The staff was attentive and food came out quickly considering the quality. The bathrooms were clean and if you have a kid you can get crayons/paper for them. The food here was amazing. The duck spread with jam was one of the coolest appetizers I had during my time in CR. The ribs were cooked to perfection. Honestly everything I tasted was super high quality and fairly priced. We sat in the smaller room on the right, which also has a heating stove for the cooler days. And huge, spacious terrace in the summer, which we didn't get to utilize as it wasn't that warm when we were there. The wait staff was fast, easy going and attentive to our needs. The walls arch quite a bit, as my husband found out, when he bumped his head. That shows to pay more attention in historical buildings, such as this one. They have good variety of traditional Czech dishes. The menu is both in Czech and English. We ordered: Home-made liver pate with onion marmalade and bread. It was so good, we basically "woofed it down" and ordered another one. Home-made cabbage soup - thick, hot and delicious. Definitely hit the spot. Beef goulash with dumplings - the quality of meat was first class. Classic dish that you can't go wrong with. Roast pork with cabbage and dumplings - the most traditional dish you can possibly order in Czechia. It was divine. Mulled wine - which was my most favorite part of the dinner :) Highly recommend trying this place out when visiting Cesky Krumlov, you won't regret it.

The visually beautiful and delicious selection of pastries greets the visitor when you walk in from the Central Square. We were attended to efficiently and in a very friendly way by the staff. We walked to the front case after sitting down and we're guided to select a wonderful pastry with light cream and satisfying dough. The cappuccino was excellent with delicious coffee and a wonderful foam. My wife enjoyed her oat milk latte. The location in the central square is just a great place to watch the world go by. There are a few residents of the town; and lots of tourists! If you go to this small tourist village, this is a wonderful cafe to complete the experience.

I will usually avoid hotel restaurants in lieu of stand-alone restaurants elsewhere but in this case I'm glad I didn't as that would have been a big mistake. In 8 days this was the best food I had in all of Czechia: Prague, Kutna Hora, Budweis, and Cesky Krumlov. Here's an idea of prices as-of May,: Appetizers/Soup/Salad: 80 Crowns, Entrees: 250 Crowns, Dessert: 80 Crowns, Drinks: 70 Crowns. All in all, with drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert, a couple would expect to pay circa 1,000 Crowns, perhaps a bit more with service added in. The service was excellent as well with my server working 3 different tables in 3 different languages, fluently. Overall, it was a great experience and I'm very happy I had it. If you go, I recommend the beef cheek entree.
