Upon arriving there, the front desk individual didn't even bother looking at my account and made me sign all the paperwork that I already did ahead of time. I didn't want to argue with her and make a bad impression for my first visit, so I just redid them all - just for her to look at my account after I handed her the papers and say, "Oh! Somebody wrote a note here saying you already did it!" I got pulled to the back by an assistant (?), she never introduced herself or what role she did. She did a fantastic job with the x-rays and cleaning though! A lady named Kim walked in next, no clue what her role was either. She spoke to me about cleaning and flossing as if I were a 5 year old child. I'm a petite woman who is on the younger side, but cmon. As someone who's worked in healthcare for over 5 years, this was the worst bedside manner I've ever seen and experienced in my life. Dr. Nguyen was the next person in the room and spoke about 5 words to me then left. I am interested in doing Invisalign but they do consultations only on Wednesdays and Fridays with the last appointment being at 4pm. Nothing on Saturdays. That's difficulty for someone who works an 8-5 job and cannot get off. Overall, I was unimpressed with this visit and will be debating with coming back.

During my time as a patient, I felt there was a consistent emphasis on additional treatments and services. I was encouraged to begin Invisalign treatment, which involved extensive photos and attachments being placed on my teeth. Those attachments repeatedly fell off, adding to an already frustrating experience. I was also told that I needed a deep cleaning and was given the impression that this was necessary in order to properly clean my teeth. This concerned me because I have historically had very good dental health and had never even had a cavity. The deep cleaning itself was surprisingly quick, and during the appointment, the hygienist openly told me that she was not seeing anything particularly concerning with my teeth. That made me even more confused about why such an extensive cleaning had been recommended in the first place. At another appointment, I was told that one of my teeth needed to be monitored for a potential cavity. During a separate visit, I was told that I was on the verge of developing gingivitis. These statements were especially alarming because my previous dentist had never raised concerns about gum disease or significant dental problems. After receiving multiple concerning recommendations and diagnoses that did not seem consistent with my dental history, I decided to seek a second opinion. I am extremely glad that I did. I was told that I did not have any cavities, showed no signs of gingivitis, and overall had beautiful, healthy teeth. They even pointed out that I have a heart-shaped tooth, which was such a sweet little detail and genuinely made me smile after having become so anxious and self-conscious about my dental health. That contrast in experiences was significant for me. I take my oral hygiene very seriously and brush and floss multiple times throughout the day, so repeatedly being made to feel as though my teeth were unhealthy was both confusing and discouraging. My biggest concern with this office was that I did not feel listened to. Instead, I frequently felt that products, treatments, and more aggressive measures were being recommended. Dental care should make patients feel informed and confident in the recommendations they receive--not pressured, unnecessarily worried, or insecure about the condition of their teeth. Ultimately, I have decided to return to my previous dentist despite the significantly longer drive. For me, the extra travel is absolutely worth having a provider I trust, who listens to my concerns, clearly explains what is and is not medically necessary, and leaves me feeling confident about my dental health rather than questioning it. I strongly encourage anyone receiving recommendations for significant or unexpected dental treatment to advocate for themselves, ask questions, and seek a second opinion if something does not feel right. I am very grateful that I did.

I visited Ahmed Saad in mid-August to re-cement two crowns in my mouth and to place a third crown…read morelost while eating. He stated, falsely in my opinion, that the 2 crowns I gave him that had gotten unglued in my mouth could not be used, and charged me full price for three new crowns that he made in-house on his Cerek machine. The two adjacent crowns he made were so poorly made (2 millimeters gap between them) than entire chunks of food would always get lodged between them, causing pain and bleeding to this date, more than 3 months later. One of the crowns he needlessly replaced with the one he made in-house was a zirconia one that had been purposely made extremely strong to minimize wear from teeth grinding. The measurements made for the new crowns he made in-house were made by one of his staff; even though such measurements are crucial,, he didn't bother doing them himself, and the result is that he crowns he made are poor and have a bog gap between them. When I initially confronted Ahmed Saad, he dismissed me with the advice to rinse with a mouthwash he recommended. I complained to the Virignia Board that overseas dentists. Now I have to wait in bleeding pain until next January when my DeltaDental insurance resets again.

The process took 3-4 hours for both crowns and to have my crowns in place, they have a very cool very hi tech machine than scan your teeth and then create your crowns in another machine in front of you in just 30 min!! I actually fall a sleep while Dr. Ahmed was working on my teeth. I never fall a sleep when I am at the dentist . Right after I finished and left I started eating and drinking normally and didn't feel any pain or anything. Felt like I didn't do anything at all in my teeth. Again it is the best dentist experience in my life. Great doctor and great staff.

While he was still in the chair, Dr. Golian said that he would not continue until my husband got the opinion of another DDS that the tooth could be saved by putting a cap on it. He then proceeded to charge my husband half price ($1,000), and told him to come back to get the rest done if the tooth could be saved, and he will then charge him the rest of the fee. WHY DID HE START AND QUIT HALFWAY IF HE HAD THIS DOUBT?
