Saurabh Mangalik is an excellent doctor. Good listener, fantastic diagnostician. Caring. My messages to the portal are answered promptly, getting appointments is simple, and the referrals are great. He is referring to the fact that Dr. Mellman LEFT THE PRACTICE to start a concierge practice. But Denver Internal Medicine Associates remains as it always has a regular practice. I had been going here for 20 plus years and can't believe the "care" quality has gotten this atrocious. The office staff are rude and can't problem solve. I asked for a referral from office via the message function, they told me i needed an appointment for a test and referral which I then booked. I was then called day before and informed my "care team" wont see me as I need to see my PCP for a referral, whom isn't available for two plus weeks. I asked for my options and was given none. The utter definition of incompetent and no accountability nor care for your patients and simply rush you out without putting a thought into anything If you are part of the office you are part of the care team. Twice, I have arrived at DIM for a scheduled appointment that they do not have on record. I show them the confirmation texts and confirmation emails, and that does not seem to matter. The staff, generally speaking, is rude at best and incompetent at worst. If you are switching from their practice to another, they will make it as difficult as possible: your medical records will not be sent unless you fill out an additional form and **deliver it to them in person, via mail, or via fax.** You cannot email them this form, still, in the year 2024. They constantly switched my primary healthcare provider and made me sit through several "new patient" meetings as a result of their own internal mismanagement -- I was not a "new patient" at any time, but I sat through several "new patient" appointments over the course of 3 years because they can't keep a doctor on staff for longer than a few months at a time. Finally, the woman Donna at the office is extremely condescending and rude no matter what you ask or are calling about. It could be as simple as "I'd like to schedule an appointment" and she immediately adopts a deeply condescending tone, like she is talking to a child. My most recent phone call with Donna just ended with me asking "Okay, when will my records be sent to my new provider?" and she said "It usually takes 30 days." Stunned, I confirmed, "It'll take 30 days to fax my medical records to my new doctor?" and Donna said "I did not say that. You don't listen. I said it NORMALLY takes 30 days. Are you hearing me? Can you hear? Do you understand?" I said "Don't condescend to me" and she said "FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU" and hung up the phone. read more

Denver Internal Medicine has gone under the knife. Seriously. In an effort to remake itself into a boutique medical PCP office they've undergone a drastic-plastic makeover. You can now only be granted an audience with their providers if you decide to pony up a boatload of cash each year to obtain a personalized/individualized health provider contract for private services. I loved my doctor there (Dr. Mellman) but he's priced himself out of my budget, so now I'm having to go out and find a new PCP, and I think I've found the one. But stay tuned . . . This office is so woefully mismanaged and it's driving away the good providers. I started as a new patient with an NP in December, she quit a week later. I followed up for an issue with a PA in March, she quit a week later. I needed labs for an ongoing condition and they ordered the wrong labs for me, so I had to get 2 separate blood draws. I had a medical issue in May and was bullied into doing telehealth just for an extremely rude doctor (Dr. Mangalik) to spend less than 5 minutes with me and tell me to "keep doing what I'm doing". Don't worry, he still billed me for this priceless advice. Now I'm being told I need to establish care with someone else, can you not just read my chart? I will not be going back. read more

Dr. Aaron turned out to be horrible doctor. You know how there's a commercial on TV now about telling your doctor everything, body and mind. Don't tell her too much. The last time I did that, the next thing I know, the police and paramedics are at my door and hauled me off to Denver Health hospital, put me in restraints, physically abused me, pumped me with Haldol. Additionaly, I'm on Eliquis for two blood clots on my lungs. I'm now out of Eliquis, cannot afford it anymore, and if I take another fall on my head, I will most likely die. She has totally cut me off as a patient. I attribute most of this to her immaturity and over-zealousness, and immaturity. If I die from this bloodclot because I cannot afford the Eliquis, I hope the blood is on your hands, Dr. Aaron and you carry that around for the rest of your life. Thanks alot Dr. Aaron, for nothing. I have had nothing but the absolute best service from my doctor at this practice, Connie Desarden. She and/or her team always respond promptly to messages I send and her bedside manner is so patient and kind. She is very knowledgeable and I feel 100% comfortable with her care. She remembers me each time I am in and I truly never feel rushed when I am talking with her. I can't say enough great things about her practice and the care I'm receiving. I have been a patient and Dr. Saurabh Mangalik for years and believe him to be an excellent doctor, but I will no longer be using his services. This morning I had an appointment with a physician assistant Tracy Chavez of his office. I was 10 minutes late for my appointment and they refused to see me. The reason they gave was it would not be fair to the patient they were scheduled to see 20 minutes later. While I would never ask to go beyond my allotted 30 minute time slot, to refuse to see me because of an appointment scheduled 20 minutes later, in my opinion, was unreasonable. I have been kept waiting longer than 10 minutes on countless trips to the doctor's office and somehow when the reason for the delay is on them, they manage to see me and still be on time for the next patient. I take full responsibility for being late and some of you may applaud them for refusing to see me, but I will put my future medical care in the hands of a practice that demonstrates a bit more compassion. read more

