OPEN HANDS SENIOR CARE with JeJe and Kristen- Their service was absolutely invaluable for MANY,…read moreMANY reasons: 1. AVAILABILITY- Immediate start for 24 hour care. They completely covered the schedule and we never worried about a gap with dad being alone. 2. EXPERIENCE- Years of caring for elderly for every aspect of daily life- meds, meals, toileting, dressing, bathing, companionship, light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, errand running, and driving Dad to see our Mom at a rehab facility. 3. TRUST- Above and beyond! We felt confident from day one that Dad and his home was safe and well cared for. 4. COMMUNICATION- Excellent! Stayed in contact with the family about client issues, schedule and shift changes. 5. BEDSIDE MANNER and INTUITIVENESS - kind, loving, compassionate, and a good listeners for our Dad's stories. They took selfies of Dad and texted them to us with status updates. Our Dad grew very attached, very quickly! 6. PROFESSIONAL- Well spoken. Consultative, not pushy or demanding. Wore nice uniform shirts with their logo and personal names. 7. RECORD KEEPING- Excellent! Logged all information into a central notebook, accessible and benefitting the family, and the other caregivers 8. BILLING- Simple and straight forward with no surprises 9. TOOLS, KNOWLEDGE and TEACHING- Excellent! We were suddenly thrown into needing 24 hour care and had a LOT to learn. They shared honest knowledge and feedback with us about moving forward, and what to expect with our future endeavors for our parents. The back Story: Our 84 year old parents fell down together and Mom broke her hip and had a heart attack. Mom was the primary caretaker for our Dad for many years. With Mom at the hospital and then a rehab facility, we scrambled to find 24 hour care for Dad. Dad is pretty much incapacitated- can't see, hard of hearing, slurred speech, can barely hold a spoon to feed himself, incontinent, can barely shuffle on his walker from the bed to his recliner. In spite of all of these ailments, Dad is cantankerous and a force to be reckoned with! Jeje worked with Dad and gently encouraged him in SO MANY ways, including transitioning him to wear men's Depend's! A huge deal for Dad! Jeje left an indelible imprint on Dad's heart.... Kristen worked with Dad in subtle ways to increase his fluid and nutrition intake. Dad thoroughly enjoyed that Kristen interacted with him and his crazy daytime, ear-splitting TV shows! What a saint! We highly recommend this company!

I believe we found all three here at Flowermound Assisted Living. The staff are caring and friendly. The marketing rep Sandy was so helpful that I refer to her as my Bff. I and my brother live in another state and I truly believe she, my mom, is in great hands. The staff listens and I'm a talker. My bff Sandy was very informative and the director Nita was so sweet and caring and went over the top in helping us out. This is a smaller community but big in ways that really count. Thank you! RBW

My dealings with Sandy, Nita, Rachel and Nico were outstanding! They always made me feel like they'd known me forever! Nico is the hardest working maintenance man I've ever seen and while it was my Mom's decision not to go there it had nothing to do with the facility or staff. This decision had to be made by her and at the end of the day she chose a location with a larger footprint for the room. I will say however that if things don't work out I won't hesitate to move her to FM. I appreciate all the time they spent with me and highly recommend them.

We have been using Legacy at Home caregivers for our mom off and on for over 5 years. We have had…read morewonderful experiences with them. There have been times we've needed caregivers 24/7, and there have been periods of time when we've only needed a caregiver for a few hours here or there to support mom while venturing out to a doctor appointment. Legacy at Home is flexible and allows us to shift between mom's needs with very limited notice. After a recent fall and an ER visit, mom was sent home about 10-11pm. With a few hours advance notice, we were able to have a caregiver meet her at her facility and stay the night with her to provide the support she needed. The schedulers are fantastic and the caregivers are warm and loving. If for some reason a caregiver cancels at the last minute (car accident, illness, dangerous weather, etc), the scheduler on duty will work tirelessly to find a replacement caregiver and they will call back with regular updates on their progress - no matter if they are successful in locating a replacement caregiver or not. And most of the time they are able to find a replacement caregiver. They have amazing people who are caregivers. Many of them have made this their career choice and they want to help and support their patients. It may take a few caregivers before you find the right personality match between your loved one and the caregiver, but once you find the right matches, it's a wonderful thing! The caregivers select their preferred schedules and patients and you start to see the same people over and over again because they form very sweet caring relationships. The caregivers may even text an update here or there, if you also form a relationship with them. I highly recommend Legacy At Home. They have provided significant peace of mind for our family knowing our mom is being well cared for every day.
