I wanted to meet a friend for brunch on a Sunday morning, so we decided simply to meet at the halfway point and look for a café or bakery. So, Potsdamerplatz it was and into Der Bäcker Feihl we went.
This was really more of a grab and go bakery. There was some seating, but the atmosphere wasn't particularly cozy, the servers weren't particularly friendly, and the chairs were not built for long conversations.
I got an egg-liquor cake (1.95 euros), which was not quite to my taste, but still quite decent. I tried a bit of my friend's apple quark cake, and that was really quite good. It tasted like cheesecake with apple mixed in.
So a four star for the food, two for the atmosphere, which makes an average of three stars. read more
