Dr. McCusker is very empathetic and has followed mine and my family's health with interest and professionalism all this time. Lisa, the pediatric nurse is great with my baby and has given us good advice in how to deal with my son's ailments. Although is a quite busy surgery, Emma in reception has always sort ourselves out with an appointment,when needed. Prices are also very reasonable.

I love doctor Rogers, she is like the sweetest and the softest doctor ever, she really makes me feel that she cares. I kinda feel like coming back there just for her. More than that, at first they refused to give me my results unless I have another appointment with the doctor. Then they changed their mind and I got my results, but the impression of the clinic was ruined already. So, I give three stars for that.

I was then told that I only required an appointment with a nurse for this to be corrected. On arrival I was told that this was incorrect and had to pay for a second time. Again receiving the wrong prescription, and relaying this over the phone. I was told that this time, I only needed to collect the prescription, that they would call when this was ready. A call was never received. When I called again I was told that I had to come in, and on the third appointment having been told that they should not have given me the wrong prescription for the second time. I arrived, had to pay for an additional consultation fee. The woman working at reception told me that I was wrong, and that I could not have been given the wrong prescription twice. She would not let me pay the correct fee and charged me double. She was frankly quite rude and is the main reason that I will not be returning to this practice.

When I rang to…read morecomplain about how I was treated the receptionist acted like a child refusing to answer me, put me on speaker and I could hear her footsteps, refused to give me her name, told me to "write it all down" and hung up on me mid sentence! Initially was refused when I was heavily pregnant just because my combined care was with a different medical Centre. I explained that the appointment wasn't for the baby but was for me as I was ill - too ill to make it to my usual doctor who was in Dublin City centre. I was again refused because I wasn't doing combined care with them and when I asked if I could switch to them -suddenly was told they were full. I rang back after my son was born and was told that once he had the 6 week check up I could then book in for an appointment. When I tried to book receptionist was so rude to me about me not being registered. I had to ask her to explain the process of how to register she exasperatedly told me to write an email as if I should have known this already. I was not told any of this info on how to register previously. I was made to feel like an outsider trying to get into some exclusive club rather than a mother trying to get a GP for her son.

I had no problem getting an appointment on the Monday morning that I rang and I wasn't waiting long when I got there. I went to see Dr. Flynn. He listened to my symptoms and took his time running through some simple neurological exams to rule out any major problems. He advised me to follow up with an MRI in A&E and to call him if my symptoms got worse. I had some ups and downs throughout the week following the concussion. Dr. Flynn kept in contact with me throughout and called me back within 20mins max of leaving a measage (which I have found to be a rare thing based on previous experiences with GPs). The appointment cost €60 which is reasonable for a GP in Dublin. I wasn't charged an admin fee for an additional sick note I required a few days after my initial appointment. I have to say, if I end up staying another year in the Barrow Street area, I'll be switching my medical records to this practice. The best GP I've seen to date.
