We had a horrible experience with Snook's! We purchased a Scratch and Dent GE Double Convection…read moreOven because it was in stock and could be delivered the next day. Due to area flooding stoves were hard to find in stock so we jumped on this model after being assured it was new and only had a minor scratch. Our salesperson wrote our phone number down incorrectly so they couldn't call us for delivery the next day. I called after not hearing from them and was told they'd come the next day. The next day the team delivered our stove and worked for over an hour to get it hooked up. The guys couldn't get a steady flame and told me they needed a pressure checking tool they didn't have with them. After an hour they gave up and said a tech would come look at it the next day. I asked if we needed to shut the gas off and they assured me the burners were off and so was the oven so we were fine. This was around 2 PM. The guys left and my daughter and I ran some errands and grabbed dinner. We sat down to watch a movie and we noticed how strong the gas smell was. I checked the stove again and everything was off. About 8 PM we were both dizzy and had pounding headaches. I opened windows, turned on fans and pulled the stove out myself and shut the gas valve off because my gut told me something wasn't right. It took hours to air out the house. The next day the tech came out and found that all the fittings in our new stove were set up for propane and not natural gas. Gas had poured out of 7 opening for hours! By law they have to mark stoves that have been altered with a sticker and this one didn't have one. This is so dangerous! We had Black Hills come out to check the line a few days later and make sure there weren't leaks (which there weren't) but they were appalled this had happened as it could have killed us or blown the entire house us had I not shut the line off. Snooks didn't have the natural gas fittings for my stove and told me it could be awhile for them to get them. I went to the store to talk to the owner Bill. He apologized and assured me they would do whatever we needed to "make it right". I asked if we could get another model but that was when we discovered several other units were also propane fitted and not marked. I found out their scratch and dent models come off a truck from Best Buy normally and they don't know what their issues are; hardly what I would considered a new model. The whole transaction felt very sketchy. I inquired about getting a brand new version of the same model and he told me it would be awhile for it to come in and despite only costing $300 more than what I paid for my unit, he said couldn't do that because he has a bottom line and offered me $100 discount on a new one. I was so offended at the lack of empathy he displayed when his faulty product could have killed my family. He said it could be a month to get the right fittings for our stove, negating the entire reason I bought the stove. I inquired about getting our original stove back that they hauled away the day before and just getting a refund. Bill suddenly said we will do whatever it takes and that they couldn't get our stove back, which made no sense. I left the store angry and upset. My husband called to see what could be done as I had gotten nowhere and Bill was incredibly rude to him and hung up on him! Magically a few hours later Bill called me and said they had pirated our fittings from new units and would install them after the weekend. 6 days after we bought the stove we had a team come with the correct fittings. They lost a piece in the stove they never found and dropped the tipped oven onto my tile floor at one point but they did get the new parts in. All the crew that came to our house were very nice and apologized for the mistake and for the way the owner treated us. We got to pay a high gas bill thanks to Snooks. I still feel we got a lemon. Bill never followed up or "made it right" other than getting the correct fittings. We will never buy from Snook's again and urge others to think twice.

I have to agree with Daren D: they suck. We walked in to carpet shop, flipped through floor…read moresamples for about thirty minutes and were not even acknowledged by the two men working there. If you can't even say, "howdy do" when a customer walks in you obviously don't want business.

I had told the salesman I would like to see a certain sample and he said he had already loaned it out but would get back to me. I had narrowed my selection down to 2 pieces. In the interest of timing (I had just moved into my house and was living in a back room to keep the bedroom getting carpet empty) I just forgot about the other sample and ordered some. I paid my down payment and then heard nothing. Finally I called and asked about it and was told they'd schedule me. They eventually installed the carpet. The installers did a great job except there was a line in the carpet from one end of the room to the other. I contacted the salesman and he said "some carpets don't seam well but we'll get someone out to look at it". This is something I would have appreciated a salesman tell me before I had carpet installed.. he gave me a date and time. I stayed home and waited, nobody showed. This happened several times, meanwhile I'm still receiving a bill for the monies owed. I had finally had enough and posted a review here on yelp. I got a call immediately the next day asking if they could remedy the problem so I would take down my review. The installer and salesman showed up promptly and decided that the line in the carpet was from where the carpet was rolled up. You would think a correct installation would include removing a line from wall to wall, and I still think it was the seaming but I digress. They offered to "steam" the line out, which again, should have been done on install day and I'm over it at this point. We're talking May 5th this all began and it's now October or so. In November I get a "Notice to Cure" in the mail threatening to send me to collections if I don't pay the remaining balance by December 2nd. In my opinion it took them 5 months to even come look at my issue, I have 5 months from the day they finally showed up to give them the rest of the money. In summary, the customer service is terrible and then they try to send you to collections at the end without remorse for their horrible handling of the situation. The letter was signed by an owner. Where was he while his employees were running a customer away? He just showed up for the $$
