I went in to get my front tooth fixed, but when they found out I had…read moreinsurance they pushed for a full exam and pushed me to get other teeth pulled while never fixing the front tooth I went in for. They made sure to get all money (percentage my insurance didn't cover) upfront at the start of the office visit and made it clear that the primary goal was getting paid. They pulled me from the dental chair on my second visit with a drool napkin around my neck and sent me to the office when they realized no one had me pay upfront yet before they would go on. While sitting alone in an x-ray room I could hear the receptionists joking around about how they would be fired if they didn't get that money in first. I ended up getting 2 teeth pulled and it felt weird after. It felt like they broke off a piece of my jaw in the process, and now I have a jagged piece of bone sticking out of my gums a few years later because my suspicions were right. They never bothered to tell me that happened at the time it happened. I never got the one tooth I went in for fixed because they pushed to do the others first and I couldn't bring myself to go back again after the 2nd time. The two times I was in there I left and cried in my car. Also the dentist made it a point to tell me that he wasn't judging me because of my bad teeth. Something that never even occurred to me until he said it. I felt really self conscious after that. I plan to find a better dentist this year and get the tooth fixed that I went to them for in the first place.
