I really like this neighborhood liquor store which I can get to on foot from my house. This is no mega store alright and yet they do carry decent selection when it comes to wine and other alcohol. And most of all, the customer service is really good! I went there today (Jan 8, 2021) to get a cheap and yet quality red wine. While I was standing in front of a Mexican wine one of the workers who was assisting a different customer came by to show him some wine located nearby and quickly talked to me saying, "That's a really good Petite Syrah from Mexico!" When I was in a different section of wine 5 minutes later the same worker walked by and checked up on me again! Since I had never had a wine from Mexico (Baja California to be exact), I took the worker's suggestion by picking up the Mexican Petite Syrah as it was only $10. The checker at the register was also very pleasant/nice/courteous as he carried a friendly conversation with me. He was also very patient with me when I was clumsy with the credit card machine (ha ha!) There is always that one store that you like that's located very close to your house; for me this is definitely the one. I continue to support them as long as I continue to live in the neighboring. Thanks Denver Liquor Galaxy!! read more

Denver Liquor Galaxy - L. A. Cetto, Petite Syrah from Baja California - Pretty impressive!! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Outstanding! I mean literally they have a selection of tequila that truly stands out, including bottles I have not found anywhere else. Amazing customer service and great prices too. I've been looking for a reliable local bottle shop (don't love the chains). This is the place. I'll be back! read more

Denver Liquor Galaxy - Went tequila shopping... got some gin too! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Denver, Colorado

This liquor store is a galaxy of spirits, beer, wine, you name it and has the best staff around! I live in the Hampden Heights area and this store is only 2 miles from the house and is always stocked with anything you need. It's conveniently located off of Hamden & Yosemite with plenty of parking and several registers with a full staff so you rarely need to wait longer than a minute or two. The best part of shopping here is the rewards program they implemented about a year ago. You get 1 point for every dollar you spend and $100 = $5 off. I've also shopped at Total Wine many times and part of their rewards program but since becoming a rewards member with them over 5 years ago I have yet to get a discount. The pricing is cheaper than any stores in the areas and they also offer delivery! I was also pleasantly surprised to receive a direct mail piece a couple of weeks ago for 10% off my next purchase. Great job knowing who your target customers are! Also for figuring out how to keep those of us who like to escape to a far away galaxy with a few cocktails coming back for more! Wishing this store continued success and appreciate all of the staff read more

Had an amazing experience looking for a bourbon for a friends birthday. I asked for help and the team hooked me up with a great hard to find bourbon. My friend said he had been looking for this bourbon all over colorado and couldn't find it in the 7 years being here. Awesome team and store read more

Being known as the "party animal" means knowing and having a good selection of beer, wine and liquor at any party/bbq. To do that, one must travel to the galaxy. DENVER LIQUOR GALAXY. From the moment my boyfriend and I set foot into this massive liquor warehouse, we were impressed by the following things: 1. The massive selection. HOLY LIQUOR. Everything you could ever want is here. 2. Staff is helpful. 100%. When we couldn't find a particular liquor for a friends party, a team member jumped right up and grabbed it for us. awesome :) 3. Prices are much better than the surrounding liquor stores. i'm always one for a good deal. 4. Location is decent and super close to me! read more

Decent selection but I can't abide by the "you break it you pay for it" signs everywhere 1- such signs are bull****. They would have to sue you and if they did no court is going to buy the unilateral contract 2- as long as you aren't negligent (I.e being really careless) a store isn't going to Get you to buy crap. 3- no court would make you pay MSRP at most you would owe the replacement cost from their supplier I don't know when they put up the signs but I didn't see them last time. If you find you have broken something there make sure you don't buy on the spot. Tell them to go ahead and sue you Or better yet, to to a friendlier place read more

There is a guy who works here who is SO entertaining. Unfortunately, I have to be in the mood to exchange witty banter but it doesn't mean I can't appreciate it otherwise. Aside from that, well, it's a liquor store. Decent-sized so pretty good selection if you're asking the opinion of a novice in the alcohol department which I am. read more

