Both my daughter's attended PCC for a year. The last month we were there my youngest child…read morecomplained to me that the younger of the two teachers in the class (Aubree) smacked her acrossed the face. I addressed the issue with the director (Cindy) who assured me that she would talk to the teacher and keep a close eye on the class. About two weeks later, my youngest daughter confided in me again about the older teacher (Barb) who was flicking the children in there head, including my daughter, at circle time when they weren't paying attention. I again went straight to the Director and told her we would find another center, and gave her my 2 week notice. She assured me that another teacher would be in that class that day because Barb was on vacation. When bringing my child the next day I found that Barb was back and asked if my daughter could be placed in another classroom or another teacher put into the classroom and Cindy refused. She said in both cases that the teachers denied the accusation and as far as she was concerned no other action was necessary. Her words to me were, "If you don't feel comfortable leaving her here, then don't." Great words of encouragement from a daycare director! Needless to say we didn't spend another minute there except to pack up their belongings. There has to be another policy in place for this type of issue! If we can't listen to our children about their caregivers then who do we listen to?

My son has only attended for two weeks, but so far we've been nothing but impressed!…read more About two months ago we reached out to schedule a meeting. Laurie told us all about the school and answered any questions. She gave us the opportunity to visit the classrooms and see how things run. My husband went to a Montessori school as a child, so he experienced a flood of happy memories. It was everything he dreamed of for our active little boy. We returned the next week with our little boy so he could join a class. The staff wanted to see how he fit in. Everything felt good, so we moved forward with enrollment. He's currently doing day care, but will do preschool this coming fall. Our plan is to do three full days a week (you can do full or half days, 3-5 days a week). To start the process of getting our son comfortable, they like to begin with five days. If possible, they like for one parent to stay with the child so they can leave early (probably a half day to start). This is allowing our son a smooth transition. Every child is different, so things can be adjusted depending on how they handle it. I look forward to posting again later once we've spent more time here and learn more. But we love this place so far!!

I can't say enough about this school! I shopped all over the area for a preschool for my son. I…read morefinally realized there was no way I would be able to pay for private preschool and enrolled him at Clark. And honestly, I was really sad about it. But I couldn't be happier! His teacher is amazing but I've met a lot of teachers over the year and they are ALL wonderful. The aides are fun and friendly with the kids, but also know how to lay down the law when necessary. All the aides know all the kids in all the classes, not just their own. They also go out of their way to say hi to me and my other son when we're there for drop off or pick up. We've had interactions with the school nurse and she is caring and amazing as well. My only complaints are: the office staff can be rude and lax at times. I've sat for LONG stretches with a toddler in tow just waiting for someone to acknowledge me. But having said that, they get things done when necessary. I've never had any issues with any administrative business. This is not a "pull up and drop off" set up. I don't know how most preschools work but you have to get out and walk your child into the classroom, which can be inconvenient with other children. Full day is only offered if your child will be entering kindergarten the following year. If your child is 3 s/he MUST be half day. There is no transportation provided unless your child has an IEP. This is really inconvenient for a lot of parents I've talked to and keeps a lot of kids from being able to attend. (And especially in my case, since one of the buses goes down our street and I literally follow it to the school every day.) Clark merges special needs students with mainstream students so every classroom is inclusive. My son's class has children from 3-5 who are all over the learning spectrum, as well as some ESL students. There are some physically disabled children in other classes as well. But I love that the kids all learn together and learn to help and accept each other. I'm so glad I "settled" on Clark. It turned out to be the greatest decision I could've made for him at this stage.

Please do not send your beautiful and innocent child to this daycare facility. Where to begin? I…read morethought with cameras I'd be in the clear, WRONG! My child was only going part time in the pre-toddler room, 3 days a week, yet he was ALWAYS sick! And when I say "always" I mean just that. No, not just your typical cold and runny noses. I get children will pass things on, I mean after all this was NOT his first daycare facility and I didn't have any issues at his prior. My job required me to leave the state so I ended up in Ohio at this horrible place. The front desk ladies are nice, I'm not too fond of the new director they had gotten during our time there but the teachers I wasn't too fond of...Sue, Brandy and I forgot the other brunette's name. I'm getting ahead of myself...my son was always sick because of the lack of cleaning going on in the facility. They can make the facility look clean in the sense of nothing out of place but the germs are living strong. I know there were various dinosaur toys in his room that were NOT being properly cleaned. I am use to dipping all the toys in hot sanitized water twice a day, during their nap and at the end of the day. None of this went on here. Also my son ALWAYS cried when I left him there, says a lot. Also one day his daily sheet read no wet diaper until 3pm that afternoon, I dropped him off at 8am everyday and I am thankful they didn't think ahead to lie on his sheet but how they thought only 1 wet diaper was acceptable in the hot summer is beyond me!! No drinks of water throughout the hot summer day and even if it weren't summer my kid and yours deserves unlimited amounts of clean, fresh and cold water. My poor child, thirsty all that time! The food is pretty limited too. He was ALWAYS hungry when I picked him up and he's an excellent eater! Also! I did a pop up on them and he was locked in an area in so much distress the teachers even looked at me like "uh oh, we're caught". The dry diapers were my last straw as with the croup illness he got and passed to his brother who didn't even go to the facility. My oldest son had a terrible breathing issue because of this croup he got from my youngest attending this dirty school! Do NOT send your child. If you want care In Huber heights I suggest early beginnings ! Loved it there just keep track of your account!
