I've seen Dr Jih for many years and her nursing staff and she are lovely. She is kind patient and attentive. That said her front office staff is not particularly accommodating and downright rude. I have always paid using a credit card and not been charged a surcharge and today I was told there was a 30% surcharge on my visit if I paid with a credit card. When I asked if I could run home and get another credit card or pay over the phone, the staff was very rude about it and said no. I finally asked to speak to either Dr. Jih or management and the receptionist called and spoke to the office manager, I was given the accommodation I had requested, which was to call with my card as soon as I got home. No one bothered to mention this fee when I arrived, and no one also mentioned that they take Apple Pay, which I do have and for which they don't charge surcharge . I will continue to come and see Dr. Jih but I suggest management talks to the front desk people because how they behaved was really unnecessarily rude, and poor customer service. At no point was there any let me see what we can do about this to help you. Especially since I have seen Dr. Jih for over 15 years and never had a problem before. read more

After seeing two "renowned" dermatologists for my skin issues that no one could seem to diagnose, I was still miserable to the point that I stopped going out in public. The retinol and laser treatments they tried weren't doing much except literally burning my face and a hole in my wallet. A friend suggested her dermatologist at DermSurgery Associates, and although he wasn't accepting new patients, I was set up with Dr. Boulos, whose care was truly life-changing! She was friendly and thorough, and although she couldn't pin point my diagnosis either, she suggested different management plans to see which one would work for my skin. After almost a year of trying antibiotics, immunosuppressants, and vasoconstrictors, my skin finally settled on a topical triple cream. Dr. Boulos also does my skin screening (for any suspicious spots that might turn into cancer) when I visit. They have a remote compound pharmacy that's super easy to use for any of those special medications as well. If you're still struggling with derm issues, I recommend giving DermSurgery Associates a try. It felt like my doctor was trying to really get at the root of the problem and help me, rather than sell me expensive treatments :') They also do virtual visits as well in these crazy times~ So happy that my skin is back to how it was before residency-- people actually comment on how healthy my skin looks instead of pointing out how red or blemished it is! Those dark days are hopefully forever in the past, and now I get to enjoy checking out new restaurants and yelping!! :D Some of the downsides: the wait time can be long, parking at the building is not validated, and oftentimes if you call the staff at the front desk, they will forward you to someone's voicemail box. Derm Surgery likely saved my husband's life. They checked him just 6 months after a melanoma surgery and discovered a new tiny spot on his face by his ear. In an abundance of caution they biopsied it and discovered the bad news that it is a merkel cell cancer. Hubby is being treated by M D Anderson now and responding well to immunotherapy. This aggressive cancer is what killed Jimmy Buffett and must be caught early. We are so thankful for the thoroughness of Derm Surgery! read more

Unfortunately, after Dr. Debra Chernosky (best dermatologist I've been to) retired, these people took over her practice. The office staff is rude, very unaccommodating and act like they're doing you a favor to see the doctor. Needless to say, I've found another dermatologist to treat me. Horrible experience after the wonderful care I was given by Dr. Chernosky. This practice doesn't even deserve a 1 star. read more

Horrible treatment and experience from this place. Dr. Asadi barely acknowledged me and could not offer the professional courtesy of explaining the surgery to correct the first failed excision performed by a different doctor of a cyst on my face would leave an ugly misshapen scar more than twice the size of the hole left after the first surgery. It would have been preferable to just leave the hole or explore other corrective measures, but this was not discussed with me. Seems this place just wanted to take my money with no consideration given to patient's optimal outcome. I was also required to pay first. What reputable medical provider requires payment before a procedure? Very troubling. After the procedure he suggested I just remove the stitches myself, then when I did return to have them removed he couldn't be bothered to even consult with me. He was touted as a specialist by the first doctor who referred me. i'm truly disappointed by this situation and lack of information and care I received. Dr. Ming Jih is lovely as is her entire staff. The entire experience was so great I had to write about it because I saw so many not good reviews. First of all walking into the waiting room is lovely and peaceful and clean and up to date. There was a lovely person who greeted me. I completed very minimal paperwork and within five minutes was taken back to a room and I just had enough time to change into account before I was seeing the doctor helps and answered all of my questions and even help to me with an unexpected issue all in a very timely manner. I feel very confident and comfortable in this office. I had a follow up appointment today about a concern that popped up after my appointment a few weeks ago. AGAIN Office was great! Friendly. Got me in and seen and area examined and questions answered and paid and out in 20 minutes. Front staff medical assistants and Dr. Jih all super professional and lovely. read more