We come here all the time and all the staff and manager knows us but today we came during a blizzard. Drove in the winter storm and the guy at the cashier(Erick) was extremely rude. Never have i ever experienced this at this liquor store. Everyone is friendly and helpful bit this Eric guy who looked like high schooler treated us like second class citizens. We come here all the time because it's close to our house and like coming here because of the different variety of alcohol. Everyone is nice and even recommends us new things to try. I will never set foot in this store after today's incident. Extremely rude service from Eric i don't know if he was angry he had to work during a storm but i also work in the service industry and never have i ever encountered someone like this. read more

Excellent selection and service while maintaining a very expansive selection of wines and liquors.

I am not a drinker but I have went in to this store many of times picking up different items. This is hands down the friendliest liquor store around. They have went above and beyond helping me out several times -- always different employees. One several different times recommended craft beers, helped me pick out a super cute cherry moonshine for a going away gift, explained difference in whiskeys, and assisted me with wine selections. They have a great selection in beer, wine, and liquor -- and amazing customer service. Can you ask for more? I think not :) read more

Denver Liquor Galaxy - Seriously the most helpful and friendly staff in any liquor store I've been in. Always beyond helpful & patient for a liquor novice like me. - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Denver, Colorado

While Denver Liquor Galaxy doesn't carry the largest selection of higher-end wines, they make up for it in the liquor and spirits category. I was recently exposed to some great quality gin imported from the UK, and have found that Denver Liquor Galaxy is one of the only places in the state to carry it . Denver Liquor Galaxy also carries an expansive selection of vodka and tequila, as well as several fancy-looking liqueurs I have never heard of . Their scotch selection isn't as vast as it could be, but I was able to pick up a good bottle of Oban the last time I was in at a decent price. I am impressed with some of the hard-to-find items they carry in the store; and how they are able to keep it in stocked! read more

Love this place - huge selection, helpful staff, reasonable prices, and it's right up the street from my house. Oh and the King Soopers on Hampden has 10% off coupons on the back of their receipts! i asked if they could get a certain English beer that I had while in England (Hobgoblin), and before long BAM - there it was. No reason to go anywhere else. read more

Thanks to my kind friends at Whole Foods, they recommend the Denver Liquor Galaxy just down the road. The store is clean, well-organized, and well-stocked. They have specials that even trumped the specials at a closer store to me. The best part is the staff. The gentleman behind the counter found a box for my purchases. And another kind gentleman carried the box to my car, and opened my car door for me. These kind gestures make all the difference to me! read more

Great, fresh selection. Would go here all the time... The new owner is great with getting you what you want. The day staff is great, night staff seems young and very rude. That being said, the beer and liquor is well priced, comparable to other nearby stores... Great selection. The wine is way overpriced. I don't mind a mark up, but dang.... Please, for that price give me a table, a few glasses and uncork it for me. I won't return simply because the young kid told me they don't need my business. Okay! I'll take my money elsewhere! read more

A big selection but not as expansive as you might expect for the business of offering beers in a craft brewing state. Too much dedicated to corporate beer. That said, I think there is enough variety to find something that like to drink. Huge selection of wines and spirits. I have been treated well whenever I come in and the staff that I have dealt with in the aisles seem both polite and helpful. Service is good and efficient. Close to my home so I do come in when in a hurry but I prefer another liquor store for the fact that I earn rewards. And as liquor Galaxy is raking it in based on the pricing, I will not be choosing this store regularly as they are higher priced than others offering similar selection and quality of service. read more

DLG has a tremendous selection with several unique brands. The customer service is terrific. The store is laid out really nicely and things are easy to find. I love how clean this place is. Why are so many liquor stores so filthy and decrepit? DLG is a welcome relief in that regard. The only negative is that DLG is honestly $4 - $10 more expensive than several other comparable sized liquor stores. I was honestly shocked by the price of some items when I literally saw it for $10+ less in another liquor store earlier the same afternoon. The place is huge and its near cherry hills and greenwood village, bu The store is really great in terms of appearance, layout, and selection. If I need to find something particular DLG is definitely my first stop. If I need to stock up... read more

Alex= Best Manager in the State. Best liquor store in Denver. He is never out of anything and will order booze on the spot.

