The staff is absolutely amazing and the facilities and amenities are great. I like the sauna in the bathrooms and the full gym as well as the laundry facility game room and pool table. Best RV park I stayed at great people. Nice clean place safe very helpful made my trip so much easier staying at Desert Sands.

I'm sure every property management is terrible but just know you're not getting your deposit back and they will add things to make you pay for. mind you, I had the carpet cleaned routinely while I lived at their property and they still charged 300 for carpet cleaning. On top of 1000 of unnecessary charges. they did inspections annually and never said anything was wrong with the place but upon move out there's all these things that need to be fixed. read more

The hosts were so nice! The clubhouse and laundry were clean. It was awesome to have full hookup with dump. There are permanent residents who are also nice and the park is quiet. We stayed here while visiting family. It was awesome having a gatekeeper at the entrance. Very safe. read more

And the problems with this place started before I even got there. They don't answer their phone and they don't return calls. I checked in and they charged my credit card for the three night stay. It was pretty ghetto and a lot of the RV sites were cluttered with trash. But I was going to stay anyway. My site was pretty crooked and my are you electric leveler couldn't straighten me out which has never happened before. And I left the park. I tried to get a hold of them to let them know that I wanted to cancel and would there be a refund. Again no call back. I left a message and no one ever got back to me. And I understand that there are a cancellation policies but I could've at least gotten a call back explaining they had no intention of refunding any of my money. The place is under new ownership. And not a great start with customer service. read more

Easy stay they were very organized about 25 mins from the strip. I would give a 5 but they allowed a rv to pop up a pop up tent with coverings all the way around it. And they seemed to be using a saw saw uhmm. read more

TO ALL FOLKS IN RV RENTALS - After a long drive back home, I needed to empty our tanks. Cruise America was going to charge $65 for the service. The young man at this resort allowed me to do it for $20. Awesome guy came out and helped hose everything off too. Great hospitality! read more

Good morning from Las Vegas !! My wife and I are full time Rv'rs ... I posted my credit score to add credibility to this post. My wife and I travel full time we came to Vegas for convention for our online business we had no intention of staying in Las Vegas our intention was to head to YUMA afterwards . We decided to stay in Vegas for the winter to build our business .. Vegas in the winter gets booked up . We went to this RV resort and from the pictures you can see why my wife was nervous about staying there alone while I travel for periods of time without her .. we paid for a month and left early on what we thought was good terms !! Linda the manager seemed fine when we left . We needed security at night so we came to the oasis .. great reviews clean ... we got tucked in between two huge condos and my business is Wifi dependent and wasn't meeting our needs ! So we checked out the RIveria cam recommended by some friends we trust ... we called about availability and drove to secure a spot and stay till April when we travel back East for the summer and back in August till spring . They did their background check and was told we couldn't go there because Linda said we are park hoppers !! And we got denied at Riveria because of her opinion of what we are doing moving around . This Review is about the manager Linda .. I called the next morning to get clarity on why she said no to us . Being a general manager for years and working for a company that pounded the importance of customer service !! I was shocked how she talked to me . I wasn't wanting to argue with her I just wanted to understand ! I would of fired a manager for treating customers the way she has ! Read some of the other reviews about her . I feel compelled to find her boss which she said she didn't have to give me that !! Therefore I'll find it for myself !! Mcgavin llc out of Arizona . I would like to explain my disappointment to him in regards to someone that turns away people because she can !! I would be willing to bet he has no idea . I've been to quit a few RV parks since owning a coach, but...this one has the friendliest people I've ever met. From the day I pulled in, till the day I left, I was assisted with practically everything. Paul, one of the security guards played a major role in getting my rig properly connected and upon departure...disconnected, but connected my car carrier to the coach. This guy was incredible. And I doubt that I could have gotten everything accomplished without his assistance. The neighbors were exceptionally friendly, from a genuine standpoint. I highly recommend Desert Sands RV Park as your place to stay when in Henderson NV or even near the Las Vegas area. Wish there were more than a five star rating scale. I was passing through and in need of filling up my fresh water tank in the van and was striking out left and right... didn't think they'd let someone passing through fill up, especially for free, but shockingly they did! I know that may not be the norm but I soooo appreciated it as I was in a pinch! If Henderson was somewhere I had to stay for an extended period of time, this is most likely where I'd end up because of their kindness, generosity, and understanding. read more

I moved to this park in sept 2020. I paid 435 a month plus electric. I was told there was going to be a $20 a month increase in Jan 2021. However when i paid rent for Dec 2020.....my rent was 475 plus electric. The explanation i was given was that i was put into a medium space and was being charged wrong all along. They gave me no notice. Just wanted their money. No offer to move spaces for the cheaper rate. I am beyond frustrated with how this was handled. A medium space......my trailer barely fits.......not sure how i can downsize. read more

This place was ok, we just needed a quick overnight stay and the people were very nice and accommodating to let us in late and find us a spot. Pretty basic and worked well for a quick stay Super smushed together, with a lot of long term trailers. I didn't feel the safest letting my family walk around so we probably wouldn't stay here again. read more

We're new to the rv life, and our lease ending during a pandemic was scary, not knowing where we would go. We decided to try out desert sands as we have an older rig, and many parks have age restrictions for the rv parked on premises. When we arrived we were helped quickly and passed the visual inspection to get approved. The maintenance was very kind, to us and our dogs and helpful setting up power and water. Martin was a big help. The pool is a nice add on to the clubhouse and the bathrooms are sufficient and clean. It's not the fanciest of parks but it is secure and quiet. Multiple dog runs and friendly staff. So far it has been rather nice, considering it's location on boulder highway it's just far enough away from must of the ruckus associated with boulder highway. A lot of long time residents that are kind and friendly. It's not the Ritz but it is a good place for us and i wanted others to read a positive review, amongst the bad. It looks like new ownership and remodeling has benefited the park greatly. read more

Not my kind of RV camping. Tight spots and many people using this as a residence. Very small dog parks. Not good for large dogs.