Dr. Jih makes you feel very comfortable. Advises me on non-dangerous skin issues that could be taken care of but doesn't press me to have anything done!!! Doesn't try to sell me products either which I like! She's very knowledgeable, friendly, & patient as I asked a lot of questions. Didn't feel rushed. Booked the appoiment online, they changed the doctor i was supposed to see, charged me for the wrong doctor (Out of network) and, almost 4 months later after admitting they charged me the wrong amount, i am still waiting for the refund check. I keep calling and they keep saying the check has been sent, which i find hard to believe. read more

Mohs treatment with Dr Lawrence Goldberg . Facility is properly maintained and staff seem well trained and experienced. Dr. Was very professional and managed a stressful situation with clear explanation and skill. The fact that he had four other doctors in training following him around indicated I was in the right place. The surgery is done am just hoping the problem is cured. It is to early to tell if the treatment is successful and the insurance side is closed. I. Suggest to get referral review and biopsy at regular clinic before using up this special doctors time. read more

I had an appointment booked with Dr. White, and had to wait over an hour to be seen. The office was not busy at the time, yet they had me waiting in both the waiting room and patient room. I do not feel my consultation was worth $100 seeing that I had spent half my time waiting, and had to return to work by the time she came into see me. Dr. White was thorough about the treatment and answered questions, but I do not feel she made a proper doctor- patient relationship. Definitely not worth my time nor the $100 consultation. read more

Made a visit to Dr. White's office on January 24th for a nail disorder. She took some clippings and sent them for testing. A few days later I received a call from Jessica explaining the results and was notified that they would be calling in a prescription for the condition and it should be at my pharmacy in a few days. 3 months later, I have yet to receive it. 3 months. I have called multiple times and have left multiple messages to no avail. I spoke with Sylvia last week, finally, someone got back to me. Sylvia was understanding and let me know that someone messed up on the records and she couldn't find anything in my record, which Is interesting because I have a paid $350 bill in my records and they made sure that I paid before I left the establishment. Money comes first I guess. Sylvia said she would send an email to Dr. White as well as Rosemary, another nurse, and I would receive a call back on April 21st, which is today. I received no call so I decided to call myself. I asked to speak with Rosemary and got sent to a voicemail. I called back and spoke with Shanay, sorry if I misspelled your name, and she said no one was actually in the office. There seems to be a huge lapse in communication here. She took my info down and I went on with the same story I've been telling over the last 3 months and was met with a "I'll leave a message and send an email" response, which I've also been getting over the last 3 months. The medication is a 12 week medicine and I should have already been off of it at this point. I cannot imagine if this was a life saving type of medication. I would be screwed. This is very unprofessional and I am deeply disappointed in the way this has been handled, or not handled for that matter. I understand they closed the actual office 19 days ago but this has been ongoing since January. It shouldn't have to come down to me leaving a negative review in the hopes that I can get this simple medication and some actual answers. I trusted my primary care physician when they made the recommendation for this place and I have also let them know the same. It's a shame, it's upsetting, and I am deeply disappointed. read more

