Progress was extremely slow, with minimal effort on basic tasks. Mr. Brauer repeatedly arrived at meetings and inspections looking disheveled: CPAP marks still visible on his face, wrinkled clothing, and jeans instead of business attire. It gave the impression he wasn't taking the matter seriously. Most disturbing was his creepy & invasive behavior during a court-ordered visit to my home. Without permission or escort, he entered my master bedroom & bathroom. When I walked in he was fondling my personal belongings. It was violating, predatory, and completely unacceptable from any professional, let alone an officer of the court.

Lesson learned...good sales tactic at this location capitalizing on the upcoming USPS price hike. I didn't realize until I got home that I paid more than what the future price increase for stamps will be...for stamps I did not need. When I called, the store the manager was not understanding. She said they offer the stamps as a convenience. While I understand that, I have been to this location many times and never had this type of experience pushing stamp sales. My fault for not paying attention, however the manager response could have been more understanding or offer a solution to return them.

This location is great! They are always appropriately staffed and it's all hands on deck when a…read moreline begins to form. I never wait more than a few minutes, even if the line is out the door. They are very helpful and take extra time to assist those who may not be as familiar with technology and on-line returns. I've never seen them be rude; even in situations when a customer may be very nasty.

This year we had some significant life changes that surely would've impacted our taxes. I'd have…read moredone then myself otherwise, but we figured a competent CPA would make our lives a little less stressful. We were wrong. We made a 1 o'clock Thursday appointment with Pat Hanniford. When we spoke on the phone to schedule this appointment he was friendly but offered very little information beyond when to come to his office. I also had to ask HIM what informational tax materials to bring to our filing appointment. Shouldn't this have been something he began with? I didn't feel that he was very thorough in this regard and gave me a very loose idea of what he'd need. I took a half day off work and arranged for a babysitter for our afternoon appointment thinking it might be an hour or so. Running a few minutes late we showed up 3 minutes after 1 o'clock. Pat was nowhere to be found. His secretary, Kathy didn't know where he was and didn't bother to call him until we had already been waiting 10 minutes. Then she told us that he was on his way in thinking our appointment (the one that he personally scheduled) was for 2 o'clock. When we asked how far out he was they told us "maybe 4 minutes". That was a gross underestimation. We waited an additional 25 minutes, our first impression of this group growing less enchanting with each passing minute. We had a 2 month old at home that we had scheduled around so this was very inconveniencing, somewhat stressful, not to mention highly unprofessional. When he arrived he was over 40 minutes late for our appointment. Then the actual meeting took less than 5 minutes. We laid out our forms and paperwork, he looked them over, and told us he'd be in touch. Never being told how long the appointment would last nor that he could only devote 5-10 minutes to us, we felt rushed the entire 10 minutes. I later found out that I could've just dropped off the paperwork after work. The whole meet and greet with this office was abrupt and impersonal. So impersonal in fact that they didn't even bother to close the doors to the conference room we were in, allowing whomever to listen in on our personal business. Thus far, not impressed, but we decided to ride it out. At our meeting Pat had told us he'd have our taxes done by the beginning of that coming week. We never heard a thing until WE called at the end of that next week. We were then told they'd be ready sometime the following week. We never heard anything the following week again and began calling every few days leaving messages with Kathy for Pat but never getting a call back. Eventually I just emailed Pat who wrote back apologizing and scheduled us to come in to review our filing. When we arrived he was out of the office again, and came in late, giving us about 10 minutes of his time to review what he prepared. He left us with 1 of 2 options to file and we told him we needed to think about it and call with our directive early the following week. Come the next week and after 3-4 unreturned phone calls to Pat with questions we needed answered, I eventually just went to his office. He of course was not there again but "he's on his way in and he'll be here in 5 minutes" was repeated a few times by Kathy while we waited. (Be aware that this is a habit with this guy, and that his office always always says "he'll be here soon" - Plan on waiting for him every step of the way) . He actually wasn't in the office ANY of the 4 times that I or my wife went there to speak to him and didn't return a single message we left with Kathy. As it's all said and done now, I'll steer clear of this group in the future. Customer service was nonexistent and common courtesy is a reach here. It would seem that either their clientele is the weathered Brighton establishment, not considering a younger generation of client worth extending courtesy to, OR, they're just fundamentally inconsiderate.

Over 20 years ago, after serving in the US Navy and moving back to Michigan, I went out on a limb and started my first business on a very limited budget. I choose Dennis Perkins to assist me in setting up the company, after having several businessmen I knew at the time highly recommend him. They were correct, I could not have been more pleased with the high level of service, expert advice and assistance, and all at a very reasonable price. Over the years, I have sought the advice of Mr. Perkins on a vast array of legal topics, and in each case, I have found Mr. Perkins advice extremely valuable. Even though I no longer live in Howell, whenever I need good legal advice, I make the trip to Howell. The time and cost is worth every penny. I have never been disappointed, in any way, with the professional level of service, and wise advice I have received from Mr. Perkins over the years. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOK! Mr. Perkins TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A DYING VETERAN! If I could give this man a NEGATIVE 1005 star review I would. What has this man NOT done wrong? Mr. Perkins TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A DYING VETERAN and allowed my father, 3 months prior to his death while he was popping morphine like it was M&Ms, modify his Last Will and Testament to have his company's employee Pat receive the ONLY OBJECT of any financial value in his estate. Then he has the audacity to file a lawsuit forcing the estate into probate because Pat, his employee, who 3 months prior to his death was to receive nothing in the original will, didnt get the only item of value in the estate. Oh and to top it all off, Mr. Perkins illegally accessed my fathers bank account after he was dead so he could find out how much money was in the estate. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOK! read more

do not use this legal group. i was referrred to them by the…read moreoakland county probate court, pontiac, mi, i called them and i asked them a question about my deceased ex-husbands 401k that he supposedly has through fidelity. fidelity had notified me by mail that i am the next living next of kin. my ex-husband had no assigned legal representative for his estate tim flynn then told me to give him a week, because he had to talk to his senior partner steve mogdis. a week later and no word from either one of them, so i called them to find out what was going on whether or not if he could help me. tim told me that they were opening up the case in oakland county probate court that very day. he was supposed to get back to me. tim kept avoiding me and not returning my calls to tell me what was going on. i never gave them any money or signed any kind of contract to hire them. they went behind my back and are trying to collect money that doesn't belong to them. they are scammers and are knowingly putting their licenses online to committ fraud by taking advantage of someone else's estate that doesn't belong to them. i hope that they're going to enjoy prison by time this is all over with a complaint with the attorney general office and michigan bar association is in the process of being worked on. lorraine m. w.
