Lisa is always so responsive and nice in all of my communications leading up to each event. The team always arrives on time and set up is so quick and easy. Every person I've met from their company has been so professional, easy going, and friendly. My favorite part is that they are completely self sufficient. I just let them know where to park and they do the rest. Their team gets all of the kids set up to play games and rotates so everyone gets a turn. There are video games inside and outside of the truck which I think is really cool too so a lot of kids can all play at the same time. Having the indoor option is especially nice for our summertime events! I always look forward to hiring them and knowing they're going to be such a big hit!

Take your dog - the ferry's dog friendly, as is the concert. The Algiers Economic Development Assoc. coordinates the weekly shows, which are sponsored by various local businesses. They're often at the ferry landing, but they can also be elsewhere within walking distance. They have great local musicians, and it's more laid back and less see-and-be-seen than the sister Wednesday concerts in the middle of the big-lawyer-buildings at Lafayette Square. (Wed. at the Square is still cool too - it's just gotten so big. And crowded. And professionals-talking-the-talk-and-networking. It's hard to find and meet up with your friends and just hang out any more.) Also, Algier's Point is just cute, and worth the boat trip to ride your bike around or take your dog for a walk.

Tribute band (Police) known as the Fuzz on the big stage kicked off smartly exactly on schedule. Fuzz features a mighty rhythm section: Corey D, of (Tab Benoit fame) on bass with world class singer / guitar hero, TB on drums? who'd a thunk it? (sans vocal microphone). TB will front his OWN band Sunday, wouldn't wish to miss that ! On the smallish Dumaine stage a little later, the inimitable COLE WILLIAMS & band. W O W ! A GREAT set concluded with "Change is gonna come". May I say she was filled with the holy spirit? Powerhouse performance. The band is seriously good, and looked JOYOUS on stage. Houston band, "Suffer" next up on the big stage, some fine moments. I liked the brass section's mariachi type work and enthusiastic Latin flavoured stuff. This fest is 'semi commercial' and easy peasy coming / going to Bayou St. John. 1st time ever in 14 years, a FEE to enter. We got the all 3 days wristband for 20 bucks each. A sign of the times. But we got some amazing watermelon fruit juice, played Drag Bingo with Katrina Waters who had great energy, picked up some art prints from a local artist, and listened to some music. A great day was had!
