This was our first time coming here and wish this was my home casino for Boyd as Sam's town the casino is twice as smaller. But I do like the rooms at Sam's town better though. I definitely love this casino and better than Sam's Town as they have much more machines there and layout is much better. They do not have any card games however unless I missed it. They do have a racetrack and you can go outside and see it. Rooms overall were nice, but the walls were paper thin. The issue was that we were next to people that had a lot of noise on the first night and were totally drunk and security had to come up and settle things down. Service was really friendly as they let us do late checkout. I hope next time we get to stay in a suite as in Sam's Town we get to stay in the suite. I probably had the most fun at this casino as they had a range of good games and I had some good wins and I probably came out a winner here. However, I wish I came out a winner throughout the trip. The only issue I have is the lack of machines to cash out the machines as during a busy night the line can get really long as I usually like to cash out the ticket. I did see a lot of people get jackpots, but I was not one of them, but I can see potential. They only had the 5 line version of the Ainsworth games, but I learned to play with the 5 lines and was not too bad. I did well on both the high and low volatile games and lasted quite a long time there. Unfortunately, I gave back most of my money as I was chasing the $10 dollar pinball as I really wanted to try for a jackpot. But I had fun though. It does get smokey and very crowded here. the slot machines are very close together and you can bump into people easy. The soda machines there are only 2 locations I know of. This place is absolute garbage. The machines suck big time and they never pay out. If they do pay out anything you hit enough to where it makes you cash out like you won a big grand prize just so they can get their taxes from it. Save yourself from this awful place and just drive the extra 50 minutes to the golden nugget or LaBerge. Trust me you will thank me if you do. Plus the staff is very rude and you can never get a drink except when you're winning (so they can bother you if you start doing good. read more

What a nightmare of a place. Rude employees dirty restrooms and they are always pulling money out of the machines. (So you have to stop playing) call me a conspiracy theorist but it seems like anytime I'm winning here they have some need to mess with the machine I'm on. So hard to get a drink also. Well I'll start with valet. Most of the time good but once in awhile you'll get that one person ;m(or group of one time) that obviously doesn't want to be there. But like I said, 8 out of 10x, it's great. Front desk are mostly "okay" (for the lack of better words). They're never rude but I'm pretty sure I can never remember seeing them smile either. The gift shop staff is always great. Always polite, friendly and willing to to help you find something with a genuine smile even if they're busy. Great choices with additions added once in awhile that keep you wanting to go check it out every time. (By the way, I bought a carry on suitcase and it still looks great after a year of using it quite frequently, so their products are a great quality) Now, here's my biggest problem with this trip. When we left the casino and came up to our room, I put a sign on the door that says "Do Not Disturb" so we could sleep in. That was around 4am. By 7am, someone starts banging on the door hollering for "Fred". (Obviously Fred was tired of his wife's gambling and went to the room and left her down there) Before I have a chance to react, housekeeping unlocked our door to let her in. This is NOT okay. Every hotel I've been to makes you go down to the front desk and show ID to get a spare key, and housekeeping just unlocks doors ands lets people in random rooms. Not cool. THEN A few hours after that incident... housekeeping knocks on my door until I get up and answer it. What she says to me blew my mind... she hands me a clipboard and a pen and says "can you sign this right here saying you didn't want to be disturbed?" ... Really? Wow. read more

Be sure to inspect your bed and bedding before getting in. My last stay at the new renovated hotel had long straight hairs on the pillow cases and small blood stains at the bottom of the top sheets. Made incident known to agent behind the counter. Said she would notify person in charge. Decided to leave early. Since my reporting of the situation, have not received any offers of specials. Have been coming to Delta Downs since the first opening. Agent says, I haven't spent enough play time. Not so. Call me very disappointed. read more

I'm sitting here at the track waiting on race #3. It's hotter than hades in the grandstand because they waited until just before the race to turn on the AC. I'm sweating. 2 of the three wager machines is broken and there is no longer a live person taking bets. AND if we want a drink we are told we have to go up 3 sets of stairs through a maze like a freaking rat, down escalaters, towards the casino and inside the OTB to get a drink, then back to the casino, up the escalaters, back through the rat maze and down 3 sets of stairs. Heck, by the time we get back to the table our drinks will be watered down and we will have missed at least 1 race depending on how long it takes us to get the drink from the bartender. Our other option is to sit in this sweltering heat watching the races without even a bottle of water for 5 hours. This is the most screwy, jacked up system I've ever seen. We try to make the last two quarter horse races as often as possible but I believe this will be our last. No wonder there's hardly anyone here. read more
