Well my fellow yelpers, this place is just OK. The grounds here are amazing and beautiful; yet the room is very hard to navigate. We stayed in the studio which is shy of 600 feet, but whoever organized this place had a strange sense of counter space and where to place electrical electric outlets. One example is there's an outlet near the stove and that made it really interesting when I went to make coffee in the morning; it was a major search to find an outlet, then a dance of coordination to figure out how to organize what little counterspace we got. But the place doable. So, if you don't mind a lumpy bed the very crowded space. What is more, the couch looks like something out of the 70s; then the showerhead is not adjustable at all. As a result of water sprays all along the back wall, and above the shower curtain rod all over the floor. Just the nuances of being in a room I suppose. The gym? Old cybex equipment, Two treadmills and two ellipticals, and two stationary bikes, all piled on top of each other. Lest I forget, very anemic fans on the roof that goes so slow, they make you fall asleep. However, that seems typical for most hotels and/resorts that I've stayed in. There are plenty of tennis courts and a beautiful pool with Jacuzzi outside the clubhouse and gym. But you'll have to come experience that one for yourself.

I was shocked to see all the bad reviews. We enjoyed the week here. It was a bonus week through Interval . We would definitely stay here again. Granted is wasn't a 5 Star but it was clean and had everything we needed. It has state of the art washer and dryer in a laundry room. No charge no resort fee.

Desert Breeze, first off it's beautiful ONE THE OUTSIDE. Looks like a oasis get away. Once you get in your actual unit, it's a different story. Furniture is OLD and out dated and has a old thrift store smell. Usually rooms are well coordinated color and furniture wise, it was none of that! The staff is rude, they could careless, there mission is to get rid of you as soon as possible. There communication is really vague. When you check in at the gate they say make a right and go to clubhouse and hang up. WHEN ACTUALLY it's a long drive and turn and then a right. When you call they briefly answer, and hang up. Our wifi isn't working AT ALL. Called, front told us the WiFi name password and hung up. We already have that information, our problem is IT'S NOT WORKINGGGGGGGGGG. They give you a guest directory booklet (which is kind of nice) but I feel like they just want you to read the book and leave them the heck alone. Let's be honest, who really about to read this book!? Jacuzzi's are unavailable (COVID). They have nice side walks, around the parks and tennis courts. We brought our skates, we can't skate! It's a "violation" everything is a violation. One of our restrooms shower/tub didn't drain. The stopper refused to stay up. So I had to wedge a complementary soap up under that thang. Check out usually 11/12, there checkout is at 10am. We can't check in until 4pm (late) but you want us to check out at 10am (early) yea okay. My dad booked this through USAA they insured him it was one of the best places to stay. HAHA the jokes. We should have checked YELP before we booked. Thanks for reading! Shout out to Nasty Ned! (He's about 80, & apparently lives there and is king of the Tennis Courts!)

It's a living room.

We live in San Diego. During the pandemic, we banked our Villa del Palmar week and had to use it so we decided to trade for the Coachella Valley 10/21-28. The resort has a lot of positives: super quiet, very comfortable bed and pillows, two bathrooms in the unit, very well maintained grounds. Also, the community was lovely with friendly residents and nice little neighborhood for me to run in the morning. Lots of the buildings have little jacuzzis right out front; unfortunately, our was out of service the first 5 nights we were there. Although the unit was large and comfy, the furniture was mismatched in the living room. The coffee, side table, and dining room chairs were well worn and scratched up but the couch, living room chairs, and bed were almost brand new. The dresser was cheap and flimsy as was the TV stand in the living room. There was a full kitchen but the electric stove either burned super hot or hardly at all. The shower was just hot enough at full blast so during the winter, it might not be hot enough. There was no information or receptacles for recycling so that was concerning. Also, gym was closed. I think the most concerning for me was the entire resort's (and the entire surrounding area) disregard of the drought. We are in a 1200 year drought and the entire area was watered daily and constantly. My husband and I are extremely water conservative so this bothered me a bunch. But we did have a good time and got in some pretty good R&R.

My ornery note of complaint.

Limited office hours - not a good place for business travelers. They have a $14/day resort fee and since their office wasn't open while I was there to pay it, they locked me out of my room. They are obviously a LEAN operation. Probably good if you are here to hang around the pool, but not if you're a business traveler.

The Desert Breezes Resort is a really wonderful vacation getaway destination in Palm Desert. The resort staff at the front desk are all so very friendly and accommodating. The maintenance and housekeepers are also very helpful and attentive. The resort has gorgeous landscapes and is nestled in a nice private gated community. The rooms are well taken care of with a nice modern decor. Because they are timeshare, you get all the great benefits of a home environment like kitchen, living room, bedrooms, etc... I always prefer to vacation in condos rather than a hotel room. I really enjoyed the semi-private jacuzzi in front of the condos. It was really convenient to just walk a few steps outside your front door and relax in the jacuzzi under the stars. :) The resort has great amenities: pools, tennis courts, putting greens, exercise room, gas barbecues and of course the jacuzzis. It's also close by to all the great attractions of Palm Desert. This place is great for family time or a romantic getaway.

Great vaca location in the desert. Room was a two bedroom 2 bath. Pretty updated and quiet. The only thing is the pool is really dirty. Parking spots are a little confusing to figure out, but not that big of a deal. The pool could use a pool vacuum and power wash on the concrete surrounding. Overall our stay was great stay. The desert is a great vaca location and very affordable.

