We also got the baleada con todo which was so good! (had to look up what a baleada was) i'm not big on beans but all the ingredients were delicious and worked well together. prices were very good too. doesn't feel like stressing your wallet to have a nice meal outside. service was great but food takes a bit to come out but overall, this place is amazing and we'll def be back.

Close your eyes and let the old ladies crafting homemade tastes in the simple open-style kitchen in…read morethe back take you to a warm beach in sunlit, coral reef ridden Honduras, or to a mountainside rain forest with a hot café con leche in hand where you'll contemplate a trip into the ruins of an ancient Mayan or Lenca civilization. At Sabor Hondureño you'll savor very authentic food from Honduras, second largest country in Central America, right in the heart of Norwalk, CT. Honduras has one of the best Latin American cuisines -- as a native Honduran I may be biased I know -- but I've eaten food from all over the continent and can say this comfortably! Try Honduran staples like baleadas, tajadas (green plantain slices) with chicken or beef, pupusas try the "revueltas" with pork or just the bean & cheese ones, tacos Hondureños (different from Mexican Tacos, these are lightly fried and crispy) and wash it down with nutty (not the blander rice based kind) horchata! Worth the trip from anywhere in the state, as a place for breakfast, lunch or dinner within walking distance from Norwalk Aquarium and a nice pit stop close to both north and south ramps off of I-95.

Love the pickled onions that came with both dishes, carne asada was nice and flavorful, while the fried chicken dish was generous in serving size and came with a nice slathering of this orange sauce that kicked it up a notch. They serve Honduran food, which we were not familiar with. The waitress was beyond helpful! I ordered the chicken and fried bananas and my friend ordered the baleadas (which looked like a burrito, but had beans, cheese, egg, and avocado). It's worth noting that we never ordered via Uber Eats so can't really comment on that. The only reason why I deducted a star is because we had to pay a mandatory 5% tip. We thought that was weird, but oh well. We just adjusted what we tipped on top of that 5% so it would come out to what we were going to tip. Not a big deal. This won't be the last time we go here.
