I wish I had read the reviews about Desert Sun Realty and Anna Argenio before applying to one of their managed properties. Worst application experience ever. If you find a home that you like that's managed by them and want to apply then get ignored for almost a month, then by all means, other than that, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND STAY AWAY. All these reviews are true and exactly how she treated my application. Was very responsive when it came to touring and applying, but once that happened. No word for almost a MONTH until I received a decline letter. Mind you, I applied October 19th, 2024, and she knew I was looking to move-in by November 1st or the 1st week of Nov. Sent her a text 10/23 and 10/26 with no response along with 2 other voicemails, NOTHING. I received the declined email today 11/14/2024, almost a month after applying and 2 weeks after I was looking to move in. Luckily, I'm quick to read the room and applied elsewhere while waiting, got approved, and picked up keys ALL WITHIN A WEEK. During that process, I was never left hanging, kept getting updated by the property management company and always felt they cared. DO NOT LET THIS SCAM COMPANY MANAGE YOUR PROPERTY because they will help you lose out on a ton of possible potential tennants. read more

Attempted to lease a home in Boulder City. Desert Sun Realty's Leasing manager - initials are "AM" was our contact. Our story: we were fully approved. but due to business travel we could not move in immediately. We brought this very important issue to the attention of the leasing manager. She agreed that this wouldn't be an issue and that she would notify us if any new applicants applied. She also stated that she would give us the "first right of refusal" and if another applicant applied we could give a nonrefundable deposit to hold the home for a January 1, 2013, move-in date. Needless to say, we were counting on this home. Approximately two weeks ago (early December 2012), we received a call from her assistant indicating that the home had been leased and that we should "call back in 6-9 months to inquire if anything is available." This certainly ruined our year! After the phone call from the assistant, I have left messages with the leasing manager to call me back to explain why she didn't keep her word and act professionally. I haven't heard anything. I must also add that I made a complaint with the office manager over a month ago that the leasing manager would rarely return my phone calls. No one addressed this issue either. If you're seeking to lease a home in Boulder City, and from the way I was treated (my opinion as well) I wouldn't recommend this company or this leasing agent. read more

To me there is nothing less professional or rude that a company can do that is worse than returning a call. This is becoming more and more common in this industry. Real estate agents fail at an astounding rate. Maybe they should be taught to return calls along with the rules of real estate in that particular state. Wouldn't do business with these folks if they were the last on earth. read more

My wife and I contacted Anna from Desert Sun Realty to look at a unit. We needed a new condo as soon as possible, because of AC issues in our current one. We went and saw the unit, and we took an application to fill out for the unit. We told Anna that we are going to fill it out and drop it off, and put our 30 days notice in to be able to move in to it ASAP. We go home to fill out the application, and we stopped at our current realtor to give them our 30 days notice. Then we went to drop off our application at Desert Sun. We don't see Anna, we spoke to the woman at the front desk. We give her the application and go to pay for it, and are told that the condo was shown to someone else and an application was dropped off JUST before we dropped ours off.... So we end up not getting the condo. My wife called Anna and talked to her about another condo opening up next door to the one we didn't get. She said she knew we needed a place within 30 days and we would be first on the list to get it as soon as the tenants moved out in ~2 weeks. 2 weeks went by and we hadn't heard from Anna. My wife called and didn't reach her. My wife called again and didn't reach her and left a message. My wife called the office asking for Anna, and then told that Anna was busy and would return our call as soon as she was done. No call. A few days later, my wife tries calling Anna again and leaving another voicemail. She calls the office again and Anna is "still busy" and will get back as soon as possible. She calls my wife back this time, and says "I haven't forgot about you guys, the tenants moved out yesterday and I should have the keys by tomorrow". "Tomorrow": No word from Anna still. My wife calls her again and now Anna says "I won't have the keys because the landlord has them and I have to wait until he gives them back to me" with no ETA and none of this making sense, since landlords tend to want a new tenant in as SOON as possible. We wait another day and my wife calls again and not getting a hold of Anna. Calls the office again and asked if she can be helped by anyone else, if there are any other listings available and she is told to "go check the website and see if we have anything else". Really? We have been ignored and pushed off and in need of a HOME, and can't get anyone of you to do their JOB and assist us. Long story short, if you want someone to care about your HOME and helps you find it, look for a DIFFERENT real estate company. There are a few other real estate companies in Boulder City to choose from. READ the other reviews. Constant complaints of being ignored and no responses. read more