This place is horrible & shady! I had tried to make an appointment with Cari Dawson, MD but she was booked out and I had an urgent need so I saw Tracey Chavez, PA. Gave the receptionist all my info over the phone. When I came to check in... I stood there awkwardly waiting to be addressed by the woman at the front desk who wasn't on the phone, not helping someone else... just acting clueless. She seemed completely lost with why I was even there (even though I had an appointment!). When she finally dug up my paperwork... my name was spelled wrong... my phone number was COMPLETELY wrong... not even one number right and my address was severely misspelled. If they are this bad at simple data entry... what's going on with my insurance claims and payment entries? As for the providers... everyone is very rude there. Tracey never really acted like she was happy to be there. I saw her many times for a condition I had and she kept pointing me at over the counter meds even though they weren't working... it went on like this for months. I finally was able to see Dr. Dawson and she's even worse! This woman had horrible bedside manners. As I was speaking to her... she NEVER SMILED ONCE. Was always acting like she had somewhere else to be. Then when I would try to explain symptoms or problems I had she would INTERRUPT me mid-sentence to try to finish speaking for me to hurry me up. Not only that... one time she corrected me on my description of MY symptoms and had the audacity to get impatient and roll her eyes. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!?! Anyways... that was the last straw. I ended up asking for a referral and was immediately cured because these people simply didn't want to give me the time of day. read more

As far as a primary care doctor goes, this place is probably going to be the worst place to pick your doctor. I was recommended Dr. Dawson from a friend I worked with. It took me two months to have an appointment with her. When I went to my appointment I found the doctors office to be in a shady part of town and parking was extremely difficult. I showed up on time and was late because of the parking situation. I ran up and down flights of stairs to get to the office and when I finally got to the right office I sat in the waiting room for over a half hour. I was planning on going back to work but I had to call the rest of the day off because of how long they kept me waiting. After running around every where and my heart rate of course was high. When Dr. Dawson finally saw me she freaked me out saying I had problems with my heart which doesn't even make sense. She suckered me into having all these tests done that I didn't need which proved in the end that I was healthy any way. I was mailed a bill stating that I owed the over $200 for my first appointment and she denied me the prescription I was prescribed to for over 4 years of my life until I had further testing done. It really felt like a scam to take more and more of my money. If you go to this doctor, pay attention to what is going on. Don't let her scam you! read more

I am 54 years old and a Denver native. I was fortunate enough to have some of the best Drs in all fields starting at the age of 16. Once you find a really good doctor in any field, they refer you to colleagues that are also really good. I am a true believer in Rose Medical Center! I drive from Boulder to see my Drs and be seen at Rose because I think it's that much better. Anyway,y PCP (who I have seen for 30 years) was aging and moved farther south so I decided to look for a new. Did lots of research and found Dr Emily Aaron. She is absolutely the best Dr I have seen in years! She's amazingly thorough, patient and very thoughtful in her treatment. She's one of those people that has an instinct for what she does. Visited Dr Emily Aaron a while back. She was really great! I just had my annual visit, but I was able to ask other questions. Insurance later billed me for my questions as a "second" visit, but that's our healthcare these days...However, the great thing to me is their portal site. I later had to ask Dr. Aaron some questions, I did so via their portal system. She not only answered them, but already sent a prescription to my Walgreens! It was really wonderful to not have to go in and see her, although she is really nice. I had a great experience and Dr. Aaron is very good! They are my family doctor now. read more

