I flew to Cancun from NYC and scheduled an appointment for CO2 laser treatment using the Sonolife 2200 machine in five different areas: my face, neck, both hands and chest. The clinic arranged for their driver, Christian to pick me up from my hotel in the Cancun Hotel Zone on a Saturday afternoon. Christian was very friendly and his car was new and spotless. The clinic is conveniently located about 15 minutes from the Hotel Zone. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the receptionist, Liz. She asked me to apply hand sanitizer and invited me to relax in the waiting lounge area. Evette, the doctor's assistant then brought me into a treatment room where she carefully applied numbing anesthesia cream to all five areas. After about 45 minutes, my skin was fully numb and ready for the procedure. Evette then escorted me to meet Dr. Isabella. She was extremely professional and friendly. She thoroughly explained the CO2 procedure and suggested adding exosomes at an additional cost to help speed up recovery and reduce pain and swelling. I'm so grateful she recommended this, it was absolutely worth it. Dr. Isabella performed the procedure herself and it lasted approximately 4-5 hours. Throughout the entire process, she was gentle, meticulous and very professional. She also has a warm and kind demeanor, which made me feel comfortable and at ease. After the procedure, I settled my bill with Liz, who was lovely and she gave me a small goodie bag with gifts. Christian drove me safely back to my hotel. Dr. Isabella's team followed up with me that evening and again the next day to make sure I was following post-procedure care instructions and recovering well. This is a long overdue review of my husband's stay at Hospiten while we were on vacation in early…read more2023. He became very ill the day before we were supposed to fly home to Los Angeles and was taken by ambulance from our resort to Hospiten. He was admitted and due to the serious nature of his medical situation, had to stay in the hospital for two weeks. I can't say enough about how caring and competent the doctors were and how clean and pleasant the facility was... especially compared to the overcrowded conditions and rushed doctors we dealt with once my husband was admitted to a hospital at home to continue his care! It's true that care at this private hospital isn't cheap, but it was far less expensive than hospital care in the US. Fortunately, we were able to have all of the costs from my husband's treatment and stay at Hospiten reimbursed by our medical insurance, but they required extensive documentation, so be sure to understand what your insurance will require and get a copy of all of the records you'll need before you leave the hospital! A big, belated thank you to Dr. Rebeca Roman, Dr. Oscar Hernandez, Dr. Adan Paul Cuevas Quintero and the rest of the staff for their kind and patient care and for making a horrible, stressful situation a little less scary!

They did not know how to respond to a patient in cardiac arrest and, as a result, I watched my father die before my very eyes. My untrained eye could see he was arresting, but the nurses screwed around complaining that he was too big for them to move for 7 minutes before calling an emergency (because I started screaming for help). They waited another 4 before beginning one-handed compressions on a 230 pound patient. My dad never had a chance. He was admitted for hyponatremia and left two nights later in a body bag. I'm pursuing legal representation, but attorneys are disinterested in the case because of cartels' involvement in the private hospital system. Bottom line, if you want to live...try ANY other hospital. This incident was beyond tragic and 100% avoidable. For the $30K USD we paid, Hospiten could afford to buy wall-mounted AED machines for each room on the floor. Instead, they rolled a huge box machine into my dad's room 20 minutes into his heart attack. When I went up to collect his things 3 hours after they evacuated him to the ER, the remnants and mess were still all over the place. I had to collect his hearing aids from feces on the bathroom floor and the nurses who were literally responsible for his death watched me drag all of his belongings down the hall in a pillowcase as I wept. This is sub-human care. I wouldn't trust these people to take care of animals much less humans.
