My husband and I moved into a new home and had a tough time deciding on the decor and arrangements. Amisha helped us figure out our style and used our inspiration pictures to find great pieces for our home. We got great tips and recommendations for each room. She showed us several options for key pieces such as the bed, sofa, and dining table at different price points. She was also very responsive and got back to us very quickly with all her suggestions. The whole process was great from start to finish and we found the price to be reasonable. Everything came together perfectly and we are thrilled with the results. I'd highly recommend this service to anyone looking for an affordable way to professionally decorate.

In the 5 months we worked with Authentic Designs the as-build measurements were taken, a survey of our property done and a rendering of a master bedroom remodel presented. In June, after seeing the plan for the new master bedroom we asked Dean what he thought the cost of the project to be. When he didn't answer we asked again this time looking for a range to give us any type of idea on cost. He replied it was a "moving target". Let's face it, if this is your line of work, and you've supposedly been studying a house for months and months you know what the ballpark figures are on the plan you've presented. We were upfront with our budget from the get-go and what we hoped to accomplish with that (needed a new roof, remodel the master bedroom, tweak the kitchen a little, make downstairs more indoor/outdoorsy). I'd easily speculate the proposed plan for the master bedroom probably took up the majority of the budget but we'll never know for sure as he never gave us a figure ...or even easier, a range. There was not a lot of transparency. While Dean is very affable he struggled to keep us abreast on what was or was not happening on our project. We constantly had to reach out to him to see if anything was happening at all. As you can tell from the timeline of our relationship, very little happened in 5 months. I'd say there was very poor management of expectations too. Prior to signing the contract with him, Dean made it seem most of what we wanted to do was possible based on our budget. 5 months in we were only seeing a plan that covered part of what we wanted to do and who knows how much it would have cost. In the end we kissed off our initial deposit and ended up disappointed we had wasted so much time with someone who clearly had us at the bottom of his priority list with a plan for a master bedroom that was probably way out of our reach.

I was lucky enough to have found Bouteina Hassani of Mor'Rocking Interiors when I was due for a make-over of my office. I needed a new and better filing storage/space that would double as a paperwork assembly station and I wanted my big computer screen accessible to clients to view without being in their way when they worked with me at our mediation table. I wanted a window dressing to cover up the unattractive blinds that come with my office and a privacy window treatment that would lighten the room and not overwhelm it. Oh yes, and new carpet and some general re-organization so as to open up the space. Bouteina researched options within my budget, presented me with excellent choices and helped me get a wholesale price, and excellent installation for my carpet. This job in the scheme of things, was a very small job for her level of expertise but she treated me like her best customer at all times. She was responsive, courteous, on time for all appointments and I never had to leave my office. She arranged for the window treatment installation, carpet installation and delivery of the new filing cabinets so they were worked into my client schedule and she followed-up with each step to ensure the work was done to her exacting standards. She staged my office and ensured that all my practical needs were met as well as my need for a more polished, calm, open space. Bouteina not only has a keen eye for space, style and organization she has respect for your budget and style. I highly recommend her services as a professional stager and interior designer. She will help you enjoy the spaces you are living and working in! Take a look at the before and after pics (if I can post them.)

The catch was that I was going to install it to save some $$. After some time, we decided to get some quotes on the work instead. We got a couple quotes for the floor tile and it was pretty inexpensive but we wanted to make sure we had the right person. After talking to Brad, there was no doubt he was the right choice. I finally found someone who was just as meticulous as I am. He came out to give us a quote for the floor install as well as the shower and recommended floating the shower instead of taking the easy way and putting down cement board and slapping the tile on. We know we could have done it much cheaper with someone else, but that is not what we were looking for. I am glad we did, Brad was here every day bright and early and didn't leave until he was satisfied with what was done. He communicated every step of the process as well as the timeline. He stuck to his quote and timeline and we couldn't ask for more. The level of detail is insane, we picked a difficult material to work with but the cuts are spot on, the patterns roll into the corners, and the niches turned out exactly where we wanted them. The kitchen floor was no different, where most tile guys would make square cuts around the feet of the wine fridge, Brad cut perfect little circles around the feet so It was nice and tight. If there were any slight questions, he didn't hesitate to ask for my opinion and direction because he wanted to make sure we got the end result that we were looking for. Thanks again Brad, cant wait to take care of this floor soon, the shower makes it look bad!