Best liquor store in the area. Huge selection, best wine selection in the area. So happy tgey put it here

Strange location but has always been safe during my visits. This place has a great selection. Not the craziest of beer selections but it's good. The wine and liquor selections are awesome. They have just about every bottle as a shooter too. Phenomenal selection of shooters. The wine guy knows his stuff too, will talk your ear off if your not careful. Great staff, always very nice. I've seen a few sampling's here as well, makes buying liquor more enjoyable read more

The folks at Denver Liquor Galaxy are super nice and helpful. They have a huge selection of wine and beer and seem to be priced very competitively. Thats the last time I go here. The owner is a prick and I've been warned before about this but this is the second time he ran my card before I could pull out the 10 percent off coupon and chimed in, "oh soorrryyy, I already ran the card, bummer, well keep the coupon and save it for next time." There won't a next time. Plus they didn't have anything I was looking for, and they normally stock. This place was normally on top of it too. Sucks. read more

Having an amazing selection of liquor, wine, and beer is great (which they do), but they real reason for this rating is the customer service. It's a great feeling when you walk in and see the entire staff smiling and laughing and then are so quick to greet you and ask if you need help. The gentleman who assisted me (bald with a goatee, good sense of humor, and strong vocabulary) was very nice and knew exactly where my items are. I'm sure the rest of the staff is just as pleasant. I will drive out of my way to do my business with Denver Liquor Galaxy. read more

I have lived in this area quite a while and have noticed since the opening of Denver Liquor Galaxy, the quality of the shoppette has gone waaay down. Outside: The parking lot in front of the liquor store and throughout the lot (even the back and side of the shoppette) is strewn with empty and/or broken liquor bottles. Not to mention the cigarette butts and other sidewalk scum (gum, spit, etc,,,) in front of the door. Certain times of the day, there are what appears to be 'regulars' hanging around the door. I have witnessed a customer (I guess in his haste to get in the store) hit another car or the concrete blocks as he was trying to pull into a slot in front of the door. When he got out of the car, 'Pops' looked like he had had a few (I wondered later if they sold him liquor). Inside: I have been in this store 3 times. I was last in over a year ago (this was the last time). I asked specific questions about an ingredient in a product. I was assured the ingredient I was questioning was not in the product. WRONG. This misinformation lead to a migraine headache. Not too worry, once I bought the information I was given to the manufacturer, they issued a sincere apology and refund. On one occasion a young man working the cash register thought he would make a joke about my change due. I found this to be very unprofessional. Overall: Inside changes may have been made -management, 'grown-up' cashiers (I will never know). I do know when I choose to build the shoppette into my daily walk, I am disgusted by the filth on the parking lot. read more

Very friendly staff and helpful. A lot of things I have never seen or heard of lol. Did I say how nice and friendly they are? Lol

My fiance and I went in here for the first time today. And he was very much impressed with the selection of various liquors and wine. He wanted to try the Wicked Hard and so we decided to give this place a try. He found it, plus his other most favorite vodka Hangar 1 as well as 360 Vodka. He was very very impressed. He would give it 4 stars for not having a make your own 6 pack, but hey they are working on it. So it stays at 5 stars :). Even though I don't drink, I can see myself coming here if we have a party and need something or if we need a refill of the mini fridge, which honestly is a very very rare occurrence fyi. The sales people are very friendly and willing to talk with you and inform you of discounts located on the back of both King Soopers and Safeway receipts. Highly recommended. read more