I used the RV Park Labor Day weekend and had the best experience working with Debbie, Kathleen, and Darryl. We came in late after some unexpected delays and they were nothing but helpful getting us setup. Their experience was invaluable after a full day of traveling. We called this place when we were an hour away. No answer. A machine said we'd get a call back. No call back. We arrived in our 36 ft. RV and someone was hanging around. We asked if he had a space to fit us. He said he did. We asked how much. He said $40.00 but only in cash. I didn't have enough cash but he wouldn't take a credit card. It would be great if they posted rates and payment terms on website so not to waste our time driving so far out of our way to this RV park as there was nothing else available. Plus, to get out of this park, we had to make a loop through the park and it is so darn tight. Don't bring a Class A here. Too tight. read more

Well where do I start, I feel they don't listen or care about the people who have been living there for a while.it feels like a half way house and if you have a car then no . They have remodeled the facility all new electrical upgraded the pool area with more upgrades on the way.. Staff and management are excellent and security is really appreciated. The monthly rate is very reasonable includes water and sewer. I have lived here for several months and watched the transformation. read more

my RV n travel trailer ppl there are NOT many options to stay when you come to Las Vegas that are safe resort style but here are two gems I highly recommend.. Just using the dumping facilities which were $10. Took the time to walk a round and take some photos. My Husband has grown up in "Hendertucky" and he remembers this RV park since he was a little kid. Looks like a lot of retirees but then again we saw at least two RV's staying here that were at least $100,000. Family's were using the swimming pool which looked really well kept. The office/ Soda Fountain had everything you would need. I bought ice cream sandwiches for my children while my husband used the dumping station for our trailer. read more

This place was alright when I was here four months ago. But this last visit, passing through on the way home, the management has changed for the worst. I don't want to sound rude but the new manager lady (Sharon) is very unprofessional and rude. Extremely rude to us of color. I'm just letting anyone that is not white beware, she will not treat you very kindly. Old white peoples will never change. I'll never coming back to this place again. read more

Desert Sands RV Resort is terrific! Kings Row is not. Our family was transitioning from Hawaii. On July 4th, we bought an RV motorhome to live in while house-hunting. Kings Row enthusiastically invited us to stay When my husband recovering from 2 back surgeries, and my daughter still receiving CTCA cancer treatments in Phoenix had a yelling match in the laundry room at Kings Row RV Park, the timid woman that works in the office stood outside the door eavesdropping acting too terrified to go inside even though she knew that they were ill and under duress. We forgi t about this one incident. After leaving our motorhome parked at Kings Row in September, we went to a family reunion in Illinois. When we came back with a couple of our kids to live-in a second trailer that we wanted to park next to the motorhome, the owner at Kings Row told us no. First, because the trailer isnt owner occupied (our kids were in it, and I said that I would stay in it. The said that no I wouldn't) Then, we were given another excuse told that the space was for snowbirds coming to park for the season. I showed them to remind them that we had a checkbook with their address, because they said we could stay throughout the winter (snowbirds). We were told we could not stay at Kings Row with no valid reason why we had to go. Moving again was a nightmare...thanks for nothing Kings Row. We moved to the Desert Sands RV Resort...a match made in heaven. They have strong minded, capable people who are NOT afraid of known shadows. Both parks are old, but in spirit, there is no match. "Kings Row is for old people at heart, and Desert Sands is for young people at heart." DESERT SANDS RV RESORT is well maintained....the rent is better too. The gate is secured at night. It is quiet, and we never had complaints from other snowbirds or management of being noisy. In fact, we have been invited back...anytime. We have since sold the trailer, and the motorhome is parked at our new house waiting for our next travel adventure. Our next trip to Vegas won't be anywhere near Kings Row...NO WAY, but we will stay at Desert Sands in a heartbeat...OH YEAH! read more

Been dumping my fifth wheel at desert sands rv in henderson for years and it was 10.00. Not the best price to dump but it works. I went to dump Monday and the place is under new management and now its 20.00 to dump. I have never paid over 10.00 to dump anywhere. They lost my business. I will go down the road a couple more miles and dump there. It's a little out of the way but better then 20.00 to dump. read more

Keep in-mind, it's Las Vegas (Henderson) which means the less ritzy part and this park could really use some improvements but it offered a fairly well-kept store, laundromat, clean hot showers and restrooms and a pool. Yes, some of the residents (semi-permanent) are basically the 'Clampetts' with a collection of accumulated yard junk on or near their rigs, or a mix of cute chotsky that leans towards overly-tacky. I didn't see any 'yard couches' but there might have been one somewhere. Half working mans camp, half retirees on a budget and some down on their luck round out the mix but everyone was very nice and you didn't feel unsafe, even after dark. Rigs are stacked fairly close to each other but the rate was less than half the going rate of most area parks so budget mined-rver's might appreciate the savings like we did. read more

I would stay here again, people are nice , it's old and a little run down but you got everything you need. I never seen the police here and people who know me know how long I stayed here. You have free wifi , a common area , you have a pool , old but very clean restrooms. The people when I first saw them I judged not what I was use to, they are long haired old guys, yea kinda looks creepy but what is creepy, after awhile you loosen up they smile you smile and a conversation starts and you don't even see the creepy you see a nice human being, quiet and polite , so they are long haired and unkept but they are super country and nice.... Because most of these people been here so one its like a family thing. Thanks for having me, Linda the cook was super friendly, Serena was always real and cool and lee was very talkative like you knew him forever..
