Climb difficulty depends on your fitness level but imo it's easy. Steep inside, but easy. The outside is a little scary off you're afraid of heights, and it narrows as you get closer to the top. The spiral stairs part is outside the church. Plus you get the chance to meander through the streets on your way here.

I hyped everyone up for the Church of Our Saviour. My kids know it as the Tower of Doom…read more First up, it is a church that is still in use, but it also gives you a breathtaking view of the city. It's included on the Copenhagen Card but you still need to book your entry time online to avoid crowds. They do not allow walk ins - or at least they didn't in July. They also close the climb up if there's rain or is excessively windy for safety reasons. I took my friend and my two kids, ages 4 and 8. They did not want to go. I gave them a choice to stay at the front desk and they ended up making it up, since they didn't want to be left behind. You can store your larger bags (like backpacks) by the front desk at your own discretion. You should. It gets a bit cramped. I kept my purse on me though. As opposed to the Ruundetarn, there are a lot of steps. Roughly 400 up and another 400 down. It's not terrible but the closer you are to the top, it can get narrow and cramped. If you're tall, watch your head. It also gets to the point that groups going in one direction need to stop to let the ones coming down go just so you have room to go up. The last set of stairs to get outside is more like a ladder and you really feel it when you're getting ready to get back inside the church and you look down to see how steep and narrow those steps are. It is a beautiful view though! Your heart is pumping from the climb up, the wind hampers your breathing a bit... I heard a number of people breathing quite hard - but you're there! You go up further until you can go no more. When I went, there was a lady who was seemingly stuck at the very top and didn't budge from it, but no matter. (She spoke to us... just didn't let go.) Both of my kids made it up too despite their reservations. It took time to get them moving at first but they did it! My eldest got down without issues but going down those ladder steps, I just held my 4 year old in one arm and took us both down 2 flights before I let him down. But yes, younger kids can do it! (They got ice cream afterwards.) If you have a fear of heights or claustrophobia.... You can definitely turn around if you really can't do it. I couldn't stare down at the ground for long while at the very top (it is a bit high) but I didn't feel unsafe while up there. That was definitely an experience to remember! A bit of a thrill at the very end, haha.

Christiansborg Palace is actually pretty wild -- it's the only place in the world where the government, the prime minister, and the Supreme Court all work in the same building. And under it, there are literal castle ruins from like the 1100s that you can walk through. Plus, the Danish royal family still uses parts of it for fancy events, so it's kind of like government offices + ancient history + royalty all stacked in one spot. Funny story. There's this extremely long dining table (see pics). You're not supposed to sit there but the tour guide said a family sat there to eat lunch one time.

How rare is that in the center of a big city! This place is good for skateboarding, basketball, mini football, or just for to have snack under the three since watching people having fun. I also like the new fountain complex. Seems like kids around 3 years just love it! They all get wet. It's fun watching another having fun. I just love Rantzausgade. You are one of my favourite streets in Kopenhagen; you are home…read more Rantzausgade starts at at Åboulevarden and ends at Jagtvej. It's very crowded with a lot of buses, cars, bikes, and delevering vans for all the supermarket and restaurants. You can buy all our day to day necessities in the supermarkets (Irma, Døgn Netto, Aldi), butcher shop, and the greengrocers, you can have your hair done in at least 4 different places, your nails done, you can buy bikes and have them repaid in a numbers of bike shops, you eat and drink well at the restaurants and you can just hang around and enjoying your time. You meet all kind of people at Rantzausgade. Poor refugees collecting bottles and cans for the refund and the Prime Minister doing some shopping before returning home after a long working day. Rantzausgade only lack clothing and shoes stores, and a less and more save traffic.

Dragør is the perfect tourist spot to take you back to historic Denmark. Located in Kastrup, just…read morebeyond the CPH Airport, Dragør is one of the more unknown tourist spots in CPH. Boasting 76+ pristine historic buildings from the 1700 and 1800s, Dragør creates a picture perfect fishing village. The village is very well preserved, from the thatched roofed buildings to the narrow cobble stone streets. You almost feel like you're in an amusement park until you peer through the windows of the local buildings and discover that these are actual homes still being lived in today. Getting to the village and the harbor is relatively easy. You can't directly get there by train but there are plenty of buses that will take you directly there. But be prepared for a long bus ride if you're coming from anywhere in central CPH. There is also a parking lot near the harbor but it seemed to be consistently full, especially if the weather is nice. On a beautiful sunny day, the harbor beyond the village is the perfect place to grab an ice cream from one of the many local shops or grab a coffee and walk along the boat pier. Most locals like to soak up the sun by the harbor and enjoy the nice sea breeze. You can even view the bridge to Sweden and if you're really lucky, maybe Sweden itself. But don't limit yourself on visiting only during nice weather. Apparently, they have a ton of events during the winter and go all out for Christmas. I definitely plan to revisit Dragør this winter to see it turned into a quaint Christmas Village.

Our tour guide suggested that we have a look inside while we wait. It ended up being a nice cultural experience. It's open to the public in the daytime. On a Saturday morning, we saw a bride in her wedding gown having photos taken for her big day in the grand public courtyard. The sunlight was shining through the vaulted skylight ceiling above us. It's a warm & welcoming place for all to see. There are danish flags surrounding the hall as well as one from Greenland and another from the Faroe Islands. You'll see the other flags directly across from the entrance. There are a lot of artful details such as patterns & colors in the marble flooring and the mosaics of Nordic birds lining the inside of the arches. The soapstone lion basins provide relaxing sounds of flowing water while walking through the hall. There's a lot of cool things to see such as the clock tower and Jen Olsen's World Clock if you have more time. It's a 300 step climb up to the tower where you can get views of the city and Tivoli Gardens. It may be worth the small fee to book the tower as well as a tour of City Hall. We didn't get to see it all. There are a few things that I saw worth mentioning. The stained glass Coat of Arms, the Art Nouveau stone mural above the city council's chamber door, and the gold gilded statue of Bishop Absalon (the Founder of Copenhagen) tell you right away that this building was built with the Nordic culture and its people in mind. The phrase "Saa er by som borger" is there for all to see. It's what Martin Nyrop envisioned it to be in his architecture. It's totally worth a visit for the architecture alone. I'd love to go back to see the inner courtyard garden one day. Also, make sure you look up closely at the top of the building while you're walking around Rådhuspladsen. There are some unique sculptures that will draw you in.

Outside, the…read morelizard gargoyles are doing their best medieval intimidation pose, while inside you're hit with a massive, skylight-filled hall lined with Danish flags. It feels important but not stuffy. The building dates back to the early 1900s and is a centerpiece of Danish civic life, hosting everything from official ceremonies to public events. When we were there, the square out front was buzzing with an Indian fair, complete with yoga and music, which somehow worked perfectly against the historic backdrop. Old stone, global culture, and people stretching in downward dog. Only in Copenhagen.