I've been going to DIM for over 10 years. My experience started off well enough with Cara Dawson. She was a no-nonsense type, but seemed very intelligent and good at her job, medicine. She left and then I was assigned a younger woman, a PA I think. She was good for me as I didn't have any major ongoing issues. Then she left and I was given Dana Isaacson. UGH. My DIM experience took a major decline when started seeing Dana. Let me tell you some of the things Dana did & said to me, her patient: -Left out first annual exam without completing a pap, which I made clear both to scheduling and her during appt that was the main reason I came in. -Changed my birth control prescription without telling me/I didn't ask for a change. -Didn't know what Hemochromatosis is even after I reminded her I have it, and tried to recommend something that would directly interact with the condition -Repeatedly stated "oh I didn't know that about you, I don't have your records" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? As a patient who's attended the same practice for 10 years I have to worry my Dr doesn't have access to my records?! Was that true or was she just lazy? Either way a patient shouldnt need to ask the new Dr she is assigned is doing her homework. -On second year appt together I basically have to demand a pap. She fumbles for about 10 mins and then takes off her gloves and gives up. She said "if I can't do it, no one on this office can. I do more paps than any other Dr here." I beg to differ as I've never had a Dr struggle to complete them in the past. I'm not exaggerating, I had to BEG her to try again. She was very irritated with me but finally completed it. I think?? -Walked into one of our appts visibly irritated talking about how she didn't have time for our visit because it "was scheduled wrong". I had followed the prompts from an email appointment reminder DIM sent me. Again, not my fault but a system error. No hello, hi just "I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOU". -She reaaalllly pushed the anti depressants hard even after I was clear I wasn't interested in the chemical path. I shared these concerns with MGMT and they basically shrugged their shoulders and said "she's leaving soon". I have such a bad taste in my mouth I haven't been back in over a year. - read more

Absolutely the worst medical practice I've seen! They don't care about their patients and act as if they are doing a favor for you. I had seen Dr. Dawson once because she was always to busy to see urgent issues. I was directed by her nurse to go to Urgent Care because they don't have time. Please note there was no miscommunication on my part. Dr. Aaron called me two days after my blood sample was taken and told me she needed to talk to me about something serious they had found. I immediately started shaking and pulled off the road and turned my car off. She told me they had looked at my blood under a slide and had determined I had Chronic Myloid Leukemia. How in the world could that have been a miscommunication on my part as I had never even heard of that kind of cancer before?! She told me that people can go 5, 10, 15 years with this kind of cancer, she told me the drugs and possible combination of drugs and their side effects I would be on for the rest of my life to try and stop the cancer from progressing, she told me it was caused by a "Philadelphia Gene" and although it would take two to three weeks to get into Dr. Feiner not to worry as he was a wonderful oncologist and they would be calling me. I was sobbing as I hung up the phone and called Dr. Feiner's office immediately and his wonderful assistant Ruth got me in the next day. Ruth confirmed my file had come to them with the diagnosis of Chronic Myloid Leukemia. As I have been told by other Doctors since this horrible experience NO DOCTOR should even mention the word cancer unless they are 100% sure. Dr. Aaron should have said there was a question about my blood and she was sending me to Dr. Feiner, who is one of the best in hematology. The fact that she even brought up Chronic Myloid Leukemia and discussed it with me is not a miscommunication on any part of mine. It was unprofessional and caused so much unnecessary anxiety for me and my family I hope people stay away from this practice so no other person has to go through what I did. If the business owner is truly sorry about all I have been through I will be happy to send her my bills from Rocky Mountain Cancer Center. read more

Terrible since Mellman left. Was assigned a nurse practitioner for my annual check up. Felt great. BP was 120/80. Since the NP found out I was running a startup (and I requested Ambien for jet lag due all the international travel I do) she diagnosed me and invoiced me for anxiety. Now I have a pre-existing condition from this overzealous ignoramus. Office staff and all of Health One/Rose Medical staff up to Chief Medical Officer were completely apathetic and unhelpful, even after I offered to see a psych specialist to prove them wrong. read more

