Dr. Dellose did my left hip replacement Oct. 2024. Next week he will be doing his magic on my right hip. After my first i realized with a week or so that my left leg and foot were aligned like I was a kid. The way my foot strikes the ground is perfect. He will be doing the right hip Oct.16. This man is just too busy. The wait time in his office is consistently long, and if you ask to see the doctor, rather than a PA, the wait for an appointment is months. He's just taking too many patients, expanding with Restore Orthopedics, etc. And he doesn't oversee the work or recommendations of his PA. I had an xray misread and Dr. Dellose didn't look at it until my appt with him 6 weeks later. His skill as a surgeon may be good, but if things go awry, don't expect an ounce of empathy or help with decision making. read more

Dr Dellose and his team are the best, when I came to Dr Dellose last year 2023 I was bone on bone in both knees. I did the extracting fluid, cortisone, and gel shots it worked for a while then I was right back to the horrible pain that consume my very being. I decided to have the total left knee replacement 4/17/23, what a revelation my leg was straight and the pain was gone. One year later I had the right knee replaced 4/15/24 one of the best decisions I made. Thank you Dr Dellose and your wonderful team for making my life so great. had a replacement 15 years ago and still have some pain.I just went back and had more x-rays showing bone on bone in my left knee.Shots did nothing for me years ago .I waited 45 minutes to see him and he spent no more than 10 minutes with me.I'm 82 and working part time so I hurt all day. I asked about disability pay and his response was talk to your primary!!! He also said my pain from the first replacement is due to my back I go to a chiropractor on a regular basis so I don't agree So disappointed in him read more

Dr. Dellose and staff are not as good as he tells you they are. I had a total knee replacement in June. It is now the middle of November. I had better Range of Motion before my surgery. Went to Christiana Care for therapy - after 8 weeks, I was told that's as good as it will get. I dont believe that's acceptable. I also ended with blood clots in both legs? I can't take Celebrex, did they give me a comparable medical, no. I had to research and give them a name of another drug. I am going to a small rehab who is using dry needling, it has improved some. After 5 months I can still feel where the epidural block went in(not Dellose fault there). Also, what really made me mad, they will not refund my payment for the last visit. They won't refund it until they are done treating me???? My insurance said I don't have any more copays, they are aware of it and promised a check within 6 to 8 weeks. So I cancelled my appointment and am done with them. I should have used Dr. Rasis at First State orthopedics. Dellose could get me in quicker, guess I know why. A coworker after 11 years never got good Range of Motion either - why????? Still limps and like me, muscle problems in the calf and shin and even foot. No problems before the surgery. After 5 surgeries, 4 chemo treatments and a baby together- this surgery and staff was way worse. read more

It is with great interest that I read a review for Dr Dellose on Google reviews in which he was rated only 1 star, and negatively portrayed, I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with the assessment of that patient. My experience with Dr. Dellose has been stellar to date. Dr Dellose has treated me for a number of years now for chronic knee problems, that are most likely a result of both bad genes AND competitive sports. Dr. Dellose took time from his schedule each and every time to listen to my issues, pains, concerns etc. Never once did I ever feel he was irritated or unhappy with the numerous questions I had asked or, even if I questioned him on alternative knee treatments . Finally after years of injections etc. I elected to have a Total Knee Replacement that was completed just a few weeks ago. Dr. Dellose had 6 more patients lined up behind me the same day as my surgery. Anything you read on the internet will say to find an Ortho doc who does at least 3 replacements a month. The Dr. Dellose / Joe Cassidy team has to perform hundreds of hip and knee replacements in a calendar year. Dr Dellose prepared me well in advance of what to expect. Other than the expected swelling and periodic pain, all seems to be going well so far. PT is as expected. Bottom line - if you are in need of a knee replacement, ask nearly ANY PT facility in the New Castle County area and you will here Steve Dellose's name mentioned time and time again ( I asked my PT doc, and he said Steven Dellose was the best there is). Ask people who have had a knee or hip replacement by Dr. Dellose, and you will here, that he is the man for the job. All of this said - the person who wrote and gave 1 star for Dr. Dellose - you and I will need to agree - to disagree and disagree completely. The Steven Dellose and Joe Cassidy (Dellose's PA) team are in my opinion the folks to go to. When I need my other knee replaced - I will go back to Dr. Dellose to have that surgery performed, and WITHOUT hessitation..!! read more
