to the background (why should I do this?), and doesn't buy into the "magical" attitude that some practitioners have. I am so happy and grateful to have found a great Feng Shui consultant that specializes in the Classical Feng Shui. I searched for months for a classical feng shui consultant in the central Texas area. I was going through some troubles with finances and relationships and started doing research about feng shui. In January 2016, I had a modern/ western feng shui consultant come to my house and clear the energy and work on placements for good chi flow, but I was not at ease with it. I believed that the classical feng shui will work better in my home and life. I reached out to Belinda in March/ April. She called and got to know me and my situation and we scheduled an appointment from there. She sent me some things to do/ buy/ have ready and how the process goes. By the time she came to my house for our initial apt, I had all the cures ready to be placed and did most of it in that first session. The second time she came, we cleaned the energy in the house with sage and she did her thing. Not even a week after that, I had received my VA compensation rating and back pay since I ETS'd from the military!
