I've done numerous giraffe feedings and not one of them had you feed the giraffes from the ground. Every single time there is a platform and you feed the animals at essentially eye level. Here there is a very tall chain link fence, you stand on the ground and giraffe leans down, the problem is that the link fence is tearing up the giraffes neck in an effort to reach down to get the food. I get it giraffes graze from trees and the ground but this was horrible. Additionally they seem to cater to young families, they need to have staff watching the way the little kids treat the animals. I saw so many little kids throwing food at the animals, smacking the animals on the head. They need to have staff at every stall to make sure this isn't happening as the parents don't seem to care.
