The "technician" I was assigned did not know how to apply gel nail polish then blamed me for the…read morepain I was experiencing during application (which is not supposed to happen--it felt like I was holding my fingers over a lit flame and they still hurt hours after the experience was over). When I begged to switch to shellac since she clearly wasn't going to believe me that something was wrong with the gel, she only allowed it when I threatened to leave, calling me "sensitive" (I have tattoos and piercings all over my body, I am not sensitive). I paid 41€ for the shellac after a horrible experience happily, only to have her and her coworker hold my friends and I hostage in the salon so that they could talk to their boss and scalp me out of an extra 20€...5€ for each finger the technician merely applied one coat gel, not even paint. 5€ for each finger is utterly ridiculous, especially since my experience was so poor. They also charged my friends an extra 8€ each for getting their nails shaped and filed....on top of the money they paid to receive a manicure....for which the price should probably include shaping with a nail file...right? At a nail salon? Completely unprofessional, terrible experience. 61€ for a subpar shellac manicure is ridiculous and holding us in the store after paying to get even more money from us is disgusting and embarrassing. Do not go here.

It also left some permanent nasty laser scars on my cheek and eyelid. The results are so bad I went to my doctors and dermatologist and where in shocked when they saw me. Metropolitan Aesthetics has ruined my life. The psicological trauma from the treatment has finished a 10 year relationship with my fiancé and I lost my job. I actually went through several brand testers and did two trial runs with this and liked this one the best. I needed white make-up in a few days to be the character Macphisto for the upcoming U2 Innocence tour and wanted to pay tribute to a Zoo TV tour. Long story short, I needed a decent make-up that wasn't going to make me itch and the same time easy to apply. This is water based and smooth. The downfall is that it dries really fast, therefore, I had to practice all week with application. You literally have no more than 3 minutes from damp to dry to spread and get a matte finish on your skin. There were moments in which I had to start over again. The good news is that it is very light on the skin and it is the only brand in which I am not allergic to. It isn't, however, sweat proof, therefore, you will need a finishing powder. I didn't bother since the make-up would be on for no more than 3 hours nor will I actually be planning to get sweaty. The make-up is very $$$, however, it is what is used by professionals and what some in the Vancouver film industry use. I will upload a pic after the show.
