I needed to see a dentist quickly due to my crown giving me issues. I got in the next day and was able to have a full comprehensive exam while I was there. I needed two cavities to be filled and a deep cleaning and they were able to get me in for all of those in the same week. Everyone was very accommodating, kind and gentle. I don't know anyone who loves going to the dentist, but they sure do a great job making you as comfortable as possible. Dr. Adl and his assistant are amazing. Kelly the hygienist did an amazing job and was super gentle and was very accommodating. The front desk staff was kind and truly went the extra mile to get me in. On January 2nd 2018, I received outstanding service on my laser treatments on my teeth to prevent further problems my hygienist Kelli was very attentive to how I was doing during the treatment. I have been going to dental works at this location for over two years before it was locate in sears at brookfield square mall. The worst staff, dont know how to file medical claims, (yes, I said medical as apparently when wisdom teeth are extracted, medical could cover surgical care) patient responsible to file claims without knowing their specific coding, tax I'd #, billing addresses, corporate name, etc! Been going on for 9 months n still being billed. Could have warned the patient upfront! Will NEVER return! Poor Drs have no clue their staff is losing patients. Went here a few times when I was living nearby. First visit was okay - nice hygienist, very mediocre dentist, Dr. Adl. Adl told me I needed a root canal as he saw a fracture on a tooth and the front staff ran it through insurance and told me it would be covered. The insurance company didn't agree with his assessment and need for the procedure and I was stuck with the large bill. I question his knowledge and the practices' intentions on performing unnecessary procedures. It was very unpleasant dealing with the office manager as well after this played out. read more

I have gone to DentalWorks in Brookfield, Wi for a number of years. I had a dental hygienist that did a good job. She would ask if I wanted to pay for cancer screening and try to get me to buy expensive mouth wash but when I said I was not interested she would drop it. She quit and the new hygienist I had to start seeing, Kelly, started finding problems that were never there before. Trying to convince me that I had serious gum issues and even that the bone was breaking down in my teeth causing serious periodontal issues. I have always gone the to dentist and considered my mouth pretty healthy. According to her probing depths (5+) and bone loss she said I needed oral surgery laser treatment. Then she didn't even clean my teeth and that is why I had come in. I would expect that if I had serious issues cleaning my teeth would be even more important. She told me it wouldn't help. The laser treatment was the only option. Of course the treatment would cost me over $2,000. I was in shock and said I needed a second opinion. Thank God I did. I went to a very reputable dentist that friends recommended and all the sudden my recession issues (1-3) and bone loss (none) are actually not an issue at all. I have extremely healthy teeth and obviously take very good care of them. They did not see any sign of gingivitis or bone loss. They did not see a reason to need any periodontal treatment. They said what I have heard all my life from everyone except Kelly. So who should I believe? DentalWorks has always had a habit of trying to sell me things I don't actually need, but trying to scare me into have a very costly and possibly dangerous procedure that I do not need is borderline criminal. This place is an absolute scam. My family had to go here due to a change in insurance and they told my mom she had gum disease and that I had 5 cavities! Both of us we had been fine 6 months ago so we checked with our old dentist and he told both of us we were fine and that this place has a reputation for "Overtreating" They also refused to give my mom a normal treating because her teeth were so bad they required a deep cleaning...When she said she would prefer a normal cleaning they still refused so she had to leave the dentist without them being cleaned! If I could give zero stars, I would. After going to Dentalworks for about ten years I had my worst experience yet. (Many times I was upset for lengthy wait times and the "selling of unwanted services and products" but I could forgive that.) I went for my bi-yearly cleaning and was told that after a full set of x-rays and the hygienist poking, I had bone loss, gum disease and they couldn't do the cleaning. I would need to come in for two separate appointments for "deep cleaning" which would not be covered under insurance. This news was very unsettling since every other appointment I ever had I was told my gums and teeth were in "excellent" condition. I was led to believe a total fabrication. I got a second opinion from a REPUTABLE dentist and none of this was true. Total scam. Don't believe anything they try to "sell" you. Every visit they try to sell "extras". I went to Sears because they could get me in fast and I had missed a few cleanings. But never had a cavity or issue before. The week before my visit my boyfriend also had an appointment at the Dental Works in Brookfield and they told him he had periodontal disease and needed 3000.00 worth of deep cleaning and injected antibiotics, even though he had not missed cleanings and the Dentist before this one never mentioned a case of severe periodontal disease. So, imagine my surprise when I went in there and the hygienist stabbed up my gums with a pick and recorded all of my teeth as bleeding and a few with periodontal disease, and that I too, would need 1400 worth of deep cleanings and antibiotic, followed by a few years of special care, that would charge my insurance twice the cost of a normal cleaning, more often. Ahhhhh, but they can finance all of THIS! How fortunate. They refused to give me a normal cleaning upon my request. I made an appointment with my regular Dentist immediately and saw him a month later, had to pay for another full set of x rays (149) and he does the periodontal exam himself (not a hygienist) and tells me my teeth are wonderful, no cavities, no deep pockets and zero signs of periodontal disease. Sears has called me 3 times to try to get me to schedule this "deep cleaning". I finally answered and told them to stop calling because I do not need their service. Please don't go to these places, they will seriously wreck your teeth just to make a buck, what a scam. read more

