When the installers arrived, they said they could not do it due to liability issues, so I had to move my queen size mattress and box spring up a flight of stairs by myself, which was not fun! The installers informed me that it wasn't the first time they were given misinformation from a salesperson about this issue. Also before the bed arrived, I received an email from Mattress Firm that indicated they would roll out the red carpet and the installers would wear booties over their shoes. The installers rolled out a small red carpet outside their truck, twenty feet from my house, which didn't make any sense. Wouldn't you want to put the red carpet inside the person's house to protect their floors? Also, the installers didn't wear booties as the emailed promised. So, needless to say, I'm not impressed with this company keeping their word.

See, David the District Manager and David the Store Manager assisted us with a much needed mattress. We had purchased one from a competitor here in San Angelo and without going into great detail - let's just say NIGHTMARE situation at that other company. So while still reeling and frankly in tears we drove across the street to Mattress Firm in San Angelo - thank God we did! See, we had been sleeping on our sofa and recliner because we didn't have a "mattress" and sleeping like this while going through treatments! We did this for over 2 months. So, when we arrived at Mattress Firm and met with David and David they were fantastic. They truly understood the pain, need and how distressed we were. They made specific arrangements and in less than a week we had our new mattress delivered. Then with a nightmare web-problem with the payment they actually made the right choices and went above and beyond to solve the problems which were out of our control and out of their control! They were so caring, compassionate and willing to help us get a mattress. David, the District Manager and David the Store Manager moved mountains to get us a bed so we could finally sleep at night - God Bless them...we do/will always recommend people in San Angelo, Tx to go to Mattress Firm store to buy because they say what they will do AND do what they say! His attitude was completely different between how he treated me vs my wife. The first bit of furniture we bought my wife dealt with someone else and had a pleasant experience. We went to buy a full bed with mattress, dresser, night stand. He went through a whole story on how he doesn't carry full and tried convincing us we should get a queen. I told him I found one on his website that we wanted. He looked and said they didn't carry a full. I had to point out they did but in the grey frame. He then tried talking me out of it saying he would have to mark it up 20% to compensate for shipping. He did the same thing when we wanted a mattress from online. He tried getting us to buy a $600 in store mattress vs the $194 mattress with his 20% mark up. When we picked a nightstand he pointed out the other matched the dresser we were buying. I said we wanted that one because it offered usb ports. He lied and said that one did also. We didn't look just took him for his word. He pointed out we would need a wood base for our mattress and said he would add it. He never did. We did not notice this until we got our delivery 8 weeks later. We made the mistake of not making him itemized his invoice so we were not sure if we were charged or not. When called he said he would let us have it for $100 it would be 108 for tax. We called again on Monday at 4:45pm to confirm the price and that he had one available. He argued the price and insisted he never said that. He finally conceded and said come pick it up we are open until 6. We arrived at 5:10pm to find he had closed his store. It wasn't worth the hassle to make him honor his word. I was very apparent he was going to do anything possible to avoid it. So we bought a base from another store at $103 with free shipping. We were wanting to refurnish our whole house. We decided to take our business somewhere else.

They have great furniture for what may seem to be way higher price than the big chain stores but the quality is better. We got a couch and love seat combo. Beautiful and comfortable. The sales woman was super sweet and knew her sales and if she didn't she made sure she found out. The only down side was like I said earlier is right in the store. Hard to test out the recliners. Will go back in the future.

We were only able to get a delivery date a week and a half out, but he promised to call if an earlier one opened up.
