I have gone to Dr. Morgan for many years, as does my mom. I cannot recommend Dr. Morgan enough for his professionalism and dedication. As I do not have dental insurance, I thought it would be worth it to go elsewhere which was an unfortunate decision of mine which resulted in additional work. I will not leave this practice again. I felt very comfortable having significant work completed within the past two months. The office is 110% compliant with COVID mandates and everyone goes above and beyond to protect the patient. My search for a new dentist lasted a little over a year. It was daunting process. I consulted with several dentists and didn't feel like I had a good fit with any of them. To go to the dentist for Botox seems weird to some people but if you think about it, who better to work on your face than someone who is already doing that all day. I have been in 3 times for botox, Dr. Morgan is so skilled with a needle that you feel almost nothing. The price is very competitive, especially in Hinsdale. Sometimes there is a buy one area and get one area free, which is awesome. But besides cost, I have had botox done in a med spa before where the doctor running it was a cardiologist, I didnt feel like they were talented in aesthetics the way Dr. Morgan is. Glad to see that some people have had a better experience here. Our experience was unfortunately not great. We were new to the area and looking for a dentist who took our insurance back in August 2017. We called this office because we had passed it in town and it looked nice. Asked the office manager about our insurance and she said we were covered and booked us a couple cleaning appointments. (In hindsight, it was probably a red flag that they could get us in that same week as most good places you definitely have to wait longer for a new patient appointment.) Went in for two cleanings and they wanted to take x-rays too. Those were quick, on site, all digital and we liked that it was new technology. Everything seemed fine. I was told I had multiple cavities that needed filled. They talked up the cosmetic dentistry part of the practice. Sometime soon after our cleanings we found out that this office was actually not fully covered. I then requested my x-rays so I could get the cavities filled from a dentist who was covered. It took several weeks of both my new dentist and myself asking before the records were sent. The previously responsive office manager seemed to ignore the requests and follow up emails. It was not until I sent a message via Facebook and saw that it was read that I got a response. I was told the records were emailed several times but that something was wrong with my new dentist's email. New dentist's email was working fine for everyone else. Finally got the x-rays over to the new dentist and went in to have the cavities filled. To my surprise, he said there were no cavities. He even took a new x-ray to be sure. No cavities, he said. At this point I was happy - who wants to get fillings? - but also shocked with everything that had transpired at Dr Morgan's office. The workers in the new office were pretty shocked too. I still don't know how to feel about it. Is that why it took so long to get the x-rays sent? Now, in April 2018, I received a bill from Dentistry by Design for over $1000 with no detail on it -- just one line item which said "Balance Forward". I contacted the office right away to get details on this and then was sent another invoice with several line items for our cleanings & x-rays back in August 2017. This seems to be the first time I was sent a bill as I always pay every invoice as soon as I receive them and would have most certainly questioned a $1000 bill for 2 new patient cleanings. I'm not quite sure if they were waiting for us to forget everything that happened previously but the entire situation is very strange. I've now been trying to work with the new office manager to come to a solution for this bill we cannot easily afford but have yet to get much assistance. I've asked if they have self-pay reductions and/or full-pay reductions (like most doctors who surprise patients with astronomically priced services) and they don't seem willing to work with us. Unfortunately, I feel like this was probably the goal all along -- cash grab. The old office manager was apparently disgruntled and no longer there so I cannot even address it with her -- I also cannot help but wonder if she knew too much. I'm sure they do a good job if $ is no concern. For us, it is -- and the whole situation from beginning to now has us seriously questioning their ethics. I would be very careful and will certainly not send any referrals. Hopefully this strange situation isn't the norm. read more

I have nothing but appreciation for Dr. Michael Morgan and his staff. I had been shopping around for a cosmetic dentist for about 2 years before I found Dentistry by Design. While I was in the process of consultations with some of the "best" dentists in Chicago, I felt discouraged and hustled by surgeons that seemed to be most interested in my money, not finding solutions that were best for my needs. When I met Dr. Morgan, he was attentive, calm and provided multiple solutions for me to consider. Mary, the receptionist, was always kind, patient, and thorough (thank god because I'm sure all my questions and emails kept her busy). They never rushed me to make a decision, and I felt confident that Dr. Morgan but time and thought into showing me the best options. He was the first dentist that I felt at ease with and it was a no brainer to move forward with the procedures / process of transforming my smile. It's been almost 3 months since and I couldn't be happier. The over all experience from start to finish was excellent. They made it simple and accommodated my schedule. They walked me through the care instructions and made it known that they'd be available for any questions/concerns I had along the way, and they proved that to be true as well. I first met Dr Morgan 20 years ago after an unfortunate sport injury. At the time, I did not understand the extent of the amount of dental work that I would need, and I was very insecure about trusting anyone. It was complete luck that I was connected with Dr. Morgan as I lived on the east coast, but I knew from our first correspondence that things would work out. Dr Morgan and his staff accommodated me around my schedule and traveling back and forth to get work done. Eight