On some evenings however you will get the opportunity to groove on the dancefloor. The sound system is alright and the music really depends on the event. I was here during "Which way to the stars" and the Djs have been legit. Staff as also been extremely friendly. One thing I didn't like were the people that come along with the location. Since Crack Bellmer is on the RAW area you will have the regular drunk tourists trying to have some night out experience as in the "Hangover" movie. It was annoying but I managed to enjoy the night with my friends.

The bartender wasn't particularly welcoming, when I asked if I could sit at the bar, he pushed the reservation sign at the seat I was pointing at towards me from what I remember... point taken that yes there was a reservation sign but I just wanted to check since I wasn't sure... perhaps I was perceived as rude since I asked in English, or coz I wasn't local and didn't know, or may be that's in keeping with the vibe of the bar, no idea. Obviously can't comment on the drinks, but yep, there was no effort made to accommodate me, though I also didn't ask. Oh well, too bad.

The…read moreatmosphere is good, even though seating is somewhat limited (not by the number of tables but by how popular it is) and I like that there is a separate smoking room. The beers are always very solid, tasty brews; not the most unique styles but they satisfy my craft beer cravings. The menu also includes some small food plates (I haven't tried them yet) and some liquor and non-alcoholic drinks. If you like whiskey, they have a few good options for pretty cheap prices. I think I had a double of Glen 12 for €4? A definite must if you're a beer lover in Friedrichshain!

Prices are OK, the drinks selection is not massive, but clever and a bit off the beaten path. Fret not, though, you can still get all the standard cocktails - and they even mix exotic drinks on request. And the quality of the drinks is perfect. Really perfect. Service is impeccable - friendly, helpful and attentive. And it seemed all (or most of) the smokers stood outside. (On a rather cold night, mind you.) Probably not to ruin the taste of the fantastic drinks for the other guests. Highly appreciated. Go there, drink there - you won't regret it.
