I had a horrible experience at DermFx with the diamond facial service. The esthetician performed dermaplaning and cut off a significant portion of my eyebrows. When I called to report the issue, the manager immediately denied responsibility--first claiming dermaplaning wasn't done because I had the diamond facial, then insisting that "sometimes you experience hair loss," and later contradicting herself by saying the esthetician used a razor only on the bottom of my face. Not only was I made to feel like I was lying, but no responsibility was taken despite the obvious mistake. I could see and feel where the razor had been used across my entire face--including my eyebrows. I even heard the distinct sound as the brow hair was removed. Instead of an apology, I was offered free Latisse as if that could fix the error, but again, with no accountability. This was an extremely unprofessional and upsetting experience. Beware: if you value your brows and want to be treated with honesty and care, avoid this place. read more

I got Botox by Vanessa two weeks ago for my jaw and felt no relief. I have been getting Botox for years and even DermFx email says if after 2 weeks you don't feel anything come back. I went back and got Vanessa again even though I was told I was getting another girl and she said it takes 4 weeks for Botox to take effect??? I have been to many places and have never been told this. Then she said maybe I don't feel it because I'm so used to getting it. I just felt like I was given the run around in why it wasn't working. Then when I left my partner said her and the front desk girl were taking about me saying "what does she want now" and laughing while talking about me. It made my partner uncomfortable and he felt it was unprofessional. I will probably ask for a different provider next time. read more

I've tried Botox several times at DermFx. Very Disappointed with results. I believe at times they use older Botox. The last time I had close to 80 units injected. The results were as if I didn't have Botox. Two weeks after my Dermfx injections, I went to a dermatologist and had 70 units injected. That worked perfectly, they effects started to work several days after the injection. So, I have to believe What DermFx used wasn't good Botox. I truly hate that I hate to write this review, but I'm curious how many other DermFx patients have paid good money, only to get No or very mild results? I didn't go back to DermFx after two weeks because DermFx would just charge me again for Botox, so I decided to see a real Doctor for Botox. Disappointing Experience - Poor Communication & Organization I really wanted to like this place, especially since a friend referred me. However, my experience has been frustrating from start to finish. When I called to schedule an appointment for my mom, I was asked to provide a credit card to create an account--standard practice, so I had no issue with that. When we arrived for our appointment, I was pleased with Vanessa and the receptionist; they were both great. My mom was prescribed a cream to lighten certain areas before her actual treatment, and Vanessa quoted us $80. However, when it was time to pay, the price suddenly jumped to $130. I explained that we had been told $80, and thankfully, Vanessa was there to clear up the mistake. We paid the correct amount--in cash--and opted to pick up the cream rather than have it mailed. The following week, I noticed my credit card had been charged. When I called, they said they would speak to the manager, and I did receive a refund. But then, another week passed with no update about my mom's cream. When I called to ask about it, I had to explain everything again, only to find out that because I was refunded, they never actually placed the order--even though we had paid in cash! They apologized and said it would take another week to order it from the pharmacist. Today, I followed up again and was told that they had tried calling me but had the wrong number. They assured me the cream was ready for pickup until 6 PM. However, just a few hours later, they called again, now asking if they could just mail it instead. I declined, as it would take even longer. At that point, they finally admitted that for "some reason," they had to return the cream--even though earlier, they had said it was in the refrigerator waiting for pickup. At this point, I don't feel confident moving forward with any treatments here. If they can't handle a simple cream order properly, how can I trust them with more complex procedures? I'll talk to my mom, but we're likely just going to request a full refund. Not letting this ruin the start of my month, but I'm extremely disappointed. read more

I want to preface this by saying I've been in the skin industry for 10 years as a licensed practitioner who also works in education for a leading global brand. I initially came in for dissolving on the lower part of my face, where filler had migrated. I was quoted $150 for an entire syringe of dissolver, which I thought was unusually cheap. I double-checked the price multiple times and was reassured it was correct, so I proceeded with booking the appointment. At the appointment, I asked again if $150 was indeed the price for an entire syringe, and was told it was. The dissolver was applied, and I left. About three weeks later, I returned because it seemed like very little, if any, progress had been made. This time, I also wanted my upper lip dissolved. During the appointment, we discussed the areas, and once again I asked about the pricing. This time, I was told the price was actually $150 per cc. I asked them to please look my chart so I'd know what was done at the last visit, because now I was very confused. I was informed that at my previous visit, I was likely injected with 15-16 cc's of a "mixture" of dissolver (1cc being actual dissolver?) and something else--though it wasn't specified exactly what was used. We continued with dissolving my upper lip, splitting a syringe between that and the sides of my face. Even though I was numbed, the procedure was painful. I could feel every jab of the needle in my lip. The technician mentioned she was focusing on the center of my lip but, regardless, I assumed it was being evenly distributed along the vermilion border. My lip was extremely swollen. The next day, I was heavily bruised (photos included), and the bruising continued. It was so dark that the only way to cover it was to wear black lipstick (though the bruising went past my lip and couldn't be covered by makeup). I still have migrated filler in the sides of my lip, which I assumed would be addressed but wasn't. I was told over the phone that I could return for an assessment, but would be responsible for paying for additional dissolver. This leads me to believe that their practitioners are not held to any real standards when it comes to proper or even dissolver placement. It seems they can inject whatever they want, however they like, and it's the client who bears the consequences. I've had my lips dissolved before and it was nothing like this. In the past, it was an easy process - after the initial swelling, my lips looked normal and even. In addition to having dissolver injected in the past, I've done filler, microneedling, undereye PRP, Botox, multiple sculptra vials, and threads - I have never experienced bruising like this, for any of those treatments. Bruising to this degree is not normal - it's on the fault of the technician who preformed the service. Also, filler is typically not injected into the center of the lip. I basically wasted money to have dissolver improperly injected into the one area I didn't need it. Given the risk of further trauma, hyperpigmentation, and possible broken blood vessels, I ultimately chose not to return (especially after reading more reviews on this page). Aside from the financial cost, this is also costing me time during the holidays. I definitely would not recommend this place, stay clear. read more

I was invited to the grand opening by one of your patients and was excited about the possibility of becoming a new patient for filler. However, as soon as I walked in, I felt very unwelcome. My friends and I, the only Hispanics in the room, were left standing around awkwardly while staff only attended to white women. It wasn't until after some time that someone finally approached us--just to hand us a flyer with pricing information. Despite feeling overlooked and judged, we still decided to proceed with our treatments, spending a total of $2,380. Unfortunately, the receptionist who handled our payment was incredibly rude, though I didn't catch her name at the time. Later, when I called to book an appointment, I encountered the same unwelcoming attitude from a receptionist named Jena (at least, that's the name given to me by an employee named Erica). Not only was she rude, but she also hung up without even thanking me. When I called back, I heard laughter in the background, making it clear that Jena realized her mistake & all of a sudden she had taken her 10 min break just like regular employee. I had some concerns and questions about my forehead and some bumps. She was completely dismissive and wasn't really making me feel comfortable. We decided on the Botox and not disport after she noted my aging lagging skin. That Makes me feel awesome. I go to check out and redeem my points and for some reason they can't give them to me? I felt that they handeled the situation so well. They called me to check up on me, had me come in and had me send photo updates so they could track the progress. I felt taken care of. Most places I have been to in the past are not extra careful to try and avoid the bruising. Every aesthetician I have seen here takes such extra care to try and avoid any veins or minimize bruising.