veneers and 20 years later, I still get compliments on my teeth and have people tell me they had not idea they were not my own. One would assume that living on the Gold Coast would provide the "best of the best" when it comes to medical and dental professionals but was my assumption proven wrong! After seeking out a dentist who had the "right location" off Michigan Avenue I was essentially told that a tooth could not be saved and would have to be extracted.....and then given a nice little bill for that opinion. I luckily sought out Dr Morgan for a second opinion and have been on the most fantastic journey since that day, beginning with him saving that tooth! I had spent so many hours and so much money over the years trying to "fix" my teeth with root canals and crowns and whatever the dentist of the moment recommended but had never been told to look at my mouth from the big picture as a whole entity and in relationship to my overall health. Dr Morgan spent hours coming up with a detailed plan to make my mouth/smile healthy and beautiful and accomplish what I told him was most important to me at my first visit! This could not have ever been accomplished by the band-aid techniques of the Gold Coast dentists I had stumbled across because there had to be a long term plan from the ground up. Dr Morgan made appropriate referrals where needed but did 85% of the treatment himself. My treatment was considered a full mouth rehabilitation and included cosmetic dentistry, gum treatment, bone grafts and dental implants. Every visit was extremely comfortable and his staff was terrific. A bonus I never expected was the day after Dr Morgan finished my temporaries .....he told me they call them "provisionals" in Switzerland where he went to school because they are a preview of the endpoint/perfected artwork... I walked into work, 24 hrs after my painless surgery, and was asked if I had had some sort of cosmetic surgery....apparently having your worn teeth lengthened to their youthful length makes you look 20 yrs younger! Not only did I feel healthier but I LOOKED younger! There are no words to express my gratitude to this amazing individual and I just wish every woman my age could experience the fabulous transformation that I have undergone. I found Dr. Michael Morgan through the internet after researching dentists in the area who perform Six Month Smile cosmetic dentistry. I then made an appointment for a free consultation. The receptionist was very kind and helpful with all my questions. At my complimentary consultation, Dr. Morgan asked me questions about what I wanted to achieve with my smile, and was very interested in helping me. That is when I knew it was a great fit. I am extremely unhappy about my experience today. Made an appointment told the office manager our insurance and was told that was great. Leave work early arrive, fill out paperwork and see the paper says the practice is a "pay as you go" practice. Meaning you pay for everything upfront then they do me the huge favor of billing and will reimburse me?? Ummm no. I have excellent dental and do not want to be part of a practice that inconveniences me that way. It's your job, Bill the insurance. The office manager was not there today so I believe the hygienist was talking to me. When I asked her about the issue she informed me that other practices that bill insurance companies use "shotty material" or "don't pay their employees well." Huh??? Very strange and definitely not true on any level. Oh and the office manager also does Vampire Facelifts!! Whatttt??? Are you kidding me? I went running for daylight. Great denitst that I highly recommend. Dr Morgan is an expert when it comes to teeth. I pay extra to see him because he is out of my plan and I honestly do not trust anyone else besides him. He has redone about 6 of my cavities and prevented 3-4 root-canals. As a kid I had horrible teeth and had 10-15 cavities and they were all done with metal that has slowly corroded over the years. Dr Morgan is slowly replacing each one so they can last for many more years. Each one he has replaced has been lasting for 5+ years with no problems. The cleanings are done by there dental hygienist and she is outstanding. She is specific, very easy going and highly recommend. Overall, he is a great guy, friendly, easy going, a great dentist for the person who only needs cleaning and great for someone like me who needs major dental work. The only downside is that he is very expensive but you do get what you pay for which is a great service and a great product read more

I use to go to the dentist regularly until a bad experience with a dentist/drilling which had prevented me from ever going back to a dentist in this lifetime. Then it happened 8 yrs later the inevitable bad tooth came back to haunt me with horrible tooth pain. Reluctant to do so I found myself needing a dentist. With that said my sister recommended her dentist, Dr Morgan who had done her beautiful vaneers. All it took was one phone mssg left on a sat when they were closed. Not expecting a call back until Monday, I had a return call within an hr from one of the most professional empathetic people I had ever spoken to, Mary. On the day of my appt I walked in filled with anxiety shaking just taking to Dr Morgan. By the time My dental appt was over I had forgotten I was in a dentist Office?? I needed extensive work due to my neglect over the years so you can only imagine my anxiety. I came back to have the dental repairs done and was truly amazed by Dr Morgan and his staff. I never in my wildest dreams would have ever thought going to the dentist, lying in a dental chair for 4,6 hrs at a time, being drilled on...could be so painless so effortless so easy??? After a 6 hr drilling session i came home with no pain no bruising no swelling not even days to follow. The evening of my extensive dental work i had received a call from Dr Morgan himself , to ensure i was not in any distress. After two 4-6 hr visits of drilling my fear of the dentist is gone. Not only is Dr Morgan painless, he has the best bedside manner, patience and ability to have compassion for yes even us adult kids :) I am happy to say I am a reformed dental patient will forever be great full to my sister for giving me Dr Morgans name and I will never stray. The quality of his work was so impressive i am now having my new vaneers put on, already have my temps on and needless to say they are spectacular.
