Cute store we like to look around when we come to town. There's a big area in the back with Western stuff and big pieces kids can climb on. The inside has a lot of variety, it's a bit overpriced (one kid's camping chair was $110 and kid's shirts are $25-35). But it's a fun stop and a very nicely decorated and clean shop. People were friendly and it's a place we enjoy visiting! read more

Date of visit: 8/23/22 We stopped here as mom was looking for a couple of Utah souvenirs and this was the first place that popped up on Google. Its location right on the main drag of Kanab was convenient as well. I was optimistic when I saw the clearance rack outside, but it all went downhill from there. The items were not logically organized and the staff was the opposite of friendly. We spent a good 10 minutes in the store and the woman at the counter looked around bored the entire time. Everytime we found something that might work, the price was way too high or there wasn't the size that we needed available. I should have taken the hint with the lack of greeting or acknowledgement from staff and not wasted my time! read more

This business was great with our 4 busy kids. They had the normal Indian nick nacks & some cute route 66 decor as well as some adorable camping mugs. We did notice a set of longhorns broke before the couple even walked out the door. Our kids were getting a bit wild so we decided to leave and the lady working led us to the backdoor of the neighboring restaurant and the kids were able to run and play on all the cute outdoor western stuff read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! They take no responsibility for anything. Plus they can't keep their word. After saving up and buying myself 2 souvenirs, they did not wrap up my purchases which resulted in them being broken. I called the store and spoke to an elderly lady who informed me that it's their policy to wrap everything in several layers of bubble wrap which they didn't do. She told me to mail the purchases back and they would replace them. I went out and bought a box and mailed them back. Today I received a call from the store and he kept saying that the store wrapped the items and placed them in the box. I told him repeatedly that I provided that box myself. He wouldn't believe and kept insisting that they provided the box. Apparently, it's not their policy to wrap purchases which makes no sense. Why bother to sell fragile items then? Anyplace I've shopped wraps up fragile items very well. He said they aren't responsible when things leave the store. Apparently, they think it's fine to lie to customers. Why bother to tell me to send back the items for replacement? I guess they enjoyed causing me to waste more money. You would think they would keep their word and do what was promised. But they don't have good business ethics so I'm out this extra money. I will definitely visit Kanab again but I will NEVER visit this store again. read more

I have to say, I think tonight's dinner, was the best I've ever had at a Grand Design RV rally. The GDRV4LIFE family had a great time and the restaurant went out of their way to make the evening wonderful despite the power being out. Thank you very much. read more

Great spot! We picked up some great souvenirs here during our stay in town. The reason for this 5-star review, however, is because of their lovely employee Julie! My girlfriend and I chatted with her about our plans for the day, and she gave us great advice. She recommended several spots we should see on the North Rim, and we ended up seeing them all and saving time thanks to her help! We had never been to the Grand Canyon before, and thanks to Julie, we had a fantastic day trip! She also cautioned us to be careful on the drive back, and we were extra aware of the cows and deer along the road and had a safe journey. Thank you Julie! read more

Typical gift shop. However, the staff is very rude. Usually an establishment that Carter's to tourists should listen to what people are asking, instead they talk back to you with attitude. There are better shops to go to. When trying to make a purchase I gave them my credit card to charge. The poorly trained employee proceeded to run my card wrong and blamed me for not making payments on my card when it did not work. I tried to explain she swiped it wrong and to try again. She refused and called her manager over. The manager also accused me of not making payments on my card and that is why it did not work. Since I knew this not to be the case, I told them feel free to call the card company or just run the card again if you want my business. They finally ran the card again and wouldn't you know, it worked. Rude rude rude staff. read more

The ambiance is very well suited for a BBQ place. I tried the BBQ beef brisket sandwich. It was pretty good! Although I had a bite of my friends BBQ pulled Prok sandwich and it was better =(. Also there 4 different types of BBQ sauce options on the table. My favorite was the spicy one, I think it was called "All Fired Up" After dinner we walked around the courtyard which had cool western decor, there was a mock little western town that you could take pics in including a mock horse drawn wagon, a jail, a saloon?. There was also this cool giant chair that had cowboy boots as the front legs. Along the back wall they have all 50 of the US License plates! It was a mix of old and new ones as if it took a while to collect them all! There was also a "Bar" section inside that seemed pretty cool with a pool table and tvs. Perhaps a good place to celebrate if you won the lottery to see the Wave! - Decent BBQ if you happen to be in/around Kanab - Neat decor peaces earn this place an extra star! - prices for BBQ are expensive (15+), but BBQ sandwiches was under $10! read more

Restaurant Part Casual dining experience. Definitely worth checking out if you have the time and money. You eat on paper directly on the trays. If you don't like this style don't come? Pet friendly. We brought our little dog with us. On the expensive side for the quality and the amount. If I come here again in the future I'll be getting the pulled pork instead of the BBQ sampler. Corn was mediocre, baked potato was ok and the fresh cornbread muffins were rubbery tasting and feeling. The BBQ sauces were good. Fire it up was my favorite. I would have given it 4 stars if the sides were better tasting and if the quantities were larger or the prices less. read more

Terrible experience! We came here for lunch on a weekday. It was empty, how cares you would say. There were only 3 choices: BBQ sandwich, pork or beef and hotdog. We ordered 2 BBQ beef sandwiches and a hotdog. Buns were served cold, the meat was barely hot. The meat was not cooked on demand, it was cooked in the morning and was waiting to be served in some boxes. It was quite disappointing, on the front it says 'restaurant' but it looked like a ship's mess. Otherwise, decoration and gift shops were beautiful! read more

As my husband and I were walking through Kanab exploring the small town, we came across Denny's Wigwam. The smell of smoked meats was inviting. Debi, the hostess told us about their menu and that their brownies were made from scratch. We weren't quite ready to eat but decided that we would be back for dinner. When we did return, Debi greeted us with a familiar smile and let us choose where we wanted to sit. Juan ( the Juan and only) was our server. We ordered a couple of beers and some chips and salsa. The chips were good and so was the salsa. Then we ordered our meal. I had the pork ribs and my husband ordered the briscuit. It was top notch. Meals came with 2 sides and a corn muffin. The muffin was amazing to say the least. We ate until we were stuffed. Juan and Debi both checked on us throughout our meal. We did end up splitting a brownie ( made by scratch), and that was a perfect ending to our meal. This was a fabulous dining experience. To top it off, since I raved about the muffin, I was able to get an extra one (for the road). I plan on going back. Everyone we spoke with there was pleasant and made us feel welcome. read more