In my hunt for a new PCP, I was pleased to find a place that could get me in quickly (appoint. options within the week) and accepted TRICARE. I'm reading previous reviews for the first time now, after my visit, and I'm surprised to see how dissatisfied others were. All I can speak on is my own very pleasant experience. After my visit with Dr. Aaron, I was so relieved to feel like someone actually listened to my concerns and took me seriously. The entire staff was friendly, and in private conversations with the nurse and assistant helping pre/post seeing the doctor, they both stated how much they enjoyed working at Denver Internal Medicine. To me, respect and camaraderie amoung staff always says something about the business. read more

Stanley J Kerstein seemed to be very impersonal upon entering the room. He wasnt too interested ( or maybe CU buying them out and pressuring Drs to take less than 10 min per pateint?) He pressured me to vaccinate despite the fact I told him I was allergic to eggs and our family has had severe Permenant damage from vaccines AND that I DO NOT VACCINATE. He STILL then pressured me to do other vaccines!! My spouse and I realized he wasn't someone who would LISTEN to his patients in any situation so we left never to return. Now it was reported in a lawsuit against HHS who couldnt produce ANY double blind safety studies over 50 years: Its never been safety tested using double blind studies. Glad Im my own advocate and sad that Drs dont even know these facts to protect and advocate for their pateints . RFK Jr sued Monsanto and won last year. He won the HHS lawsuit., HHS oversees CDC abd FDA, and has been directly responsible for vaccine safety testing which they never did. I have been a patient of DIM for 4+ years and every annual visit is more efficient and pleasant than the last. The wait time this week was mere minutes and the lab wait was even less. Dr. Sarah Corr is wonderful. She is kind, thorough and made me not just comfortable but happy to be there. I had the same experience with her PA/Nurse, a lovely woman with a new baby girl! (and I am not just saying this because she gave me good news on my baby weight loss!) Since CU bought the practice it is a disaster. The office management is non existent. I made an appointment in August for December. After checking in j waited 30 minutes. When asked when I would see the dr they informed me the doctor was not in that day. After 1.5 hours the situation was not resolved. Dr. Mangalik is great, but three of the doctors have left to start their own practice. I came down with an awful case of bronchitis and flu like symptoms this Friday last. I decided to call Dr. M to get some sort of antibiotics being that I was feeling worse. He was all booked, so I agreed to see their new doctor Ms. Korr. I told her that I don't want the typical response of "use a Netti pot, or ibuprofen" but after telling her how awful I felt, that was her response. I even called the on call line that same night to plead for a Z-pack or something that wasn't opioids. She responded by saying that "antibiotics won't do anything, and I have to tough it out." She also said I could go to urgent care and they could give me a z-pack???? Wow! Thanks so much for looking out for a patients well being. I recommend seeing any other doctor but her... read more

I have never written a review ever in my life and I am in my 50's. But I would like to say that I have never been treated so poorly ever by a physician or person for that matter. I have been seeing Dr. Corr for many years. I have patiently waited while they are behind on their schedule and never complained. I thought we had a great relationship. However, this time I was going to Dr. Corr's new location at Rose Medical Center. She had changed practices. I could not figure out which building she was in. I had to park, go into a building and ask where she was located. This made me 15 minutes late. I had driven from Commerce City to Rose Medical center. I was in a lot of pain from a trip to Puerto Rico. Wasn't sure what was going on with my stomach. I had been in acute pain for a week. Upon my arrival the receptionist immediately told me that I probably would not be able to be seen since I was late. I asked her to ask the doctor and explained traffic had been terrible, that I could not find the building as it was the first time I had been to Dr. Corr's new location. She gave me a dirty look and went to the back. She then said very rudely that "Dr. Corr's could see me for my stomach but not my yearly checkup" I said fine. I never uttered an unkind word to the receptionist. Dr. Corr's abruptly came into my waiting room and informed me that she would not put up with any of her patients being rude to her receptionist. I immediately began crying uncontrollably. Dr. Corr after all the years I had seen her gave me no break. As many times as I have had to wait on her she could care less. I said this to her and she said that (pretty much she didn't care) and that it would make her other patients wait if she allowed me to be late. She then treated me as one of her children and threatened me with asking me with "if I was going to act this way I could leave". Not one concern for my well being. I really could not communicate since I was so distraught. I was so miserable with my stomach pain, I could not stop crying. I was completely taken back that I had not uttered one unkind thing to her receptionist. Not sure what her girl at the front desk said to her. But, whatever it was it was exaggerated. This was a new location and people for Dr. Corr's. I would imagine the front receptionist has had many other incidents since my day there. She is probably not even there still. I am a 56 year old woman who has never experienced this in my life. I warn anyone thinking of going to Dr. Corr's to think twice. She is a little bipolar if you ask me. I would never recommend anyone to Dr Corr's and warn anyone thinking of going to see her. read more

