I love that they are open 7 days per week. My appointment…read morewas to help me through a sciatica flare up, I was in a lot of pain. They took care of me! I was set up with a great person who knew what I was dealing with and could apply the right pressure, and move me comfortably through stretches my body needed. I was quite sore that evening despite what would say was gentle pressure, but I knew it was the result of getting good treatment. The next day, I woke up feeling so much better. Sciatica can't be healed over night, but the muscles around the inflamed area were released and allowed my nerves and blood to move freely through the rest of the area. I realize I need massage more frequently through the year, so I will be back.

Pressure was lousy despite asking for it to be deeper multiple times. Then I was asked multiple times if I wanted the essential oils for $10 more. Wasn't about the $10 but about the constant up selling. I said no. But she asked three more times. I would definitely never come back

I cannot say enough great things about my experience at Elemental Compass! We recently moved to the…read morearea and I was looking for a good therapist in TC who specifically does Myofacial Release. I booked my first appointment online with Beverly which was super convenient and a must as I usually plan my schedule late at night. Admittedly I was skeptical as I have tried many therapists over the last decade and beyond...only to be disappointed or feeling "meh" about the massage. I'm happy to say my search is OVER! Yay for me..and possibly you too! Bev is AMAZINGLY talented at what she does and very knowledgeable. BEST massage I have literally EVER had in my life! I'm serious...and no I'm not being paid to say this..lol. I already feel so much better and see improvement with long standing back/neck pain. The location is also convenient and is neat, clean and quiet...with a cute shop in the reception area. I have not tried other therapists at Elemental compass, but I am sure they are great too with Beverly at the helm:) I have already scheduled my next 4 massages. Almost hesitate to give this review as I want to keep her..and her schedule...all to myself!

I visited for a lash tint and lift, but unfortunately, the results are nonexistent. My lashes are…read moretinted, but one side has a barely-there curl and the other isn't curled at all. The process itself was very uncomfortable; the technician applied significant pressure to my eyes and left a bright light on unnecessarily. Unlike other local spots at lower price points, there was zero effort toward client comfort (no neck or hand massage during the setting time). To top it off, they auto-add a 20% gratuity and will question you in front of other customers if you try to adjust it. This feels like a business charging for its "prime location" rather than the quality of its work. Save your money and find a local professional who can actually deliver a lift.

When you walk into the spa there is a small area for gifts and things for purchase. Lululemon quarter zip sweatshirts, sweatpants, some fine jewelry, body sprays, etc. You check in at the spa desk from there and they hang your coat for you. From there you wait in a separate waiting area which offers complimentary granola, water and tea. You do not wait very long. When it is time for your service, a spa worker will bring you to your designated area based on what service you are there for. I have visited the spa twice this year for pedicures and both times have been wonderful experiences. The pedicure area is very clean and sanitary. I had Delores both times I visited and she was so great. Very gentle, informative and detailed oriented. The spa at the resort has been exceptional with their services and their kindness and I will definitely continue to visit when I am in the area!

Long story short, I keep coming back to Discover. The location is not the most appealing, but the therapists do such a wonderful job making the treatment rooms comfortable and relaxing, you forget you're in a strip mall on one of the busiest roads in Traverse City. They really know what they're doing and the pricing is fair for the quality of service you get. They are very professional and intuitively know when to carry on a conversation and when you're just needing to zone out and not talk. As a person with touch-sensitive issues, I have always felt very safe and comfortable at Discover.
