I come here once a day every year; not to renew my visa to Indonesia (thankfully I don't need one in advance) but to gorge myself of delicious Indonesian food. Every summer they hold a Bazaar and Cultural Festival where one can see traditional dances, martial arts, musical performances... who am I kidding! We only go here for the food! Nasi rames, nasi kuning, bakso, lontong sayur, rendang you can buy to take home by the kilo, and other excellent dishes! Once you get thirsty, you can buy Bintang beer, Tehbotol, coffee, and cendol.
You can also buy clothes, souvenirs, pre-packaged snacks, and convenience foods at the few non-food stalls. The people working at these stalls are generally very sweet and proud of the food that they are serving. This is the most authentic Indonesian food you will be able to get in Copenhagen.. unless you know a good Indonesian cook. (;
If you do come by their summer event, remember to bring plenty of CASH. Only a few stalls accept Mobile Pay and you are a fool if you think they take cards. The only reason I didn't give it the fifth star is that the bathroom situation is sketchy and the organization of the event can be a bit scattered. read more
