I had a great experience with Mike's Mobile. I contacted them through Yelp's messaging to obtain a quote. I was given a list of prices for cleaning various types of fireplaces. I continued communicating with Mike's Mobile over Yelp messaging to schedule an appointment for them to clean and inspect my fireplace. I receive lots of reminder emails and text messages about my appointment. I appreciate these types of notifications as it makes it very easy to keep up to date with when they would arrive. Bryan arrived on time for my scheduled appointment. He was very friendly and explained the whole process of cleaning and expecting my fireplace. He took lots of pictures during the inspection so I could see how my fireplace is doing on the inside and outside. The entire cleaning and inspection took about an hour. We spent about 20 minutes reviewing the images, discussing what should be fixed (my fireplace is very old), and going over the quote for future work. I am very happy with my experience with Mike's Mobile and look forward to working with them again in the future. read more

Anthony was on time (he was actually early, which is fantastic) and was very thorough with his inspection. He was upbeat, positive and really seemed like he loves his job. He gave my client multiple options for recommended repairs and that made her feel at ease. He went through the entire report with us at the end of the inspection so we left knowing all of the information upfront. I don't like to write bad reviews but I'm posting this as a PSA. Chimney cleaning and inspection was fine. What wasn't fine was the estimate for repairs and installation of a fireplace insert. They recommend repairs that are considered overkill by other chimney businesses. They try to use fear to make you think your chimney really needs these repairs or xyz is going to happen. And they charge twice than what they should for everything. I literally got an estimate for half the price from another local chimney company for the fireplace insert. They ask customers to leave them 5 stars and they'll donate money to charity so their high ratings are falsely inflated. Go with a small local company instead. read more

Wow! This company is amazing! Anthony, the technician was a pleasure to work with. In this day and age customer service is hard to find. Got my Chimney inspected and cleaned and, at the same time, got quite a few screens replaced. One stop shopping, Baby! Heather And Scarlett were both great to work with on the scheduling aspect, especially since I was coming in from out of town and have a very busy, yet flexible, schedule. The two that showed up to do the work arrived early (BONUS), since I said to Scarlett the earlier, the better. They were already deep into work on the chimney. They did a great job and were very flexible since I wasn't sure of how many screens I needed to replace. I would definitely use them again if I was living in their area of work. And bonus to me, they have a Veteran's Discount and, as a Disabled Veteran, I could always use that little extra. Thank you Mike's Mobile Screen & Chimney Service and thank you for supporting us Veterans. I am so sorry that I didn't get the name of the person who showed up. I had multiple projects going on at the house and just got tied up, or should I say screened off? :) Anyway, nice job! Highly recommended! read more

After I posted my review I did get a call from the company. I understand that sometimes phone messages get lost or sent to the wrong person, as what happened in my case. However, it counts how a company handles issues as they inevitably come up. Once I got a call, they were very apologetic and nice. They made sure to send someone out as soon as possible and they did. It was a big job to exchange the wood stove to the gas fireplace, and they did it. I was charged $300 for the cost difference of the stove versus the gas fireplace, and nothing more. The installers were very nice and did not make me feel awkward for what happened. I finally have my nice warm, gas fireplace! read more

First, the "technician" should have included in this report (and they should include every report) the serial number of the unit they are working on so that the owner can discuss issues with the vendor and with the manufacturer. This is gross negligence. Second after taking the fireplace apart and coming to their opinion that it doesn't work because of some issue with the electronics, they just sort of threw all of the ceramic logs back in in a very Helter skelter way. Which means that I have to basically have the whole fireplace rebuilt at least aesthetically. And third they didn't plug any of the plugs back in. lastly they quoted me an outrageous some (50% of the cost of a brand new unit) to buy a replacement set of electronics and come back and install them. They didn't suggest that I contact the manufacture he didn't suggest that I contact the retailer he just said here we can fix this for you and it'll cost you extra dollars. this is a service I would avoid at all costs. read more

After searching Yelp to seek service providers that can convert my wood burning fireplace to gas, I was directed to Mike's mobile. Today someone reached out via message and told me to call their company number to set up an appointment. I made the call and a female customer service agent kept me on hold for 10 minutes before she could determine when an agent could visit my home to give me an estimate. AND... wait for it... in order for this company to give me an estimate on converting my fireplace to gas... they want over $500 and to do a full fireplace and chimney inspection. I saw their ad on Instagram and contacted them right away through yelp. I have been looking for a mobile screen unit for months and they offered multiple services that I needed. Their response time was almost immediate. I was reasonably quoted and scheduled within the same month. I requested a gas fireplace service, dryer vent cleaning, a screen replacement, screen door replacement with pet proofing screens and a few solar screens. I'm telling you, this company offers a lot! So convenient!!!! I had two guys punctually show up at 8am. Tyler and Travis were professional, fast, efficient, informative, patient with our questions, and friendly. Great business, respectful staff, and quality work. The only thing I did not appreciate was the attempt to up sell me a complete fire box when mine was just fine and only had a hairline crack that could have easily been replaced or patched with fire rated cement putty. I feel like it's these types of practices that make people question businesses. After all, I would have used them for the repair and they still would have made money. read more
