Our backyard is a whole different place now, as you can see from the photos. In addition, I could't imagine doing anything but travertine decking. It just looks incredible and should hopefully the last the test of time. The whole process was very professional. They actually showed us a mockup of our house, which was a nice touch. We originally were going to do a spa/pool combo but settled on just the pool to keep things cost effective. They also drove us to show a sample of one of their pools. The only thing I would have done differently in hindsight is to get everything planned out way before construction. I don't blame that on them, we just didn't have a clear vision for what we wanted to do with the rest of the yard and had a strict budget. You will want to know what you want to do with the whole space, not just the pool. Everything worked out fine but going into it without all those details planned is what made things feel a bit rushed at times. Take your time on the whole project and the experience will probably be a lot smoother with less last minute decision making. We were just so focused on the pool we forgot about everything else lol. As far as pricing goes, I got quotes from three other companies. There was a lot of variation in what they wanted to do, the lowest quote, for example, included a concrete pool deck which wasn't what we wanted at all. The quotes were all within about 15% of each other, but Aquatic was only a month out versus the 6-8 months the others quoted. That alone made the decision pretty easy.
