What I thought would be a simple procedure almost cost me my life. I had a extreme dental pain after my dental procedure and became sick in a way I had never experienced before. I went back to the dentist, he examined the tooth he had worked on and said it looked fine. There was nothing wrong with it, he said the tooth next to it needed work and that was the cause of my pain. Fast forward three months later, the tooth he worked on abscessed and fell out and now I have a life threatening bacterial INFECTION from it that has traveled throughout my body and required me to go the ER after becoming deathly ill. I believe the tooth was infected when I went back to see Dr. Mauricio that's the reason I got really sick and have haven't been able to shake off some of the weird symptoms. This could have all been avoided had he addressed my tooth pain, and correctly re cemented the crown with out any gaps between the gum and tooth. (After seeing my US dentist, he confirmed there is nothing wrong w the tooth next to it) This place just wants the tourist dollars (cha ching). They have a strong marketing incentive to get ppl to rate them highly on here. Don't be fooled!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Thanks for costing me my life Euro Dental and Dr. Mauricio. Pls don't bother to reply back. You've done enough.

He was also generally unhappy and fussy for a couple of days prior to that. It also felt like he has fever. Seeing the blood makes you have to think very quickly! After a quick research, we found Galenia - it was highly recommended by multiple sources, including this Yelp page. Of course, we went there and our son was admitted in the ER. He was seen about 30-40 minutes after we came in, which was acceptable. Luckily there was no new blood coming our of our son's mouth... We were told in advance that we would need to pay around $350 for ER services. It felt like extremely high for Mexico, but we didn't have a choice so we decided to stay and wait. When a nurse was ready to see us, turned out they DON'T have any pediatrician on staff at the moment. Whoops! Well, ok, a "regular" doctor should suffice since it's an emergency for us. Hopefully the doctor will apply common sense to the situation. The nurse has taken vitals from our son... Another 20 minutes and the doctor came. He spent about 5 minutes looking at our son and concluded that the blood in the mouth may be related to an extreme allergic reaction to pineapples that our son was eating when that happened. Nothing life-threatening. Ok - good to hear! There was also fever and the doctor concluded that it'll just go away and nothing needs to be done, outside of giving him fever reducing medications. We got a few medications prescribed. Paying $354 for that felt a little high, but that's alright, we've taken the time from someone else's time in the Emergency Room, so it's understandable. Next thing I did is picking up the prescribed medicine. It wasn't very cheap, but that was ok... Fast-forward to the late evening of the same day; I'm unpacking the medicine and seeing that each of the 3 different medicines that the doctor has prescribed are strongly NOT recommended to be taken for children under 3 years old - it said that straight up on the package. Yikes! Well, we are definitely not giving that to our son. The doctor hasn't mentioned anything about it. Chances are, he just does not know what can and can not be prescribed to children, since he is not a pediatrician... We avoided giving the medication to our son. However, his condition wasn't improving much. Three days later, we arrived back into the US, went straight to our pediatrician. Turns out, our son has (1) thrush, and (2) ear infection. Thrush was bad. Ear infection was REALLY BAD. We had to be taking two different types of antibiotics for the length of 25 days afterwards for it to treat! I wish the doctor would look into the ears, which I know pediatricians normally do when children have fever, and notice that it's REALLY BAD. None of the medications were originally prescribed to treat neither thrush nor ear infection. And of course, our pediatrician confirmed that the medicine that was prescribed would make our son ever more miserable if we gave it to him, since it wasn't made for toddlers. The doctor was just NOT qualified to see our son. What a waste of money and time; it made our lives truly MISERABLE for the following 2-3 weeks. I wish they had a pediatrician on staff to see kids; or were upfront about it so that we had time to go to a ER that would have one. Be on the look out for that, and definitely try to find an urgent care somewhere else first if it's not a life-threatening situation, since this place charges tourists an arm and a leg.

(One of my previous dentists had been a line backer in college.. BIG hands.) A couple years earlier I'd gone to a dental patient mill in Plaza Americas. They did a terrible job with a root canal, taking over 5 hours. Their crowns had huge spaces to the gums which constantly snagged fiberous food. Dr Christina made new crowns which are perfect, easy to clean and look totally natural... and for a small fraction of the US price. My US dentist takes 2 weeks to get crowns made..Dr Christina can have them in a day or 2. I recommended her to a female friend in the US. My friend now loves her new look and it has changed her life. This place does quality work, quickly and for a very reasonable price. Her office is easy to find and in a good part of town. It is right across the street from the Gran Plaza mall on Ave Nichupte. From the Hotel Zone you can take the R2-27 bus for 10.5 pesos. Or, take the R44 bus from Plaza Americas for 8 pesos.

