I recently decided to have dinner at this Denny's location during my recent overnight stay in Kingsburg. The place was unusually quiet as there were only a couple tables occupied and only one waitress on duty. The place seemed a little dated, so in all fairness this wasn't exactly the nicest location I've been to in the Denny's chain. Nevertheless, I found the service to be fine and the food as I was expecting. Denny's isn't exactly a gourmet restaurant, but it is dependable and the prices are reasonable. Your waiters were an absolute jerk. Our first waiter gave us an attitude the second we came in. My second waiter has been disrespectful this whole time. It took me almost 40 mins to get my milkshake and then another 15 mins after she stood around and had a conversation with her friends at a table. It was a good experience. I know Dennys have bad reviews but this time they met my expectations. I am easy to please. Gime good friendly service, fresh food and tasty food and I am there. I ordered a house salad no protein with ranch dressing and ordered of seasoning fries. To drink I had coffee. Weird combo hu? My daughter got the half order of nachos. Salad was super fresh and crispy just the way I like it. It had cheese in it. Ranch well they always have good ranch dressing. The fries were super fresh as well. Crispy and chewy a the same time. Very tasty. My coffee well they made a fresh pot just for me. So it was good coffee. My daughter enjoyed the nachos. She always do. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I cannot rate the food because I never got any. I entered the building a staff member seated me at the counter where I requested since I was alone. The restaurant was busy so I patiently waited 25 minutes. The place was no longer busy as people were leaving at around 10am. 3 staff members were standing in front of me talking looking past me like I wasn't there. My husband and I stopped here Saturday night (about 11:30pm) and were super hungry. David the server was so friendly and greeted us with a big smile. We could tell he was busy so we waited patiently. He came over and took our drink order. About 5-10 mins after that he came to our table to tell us that it was time for the cook (Chuy) to go home and the new one still hadn't shown up yet. "I don't have a cook to cook your food, I'm so sorry". We could tell that he felt terrible as he was telling us but when he saw our faces he quickly offered to cook us dinner if it was easy. We agreed and he happily took our order and went off to cook our food. About 10-15 mins later he came out with our food. I asked if he made it and he said "no. The cook stayed behind just to took your food". What a guy! Both David and Chuy went above and beyond that night. They both made sure that we had our food and gave us some amazing service. Went for a curbside order gave the gal a tip thinking I handed her 2 $1 bills and it was a $1 dollar bill and a $50 called the restaurant and girl denied it I knew what I had in my purse that money was for a fund raiser. I haven't been to a Danny's in a long time and decided to give it a try. As we walked in, we were greeted right away. The hostess was very nice, friend, and walked us to our table right away. We didn't have to wait too long before our server came over to take our beverage order shortly after she took our dinner order. Our dinner came after about 15 minutes, not too bad. The food was as expected comfort food!!! I had chicken fried chicken, red skin mashed potatoes, and corn. The chicken was great; the mashed potatoes had good flavor but a little thinner than I've had, and the corn was sweet. I'd order it again for sure. As I currently sit in this Denny's writing this review I'm disappointed in myself for not heading down the street to Selma's Denny's. I've been here since 11:30 it is now 1pm. Still waiting for food. Now it makes sense why our waitress said 2 tables have already left on her. While the place is full, it doesn't quite explain why it has now taken 1 1/2 hrs to get 2 burgers and some French toast. I used to come here as a kid and let me tell you it has definitely gone down hill. I should have read the reviews on this particular Dennys before choosing to come here. Like most in these reviews I wish I could give no stars to this place. The kitchen needs to be better at getting food out, the wait staff are the ones who will end up paying for it by not getting tips. read more

Went in today for breakfast, line out the door, many open tables yet no one getting sat down. Hostess named Lynette almost seemed annoyed that my wife asked why no one had even acknowledged us. My wife asked again why at least 5 separate groups were not getting sat down. Then Lynette walked over to her manager Mercedes and within earshot of us called my wife crazy. She then walked over to us and proceeded to ask us to leave. This is the exact reason why we never eat at this place, literally everytime we come here the service is AWFUL. I had previously had a bad experience with this Denny's because I did order food from there and they were getting sprayed for bug and they didn't issue a refund after I placed an online order. Dropped in after waiting 45 minutes at a IHOP and didn't get our food. We were seated right away, our order was taken and food was on our table is less than 13 minutes. They had two large groups and several tables filled but this crew was hustling! The cook was on point and my wife tipped him for his great work along with our waiter. The waiter and waitress were working well as a team and everybody was taken care of. We were happy with the service from Caleb....he was, however, acting as host & sole server at lunchtime. The club sandwich came out on time, but was light on bacon- Caleb fixed it right away.
