Four days later the tooth was very infected and I was in discomfort I called around and got four referrals to go to Memphis oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic.in Whitehaven TN.. On Monday afternoon after I was told that the first dentist couldn't do anything else for me. It was past his expertise. They took me in at 2 PM at 3:30 I was out and out of pain. I have not had any pain I was treated with kindness. Staff was great and I am on my way to recovery or already there, THANK YOU Dr. Ronald Staples DDS MY NAME IS JUDY BUTLER!!

HE DOES NOT GIVE PROPER PAIN MANAGEMENT & HAS CONTINUOUSLY LEFT ME IN UNNECESSARY PAIN!…read more I am a current patient of Dr. Staples as of 7/6/2020. He performed a double jaw surgery (he separated my jaws and placed them in proper position) on me 6/3/2020 and to this day has fought me on proper pain management. In the hospital, Dr. Staples prescribed ONE pain reliever to be administered to me ever 4 hours. I was in excruciating pain, I asked for another pain medication to alternate and she said that she would have to request it. She did and when he came to visit it seemed that he didn't want to prescribe anything additional. My husband and I constantly called on the nurses and they contacted Staples until he finally prescribed a pain medication and a breakthrough medication that gave me some relief. Fast forward to the weekly visit that I have to follow up with him concerning my healing process, he gave me pain medication in dosages of 4mg and 2 mg, every 4 hours. My son had a procedure last month and was given a shot of 2mg pain reliever. He's two and 35lbs; I'm 37, 216lbs. The pain relief was brief. We continued to call and ask for different pain medication and at one point he proceeded to get an attitude as if he had actually given me the help I needed. When I came into his office, he told me he wanted me OFF the pain medication a week after surgery and compared me to his other patients; saying they were already off their medication (WTF, how? Cuz the sh** he did to my mouth is still causing pain a month later). I received better pain management from another surgeon when he removed all of my wisdom teeth compared to the major surgery that Dr. Staples performed. What really made me write this review, while I'm still a patient is today he re-placed bands in my mouth (they are wrapped very tightly) and I am having sharp pains on the right side of my face. CONSTANT, NONSTOP! He doesn't want me to remove the bands but he only wants me to take Amitriptyline 25mg and Ibuprofen 600mg. I have ibuprofen 600mg and Cyclobenzapr 5mg in my home for common pain. I truly believe that he just doesn't care and may find it funny that I'm in pain and he CAN provide me pain relief. My orthodontist confirmed what Staples stated that the surgery went well but I can't tell because I'm in a whole lot of PAIN. Y'all I've had a lot of surgeries from wisdom teeth, to dilation, the root canals, bridge work, cavities, potential pacemaker implant, to ectopic pregnancies. I HAVE NEVER BEEN LEFT IN THIS MUCH PAIN OR WITHOUT A DOCTOR WHO IS WILLING TO REWRITE A PROPER PRESCRIPTION Please don't be deceived by the 5 . Research your options and ask about pain management before committing to Staples as your surgeon.