I had a terrible experience with a very disorganized chain of offices. I confirmed an appointment for the Beechnut location, but when I got to the building, the office number listed was not the correct one. After walking around for 15 minutes, I called. The receptionist was rude and condescending, she told me that each doctor has different offices. When she finally understood I was in the right building, she told me the correct office number. I emailed all of my insurance documents and copy of my ID beforehand, yet they still hadn't confirmed by the time I got there what my copay would be. I left with a charge of about $150. When I called for a followup appointment, I was told that the number listed on Google for the Beechnut location was the wrong doctor. They gave me the correct number. When I called the correct number, I was put on hold for ten minutes before being told that my doctor no longer comes to the Beechnut location and that I'd have to travel to Sugarland to see him. No thank you. There are so many other options here in Houston, why would I waste my time? read more

If there is a negative review,I would put that for Dr.Brundha Balraman. I got a scar on my back, 3 years back. She started injecting steroids. One day she put the dose sooo high the surrounding part of the scar got discolored [Pale white] , in the immediate next visit I told her my concern.She was shocked and lied to my face that ,It might have happened due to some rash.It will go away within 2 weeks.Just think once ,the re reason she gave for discoloration of skin .After 1 month again I went for next visit ,and this time she agreed she gave some extra dose of steroid which caused it.I even had to pay for the extra dose.Why she had to lie? After that I immediately stopped going to her.Its been 3 years,the discoloration has not been faded.The scar did not reduce even 1mm during the treatment.And I ended up paying so much of money to her.Now my question is who would pay me back for the harm has been done? or the money I wasted to get this skin condition. I contacted them but I am really paranoid of facing Dr. Brundha Balaraman. "Call 911 if emergency, urgent matter stay on the line, press 2 for routine office matter." I need an appointment is it urgent? Yes, it is urgent for me but may be routine for Dr. Goldberg. Which should I press? I chose "routine" since there is not an option for "make an appointment." Oh, now I have to leave a message. Maybe I should have chose urgent. I have 4 college degrees, 1 of which is a Master's Degree. Why should I have to press anything, I want to speak to a live person. It shouldn't be this complicated. Dr. Goldberg prefers investing money in an automated system than in a live person to answer his phone. Messages left have not been returned in 24 hours. I decided not to schedule an appointment with a physician that has staff who does not return calls, whose office uses automation rather than personal contact and who has so many offices it's hard to figure out where he is. I'm pressing "off" and hanging up. read more

I visited the Main Location a few days ago. My review is based on the facility's handling of Covid-19 safeguards. When I arrived at the building, there was noone at the lobby to ensure visitors are all wearing masks. At the DermSurgery waiting room, there was again noone reminding people, and the staff did not show any concern regarding how many patients were allowed in the waiting area at once. Even though I arrived on time, I had to wait close to 1 hour in a small waiting room with numerous other patients. This is not the only doctor's office I have been to under these unique circumstances, but it is the only one where noone takes temperatures upon entry, asks questions about your history or offers hand sanitizers. The forms they asked me fill were length and could have been filled ahead of time online. My experience with the doctor was just fine. But everything else made me very uncomfortable. I hope they improve their safety practices in the days ahead. read more

The office staff is very unprofessional. I would definitely not recommend and not trust anything they say to you in the office. I had a procedure done and confirmed with the lady at the front desk multiple times that the total cost she was giving me would be the total. She insisted this was going to be the total. They went again and did the procedure. Later that month I got a statement saying I owed $111 in addition to the $200 I had already paid. I called the office and they told me it was a mistake and to disregard it. 6 Months later I just got a letter from the Collections Department asking for this bill. I called in and they proceed to tell me that they can never tell me a total right away (even though their own staff member did so) and that I owed the money. I explained to them multiple times how I even called in and they told me to disregard and how unprofessional it is to then send the bill to a collections agency. They refused to listen to me and wanted their money. I would never recommend this office unless you have amazing insurance and a very low deductible because they will take everything they can get from you read more

I was extremely disappointed with the cosmetic appearance of my excision, compared to other dermatologist I've been to the work is subpar--the procedure was rushed and when I expressed disappointment Dr. Asadi was dismissive. Other dermatologist have grimaced at the sight of the scar left by Dr. Asadi's work. I highly recommend going elsewhere. read more
