Unfortunately, I have to keep going to this salon, because its walking distance from my home, and I'm having car problems. It is walking distance, but it still takes a good 15-20 minutes to walk there, and its not fun in the snow. Today, I walk there to use up the last of my minutes. I just started tanning again, and went 2 days so far. But I wanted to go there today, so I can get my 3rd day in, which will complete a good, basic tan (till next week). Although they close at 4pm on Saturdays, (I even asked for a card with their hours yesterday, because they've done this to me several times in the past), I walk there and make it there by 2pm. Surprise, Surprise! They are closed! The note on the door says, "Our 'help' chose to not come in today, so we won't be open today. Sorry for the inconvenience." They are closed on Sunday, Then there was another note that read: "We will be closed on Monday and Tuesday because the manager will be out of town". By the time they're open, my base tan will be gone and I pretty much wasted the last of my minutes. This seems to happen A LOT during the weekend. This isn't even the worst they've done. During the summer, when I initially purchased these minutes, I purchased them because I was preparing for my trip back home to Los Angeles, to see some old friends and it was important to me that I get tan before I go. When I purchased these minutes, I told them that I plan to tan because I'm going to California in a week and I just wanna get tan the week before I go. At the time, this was very important for me. I went tanning once, and then the next day I walked back over to the salon, and it was closed. There was a sign on the door that said, "We will be closed for the next week because we're switching management". Well, not in exact words, but close enough... I was explaining to the staff that I needed to go tanning that day and all week because I'm leaving for LA next week. They never even brought that to my attention and it was shut down for a week. So, I had to pay double and went to the 2nd closest salon. Which I loved that salon, they're just too far for me if I need to walk. I didn't wanna waste my minutes, so I slowly have been using them since then. But several times, I've gone there since then, and they are closed when they're scheduled to be open. Usually they don't have a sign. Half the time, they close early when its slow. That's what they told me before. Plus, the staff isn't so nice. I'm actually pretty nice whenever I go in there, but the staff is very quiet and unfriendly. The main woman in there, you can barely hear her when she asks for ur name and tells u what room to go into. Usually none of the employees will say "goodbye" when u walk out. She always acts like, "why the hell are u in my tanning salon?" But I'm always nice to her and answer her questions nicely. Aside from that, the beds aren't so great either. They don't have much of a selection and it looks like a tanning salon you'd find in the ghetto. Half the beds are busted up and they dont get as hot as most salons I go to. I would not recommend this place at all, but unfortunately, I will continue to go back because the location is best for me.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of tanning. I'm regularly pale because I'm too lazy to walk a half mile to…read morethe tanning salon closest to me, which is Mocha Tan Tropics. And then sitting in a bed for 10 minutes while I get a shade darker, is just too boring for me. But I do like that tan skin look. I'm just too lazy to capture it. However, I do plan to get married this weekend and I am having a tropical Vegas wedding. I've been thinking for 6 months, about how I plan to be TAN for my wedding. My husband is a little darker and I want to have a tan glow on my wedding day. This is something I've been thinking about for MONTHS. So I decided to purchase 100 minutes for myself and 2 of my brides maids at Mocha Tan Tropic so we could all get a little darker a week before my wedding. I must have went into the tanning salon and purchased 3 packages with my girls, but none of us tanned that day. None of us actually have cars right now. My sister and my roommate are my brides maids and my sister is staying with me till we fly to Vegas this weekend. We walked to the tanning salon the other day in 95 degree weather, only to realize they were CLOSED? There was a sign on the door that said they were closed completely for 1 week, during the Cherry Festival. That was the Only week I Ever wanted to get tan. They were closed because they are changing up management. So they are Closed for the week. I understand the circumstances isn't the salon's fault, but I did say "I'm getting married in Vegas next weekend so I wanna get tan". So I purchased minutes for everyone and we can't use them. Nobody will be tan for the wedding but I decided to go to the next closest place, which is still quite far. So, I am paying about $15 per day to go to another tanning salon by cab. Plus another minutes package at another salon.
