Divorce, it is difficult to say the least (one of the most difficult things to go through) but you need a team to help you through the process. Katherine Kraus is not like other attorneys where they want to get involved in every little detail. Her and her team want to make it as easy and affordable for you as possible. Some attorneys try to have you use them for every little thing possible, not with Katherine. She was very easy to work with and she streamlined everything with my divorce. These are my points as to why I feel this firm is as legit as they come..... 1. They don't nickel and dime you. Most people will blow their retainer before you even get to the table to discuss allocations between you and your ex. Not the case with this law firm. She streamlined the process for me from the get go and came up with a plan as where my ex's attorneys looked for everything possible to be involved in the divorce. 2. Responsive, they get back to you asap with any questions, you won't be waiting long for an answer to any questions you have. 3. The paralegal team is amazing, I will say "KC" is the most responsive person I have worked with. I do work professionally with the legal system and her paralegal team is by far the best out there. This is key when retaining an attorney, most people overlook this. "KC" handled most my matters instead of having to get the attorneys involved. My case has been ongoing since 2020 and remains unresolved. In my experience, this firm significantly impacted the well-being of my children and my family. After six years and more than $120,000 in legal fees, I was left to self-litigate without legal representation. During this process, one of my sons was deemed Code Blue and became unresponsive. My other son wrote a letter to the judge describing his mental health struggles and the severity of the domestic violence our family has experienced. Based on my experience, this office was not equipped to handle a high-conflict domestic violence case. My concerns include: Court filings that were not submitted on time. Poor communication throughout the case. Last-minute attorney substitutions during critical proceedings, which occurred at my expense and negatively affected my case. A lack of effective advocacy and preparation. Minimization of the domestic violence that my children and I have been trying to survive. I understand that every case is different, but I would not recommend this firm for high-conflict domestic violence matters.