I had been a patient of Dr. Dawson's for over 7 years. I felt she was a good doctor but her office staff is the WORST! Always have been! I just tolerated it. Yesterday was the last straw. Time and time again, I go in for appointments and those women are SO clueless. Not even friendly! The place needs a MAJOR shake down! I often call the office and the phone rings 20 - 30 times and I finally hang up...no answer. Dr. Dawson said "well I have 3000 patients....the receptionists are busy!" And that is good customer/patient service response? NOT! I can see this on one occasion maybe if they are really busy but even then, I have never in my life gone to a doctor whose practice is so poorly run....by Chris the Office Manager and the doctors themselves. They simply could care less. Now about Chris, you talk about rude! This woman has never been nice in the years I have been going there. One time, I mentioned to her about the phone issues and she said "well OBVIOUSLY we are having phone issues" (like I should have known - her tone of voice non-verbally said are you stupid!") which was extremely condescending and rude. They were having phone issues all right, incompetent phone receptionists! This year alone I have scheduled at least two appointments that by the time I got there with the first one, they had "made a mistake" and didn't have me on the schedule (it was NOT me who made the mistake as they admitted they knew I called). Luckily I was able to see Kiley, the PA, who is about the worst one I have ever come across....I liked Tracy although she had no personality. Yesterday was the last straw. I am extremely busy at work handling over 300 work comp injury claims for nearly 100 client employers with no help for the time being. While I can't take off work I did yesterday to go for a physical scheduled at 8 AM with blood to be drawn at 7:30 AM. I get there and the person at the desk said "we don't have you on our schedule for blood work." For God's sake, it is annual physical and those always go hand in hand with blood work. I told her she needed to double check - still not on schedule. I told her when I scheduled the physical the lady I made that appointment with told me to come in at 7:30 AM for the blood labs and said she would have my orders from Dr. Dawson there waiting for me. NO RECORD OF THIS - AT ALL!! The lady at the desk said the person scheduling me was supposed to handle this with the dr. to ensure my labs that were needed were there....no record! With that, my blood was boiling and I told her "Tell Dr. Dawson I am getting a new doctor as this place is incompetent and oh by the way, I am NOT paying a dime for cancelling this visit." Everyone in the waiting room heard me and I don't care. The person at the desk was just rotten - bad attitude. No apology - nothing. You would also think I should have at least received a call from Dr. Dawson (that would be the decent thing to do - not a word!) But then in hindsight, why should she care about losing me - she now has 2999 patients! :) DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! I have heard and seen enough bad reviews on a multitude of web sites about Denver Internal Medicine and they all say the same thing - bad place to go and the posts are over the course of many, many years - and consistent in the message. I think the doctors there have become severely into themselves with no oversight or care for how their staff allienates, disrespects and cares about patients. Done, I am done. Look elsewhere for doctors. Get this message, many of the people writing reviews have gone to this practice for years and we are leaving... read more

Meeting/treating with all these doctors myself or with my elderly parents during visits, phone calls to see their doctor (Dr. Mangalik for 20+ years), I have seen or dealt with all of the doctors and PAs in this practice. The male doctors- Dr. Mangalik, Dr. Mellman, and Dr. Kerstein are all very good. BUT the woman doctors not so much. Dr. Bloomfield is very competent, but too busy, but Dr. Dawson is just as described by many others here- a monster with an MD- but who recently left the practice, (YAY) but unfortunately so has Dr. Mellman. Possible good news is that a new male and a new female internist joined the practice to fill those physician spots. The PA's are not very good (no physician substitute for sure!) and the current one Kiley(sp?) is downright mean. Dr. Mangalik's medical asst, Melissa is great- smart, helpful and positive. The front desk is not easy to deal with at times and oftentimes disengaged. Overall, our experience with the quality of well-selected physician care has been 4 out of 5. read more
