He takes the time to explain everything clearly and shows you x-rays and photos to help you understand what's going on with your teeth. You can text or call their office directly (no call centers or robots), and they'll verify your insurance coverage and go over any out-of-pocket fees before you arrive. They even send reminder texts and help you stay on top of when you're due for cleanings or treatments, so you don't have to worry about taking care of things yourself. They give you lip balm before your appointment, TVs to watch Netflix in front of you and on the ceiling, plus a hot towel afterwards. They also have handheld x-ray machines and no blinding lamp, which is great if you're someone who gets anxious in the dentist's chair. And they have complementary snacks and water, plus a cute nook for children to read and tokens for a vending machine at the end. It's the little things, here! I was worried about the cost, but I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable their prices were. I felt like I had been scammed by other dentist offices in the past, but not here. I interacted with a handful of employees, and they were all so friendly! Nishat spent a considerable amount of time with me, going over the treatment plan and costs. I appreciated the transparency and low pressure advice. She ultimately convinced me to bite the bullet and pay for it, so the problem doesn't get worse. I wanted to pay out of pocket, and I specifically came because when I searched affordable, no insurance dental clinics, Ibn Sina appears in the results. It is definitely NOT more affordable than other places. In fact, their prices on par with my usual dentist. The self-pay, no-insurance prices were higher. Had I known this, I would have definitely gone to my usual dental office. I also feel Dr. Jeong could have been a little more patient with me. I have severe asthma, which causes rhinitis, which means I struggle significantly with breathing from my nose. During the procedure, I felt like I was going to pass out from not being able to breathe. I was constantly gasping for air, choking on my own saliva + water. I contemplated saying I needed to use the restroom just so I could get a break. The doctor and assistant seemed annoyed with me, but I tried my best to suffer through it, and we eventually made it. Despite the pain, I do feel like Dr. Jeong did a great job, and I am confident in her work. She seemed very meticulous. I just wish I didn't have to return.