SOTADental referred me to Neo Dental clinic supposedly to number one dentist in Cancun sometime in…read moreNovember of 2022. Dr. Miller. According to my experiences he is not even number one dental technician!! The first part of my dental care was a success because surgery performed by incredibly qualified surgeon Dr. Omar Lugo, who actually performed my entire implant surgery and ensured painless recovery and healing process, which was monitored by my local dentist as well. But unfortunately Neo Dental so called #1 dentist took out one of my perfectly fine implant for his own convenience so he can finish quickly and hop on to the next patient!. Upon checking the scan Dr Miler him self confirmed everything was integrated properly. But unfortunately when it was time to work on that implant I received a message that my appointment has to be rescheduled and that I have to stay in Cancun for another two weeks because they didn't have an abutment for that implant (proof on file). (There was plenty time to order that before I returned). But...it wasn't. I had to extend my stay because of that and after my husband went home Dr. Miller told me he will manage to finish my treatment sooner so I don't have to stay too long. To make that happen he personally picked me up the next day and worked on my implant that he didn't have abutment for. At some point he called to his assistant for extra Anastasia and soon after I was done. He the went outside and made a phone call and when he returned he set down and said; "here is your implant, it failed". I was speechless. To make things worse I still ended up staying two more weeks and even after second attempt my teeth wasn't made any better than a horse shoe. To fix my problem contacted Dr Omar as I figured he would be the most appropriate one to contact I was fortunate to arrange that and went to see Dr. Omar on October 1st, 2023. I am happy to say that he was able to fix the issues created by Neo Dental clinic which involved tightening and replacing some abutments, correcting my bite, aligning my teeth and giving me new set of beautiful set of zirconia teeth that brought my natural smile back. According to SOTA dental owner and Neo Dental this wasn't possible, SOTA Dental owner sees a smoke on the scan and Dr. Miller said I had a such a small mouth. If I had such a small mouth how did he manage to put such a big teeth in such a small mouth? Well, I got news for them with passionate team of professionals like Dr. Omar anything is possible. In response to SOTA owner response to my review. your emails said enough. When it comes to speaking of truth, you and truth are very far apart! Your emails and Millers messages could make a lot more interesting story than your Drs notes. I have a have great smile and fully functional mouth thanks to a Doctor Omar Lugo, you definitely can't take credit for that!! This time around I personally managed my care!!! And don't worry I I got in touch with Dr. Miller and dropped him a few lines as well.

I have always been very insecure about my teeth. I had teeth that were missing, had several large gaps, and stained yellow from many years of smoking. *NOTE: I quit smoking a week before I went to Cancun and have not had a cigarette since then* As with many other people, I found June Penny on YouTube. After watching several of her videos, I felt very comfortable going down to Cancun and getting some work done. So, I did it! I went to Cancun and got the first part (the surgical part) of the All on 4 dental procedures. I did not feel any pain during the surgery, because they do sedate you thru an IV. After they took out what remaining teeth I had and placed the implants, I was done for the day. YAY! I went to the beach and the pool. I had swelling which is VERY normal. I did not have teeth for about 4 days, eh, not too big of a deal, because I knew that was part of the process. I received a set of temporary teeth and was sent home for 6 months for the implants to fuse to the bone and become part of my body. I came back to Cancun 6 months to the day of my arrival the first time (April 4, 2021 - October 4, 2021) I was so excited to get my permanent set of teeth!! AND I LOVE THEM! I have had them in now about a week. Still learning how to talk with them and not bite my tongue. I have been able to eat everything that I have wanted including steak! I wish I would have seen Dr. German a bit more during my two trips, but he does stop by to see how you are feeling and I felt like he generally cared about the well-being of the patients. Another thing that I wish could have been changed is that the taxi driver is included in the price. I do have to say, Francisco one of the Taxi drivers they use IS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! He was my driver for both of the times that I was there. He even drove me to the airport when it was time to go back home. I just wish that that was included... from my hotel (Riu Caribe to the dentist was about 10 dollars each way; not including tip). So far, I would have to say I am very happy with my experience, it was safe, clean, and had perfect weather. I really enjoyed my time and so far I think that the money was well spent...