The resort is beautiful, incredibly clean and spacious, and the aesthetic is gorgeous. There are plenty of restaurants and places to eat and drink, beautiful pools, and so much to enjoy throughout the property. The food was also amazing everywhere we ate, from the restaurants to the café! What impressed me most was the customer service. From check-in and the golf cart drivers to housekeeping, restaurant staff, and bartenders, everyone was attentive, respectful, and genuinely kind. If you ask for directions, they don't just point you somewhere, they actually walk you there. That level of hospitality really stood out to me. A special mention to Cris, who welcomed guests outside and opened the doors. His kindness and hospitality made such an impression on me. I had such a beautiful experience here and cannot wait to return. I'll definitely be recommending Omni Rancho Las Palmas to my friends and family!

I really wanted to love this resort, especially because it's marketed as such a family-friendly destination, but there were quite a few things that left us disappointed. Cons **The rooms feel dated.** The room itself was definitely on the older side, both in appearance and smell. We were placed downstairs, and you could hear the guests above us walking around at all hours of the morning and night. **The fan was extremely noisy.** As a light sleeper, this was a big issue for me. The fan made a constant noise that kept waking me up throughout the night. **The beds are very firm.** If you're looking for that fluffy, comfortable hotel bed experience, this probably isn't it. The beds were quite hard and not very comfortable for us. **The carpet was FILTHY.** This was probably one of my biggest issues. Our one-year-old isn't walking yet, so while we were unloading the car, we let her crawl around the room for about 5 minutes. When we picked her up, her hands, knees, and the tops of her feet were BLACK from the carpet. It was so bad that she needed a bath immediately. **Parking is $30 a night + tax.** On top of everything else, parking adds up quickly. **Everything feels like an extra charge.** The resort really nickel-and-dimes you. You can't even turn on the TV and watch basic programming for free -- not cartoons, not Channel 5, nothing. Everything seemed to require a purchase. **Pool food and drinks are EXPENSIVE.** We ordered chicken nachos and two cocktails at the pool and somehow ended up with a $75 bill. **The biggest disappointment: the main water attractions close at 3 PM.** This was honestly shocking to me. The lazy river, Splashtopia, and the main water attractions close at **3 PM**. So if you're thinking, "We'll sleep in, have a leisurely morning, and spend the afternoon at the pool," think again. By 3 PM, those attractions are closed. You can still use the other pools, but they're basically standard pools -- nothing particularly special that you couldn't find at many other hotels or resorts. Pros **The staff was AMAZING.** I especially want to recognize the gentleman outside who I believe may work with valet/bellman. He was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to offer us assistance and make us feel taken care of. He really made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Honestly, because of him and the kindness of the staff, I can't give this resort a 0-star review. ### Final Thoughts Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be back. We came here to celebrate our baby's first birthday and were hoping for a special, relaxing family getaway. Between the dated and dirty room, the noise, extra fees, expensive food, and the 3 PM closing time for the main water attractions, the experience just wasn't worth the price for us. There are definitely other resort options in the area that I would consider before staying here again.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The staff was so nice and so helpful with a few things that came up and we had to extend our stay for another night. The staff was helpful and accommodating and did everything to make our stay stress free. On our next visit to a Palm Desert we will be staying here again.

Prior to our…read moretrip, my husband had made several attempts--over the course of months--to upgrade our reservation to a two-bedroom unit. Each call to the 1-800 number involved wait times exceeding 45 minutes, but we were consistently reassured that an upgrade could be accommodated upon arrival. Unfortunately, this was not the case. At check-in, the front desk informed us they could not assist and directed us to contact the 1-800 number again. After doing so, we spoke with a representative who reviewed the notes from our previous calls and confirmed that an upgrade should be possible. We were advised to request a manager upon returning to the desk. However, after waiting in line again and explaining the situation, the manager declined to come out and instead relayed through staff that the last two-bedroom unit had already been taken. As a family of five, a one-bedroom was not suitable, but we decided to move forward and make the best of the situation. Upon arriving at Building 6, we were immediately concerned by the condition of the property. The stairwells had visible cobwebs and scattered trash, giving the impression of poor upkeep. When we entered the unit, it was clear the space was not well designed for comfort. The living area was cramped due to excessive, unnecessary furniture, and both the living room and bedroom felt tight and poorly arranged. The bathroom was adequately sized but only had a single sink. The shower/tub leaked water, and the shower curtain appeared insufficient, which likely contributed to visible water damage. There was also noticeable mold and general uncleanliness in the bathroom. The carpeting throughout the unit appeared heavily soiled. The pool experience was also disappointing. The property advertises multiple pools, including two with water slides. On our second day, we attempted to enjoy these amenities, only to find that one of the main pools connected to a slide was closed, with assurances it would reopen the following day. At the main pool, we found the patio furniture in poor condition--cushions were torn and visibly dirty--and the pool water itself appeared unclean. Additionally, there was ongoing construction nearby, which disrupted the environment and required guests, including my daughter, to repeatedly accommodate workers passing through. We moved to a quieter pool area, which was somewhat better, but the water still appeared less than clean. On the third day, the previously closed pool remained unavailable, adding to our frustration. We eventually found another pool area that was better maintained, with cleaner seating. Food service was also inconvenient, as everything had to be ordered through a mobile system with no traditional waitstaff, which made the experience less enjoyable. Other issues included receiving extra blankets and pillows delivered in trash bags, which felt highly unprofessional. The pull-out sofa bed was in poor condition, with torn bedding and what appeared to be stains on the mattress. Overall, after four days, we were ready to return home. This was one of the most disappointing stays we have experienced. The lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and unresponsive customer service made it difficult to enjoy what should have been a relaxing family trip.