Like other reviewers said, this place is a big scam. I wish I would have read these reviews before going there. We had to take our 3 1/2 year old there, because our insurance changed. We didn't have any other options unless we wanted to pay out of pocket. He was complaining that his tooth hurt, so we wanted to get it checked out. They didn't seem to find anything wrong which was a relief. A week later we took him back for a cleaning. All was great until the dentist kept trying to tell me that his tooth pain was from his 2 year old molars coming in. I told him twice that he has had those for well over a year and a half! He didn't seem to believe me, so I just let it go. My husband and I decided we'd schedule our teeth cleanings as well, because everyone seemed so friendly there. Big mistake! We never even got our teeth cleaned!! They spent well over an hour doing X-rays and checking our gums. We both left there with a periodontal disease diagnosis, an estimate for $2000 in future cleanings, and no clean teeth! We have gone to our regular dentist for years, never missed a cleaning, and were never told once that we have periodontal disease or even the start of it!! We definitely won't be going back! I'd rather pay out of pocket to see our old dentist!! It saddens me to think of all of the people who actually fall for this. read more

Listen to what other reviews say when they tell you this place is a scam. The hygienist was pretty nice but she did ask me if I wanted to buy a product or an upgrade in my treatment for more money several times during my appointment, which felt weird since I've never had a dentist try to sell me so many things. Then Dr. Adl came in, looked at my teeth for roughly 30 seconds and told me I had FIVE cavities. I've only ever had one cavity before in my life so I was pretty skeptical. Because of that, I went back to my old dentist (who I only left because of a change in insurance) and asked him what he thought. He said I had no cavities. Then, I went to another new dentist who was under my insurance and she also said I had no cavities and that Dentalworks has a reputation for "over treating". My mom also went to Dentalworks for a visit and they told her that she had such extensive gum disease that she would need extensive treatment. She asked if they could just give her a regular cleaning since she wanted a second opinion. They said no and claimed it would be unethical to give her a regular cleaning if her teeth were that bad, so she ended up leaving without ever getting her teeth cleaned and still got billed $100 for it. She also got a second opinion and both dentists she saw said there was nothing wrong with her gums. This place is a scam and only wants your money. Do NOT go here unless you want expensive and pointless procedures done. read more

This place is such a scam. I went here for a teeth cleaning since I missed a few. I went in and they spent most of the hour just taking x-rays, so it didn't seem like they ever really planned on cleaning my teeth since they said the appointment should be about an hour. Whenever I go to the dentist, I'm always told that they look good and everything looks normal and I have a cavity to get filled. This hygienist made a big deal and told me that i needed a deep cleaning with an extensive cleaning plan every 3-4 months! A pretty drastic change for under a year!! Then, the dentist came to check me out, told me I had a cavity to get filled, which I already knew about and that everything else looks great??!! So the hygienist told me one thing and the dentist said everything was fine? So then, they came to me with this "plan" and just ONE deep clean was for $700!! And I needed this every 3-4 months. I asked her for how long do I need to do this and she said "for awhile", so no end in site! And then when I said I needed to think about it, all of a sudden they were discussing cheaper options to bring the price down? Then I asked if I can just get my free cleaning, which I clearly never got, and she told me no, I needed a deep clean. How can you deny me my free option?? So, I felt very skeptical after I left and was in shock of the "state" of my teeth and the whole plan. Then I come here and there are other things reviews of the same problem, justifying my feelings. I ended up going to another dentist and guess what, my teeth were in great condition and I got my cleaning. Steer clear away from this place unless you want unnecessary work and bills. read more

My husband and I have been going to Dental Works for about 30 years. We have even moved to a location 4 hours away and continue to drive the 200 miles twice a year for our check-ups. We have had excellent service and honest care. By that I mean that I tried another dentist locally and he wanted to redo a crown to the tune of $2,000 that was not giving me any problems. I went back to Dr. Adl to get his opinion and he indicated that if you went to 5 different dentists each would have a different possible solution to the issue. This crown has been in place for over 10 years without a problem. He then asked if I was having any problems with the tooth. Which I answered no. He checked it out and saw no problems with it and indicated if I did he would be happy to fix it without charge. After this experience, we would not go anywhere else. We are concerned that there are many dentists out there who do unnecessary procedures on people, but Dr. Adl is not one of those dentists and he stands behind his work. He has a great staff in Audrey as a hygienist and a great office staff as well. They are friendly and efficient. read more