Bret handled the sale of our large home (when we could no longer do the stairs in our "forever" home) during the economic downturn. Found us the perfect buyer by working with another agent in town. When we were ready to buy, he found us a home, not even one of his own listings, & we love it!! Each time (& in the hunts between), he & his office were professional & attentive. They went above & beyond! He even acted as a conduit between us & our buyers when they sought to return decor from our home! I have used Desert Sun Realty multiple times over the last 10 years. Anna has successfully found me 5 rental properties in that time. All of those properties meeting my requests and time frame. The first property Anna was also the property manager for and was incredibly responsive and proactive with any issues that I had ran into regarding the property. I didn't realize how responsive she was until I moved into a property that she was not the property manager for. I continued to have problems with that property manager who would not respond to me. I expressed my gratitude to Anna for her outstanding services and told her about my problems with my new property manager. She took it upon herself to call the other real estate office for me to ensure that the matter was taken care of. I continue to refer business to Anna and her team as she has always been professional and taken pride in her work. In a small town service like this speaks volumes. Do NOT work with Desert Sun unless your are prepared to handle unresponsiveness, irresponsibility, and deal with hassles and inconveniences. My now-husband and I found a house we wanted to rent in Henderson when we first moved to the Las Vegas valley. From the beginning, the leasing manager, Anna, was unresponsive to our relator. Eventually we were able to get in touch with her ourselves to see the house, and were able to move in within 2 weeks. Throughout our time leasing the property, we had issues that Anna would need to be repeatedly contacted to address, however, they were few and far between that it was not too bothersome and we were able to shrug them off. HOWEVER, when we moved out, I talked to Anna regarding the water service to the property. In our past experiences, the water needs to remain running to a property, otherwise the property is condemned. I called Anna to ask her specifically what to do regarding the water service, and she told me to leave it on and that she would call the City of Henderson and have the water transferred to Desert Sun. Well, that never happened, and after continuing to receive water bills for the property despite no longer living there, I called Anna and was advised that the water service would be transferred. She also told me to send her the bill, which I did. I no longer wanted to deal with the hassles of continuing to receive bills, so I had the water discontinued. I received the final bill and met with her assistant at the property and gave him the bill. At that time, I was told that the previous bill had not been paid because Anna "didn't want to have to make two payments". I was assured that this bill would be taken care of. The bill was due Monday January 28th, and as of 5PM on Friday Feb 1st, it has not been paid. I again contacted Desert Sun and was told by Dusty that Anna "had been busy" and "hasn't gotten around to it". He gave me her cell phone number, and when I called her I immediately was put into voicemail and left her a message. I then called back to Desert Sun and was told this would be followed up on Monday Feb 4th. I'm very skeptical. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company, ESPCIALLY ANNA MARIE ARGENIO. ALL of the complaints made are true. They never respond and we got screwed over when we decided to rent a place from them. The apartment had a bunch of problems and every time we called to get something fixed, no answer. We got evicted over a misunderstanding with the constables office and Anna REFUSED to give us back out security deposit. This place came highly recommended, so I was rather shocked when I received less than stellar customer service while buying a house. A majority of the time it was me calling and chasing around the Realtor to try and get answers, or to see what was going on. The main Realtor is extremely hard to get a hold of, we thought we would be working with him, instead we find ourselves speaking more to his assistant than him. We received e-mails about offers and counter offers instead of the more appropriate phone call. We were left to basically decide what our options were on our own, even when we called with questions regarding a counter offer or accepting the offer we were put on the back burner and waited sometimes days to receive an answer, and when we would get it it came from the assistant and not the Realtor. It seems they have too many clients at the moment and they are not able to give the proper dedication and attention to each one. If it weren't for us just wanting this process to be over, we would have moved on to a different real estate firm. read more
