Over Memorial Day holiday, I decided to get a pedi while at our cabin. Bellissimo spa/salon was…read moreclean, and cute! Courtney gave me a pedi and we chatted it up a bit. I was her last appointment of the day (12:30--on a Saturday) so the whole place was empty except us. That felt a bit odd, but perhaps everyone was at a BBQ? Anyhow, my feet were moisturized in plastic bags and my toe nails were tended to. Nothing fancy (such as a wax dip) but is was hygenic and there was no blood as I saw mentioned in reviews for other salons on the main drag through town (Basin St). Courtney was kind enought to also wax my lilp. Again, no magic here. Usually, for this service there is a little plucking or re-waxing to get the stray/stubborn guys. Not today. On the plus side, my lip didn't break out in a rash--so a win for sure. I think the price is a bit high for the area and extent of the service. However, it's a bit cheaper than most in the Seattle area. I'll be back.

I went in for a manicure with gel nail polish. Except for the rudeness it was okay. I went in…read moreafter a month to have a new manicure..The man used some kind of electric grinder to remove the polish. He then told me my nails were thin and I needed some kind of $50 treatment. I told him to just take of the gel polish and I would wait. When I got home and really looked at my nails, they had been ground down and were extremely thin. I have not had weak or thin nails for the last 10 years or more. I am 77 and if anything my nails are very thick. I do believe he ground them down so they were very thin and he could try to sell me the $50 treatment. Beware of this place!!!

The paint job on my toes isn't the best honestly so I would give it a 4 stars if only rating the pedicure. My issue was with the nails. I had chosen this salon based on the review pictures and really liked the quality of work. Even tho I had a scheduled appointment it still felt rushed. My nails are different shapes, lumpy and and the paint job isn't great. I paid $65 for a very simple acrylic set and was very disappointed. It looks like a $35 nail set from Walmart. Actually I take that back, the nails at Walmart actually look like better quality. I wouldn't recommend anyone to get acrylics here but if you don't mind a just okay paint job on toes the pedicure was relaxing and made me really soft.
