My 60kr/$8 cheese and meat(not sure exactly what animal) on multigrain bread was reasonably tasty for the price, and probably one of the cheapest eats in Oslo. (Note: At time of this review, the US dollar was up 50% against the Norway kroner...$1 = 7.5kr vs $1 = 5kr just a couple years ago)

It's just a quick store to pick up food and candy, but it will suffice WAY above par compared to American quickie marts and 7-11s. Service and food is honestly bad and you don't expect anything great come out of there! However, you can say that these deli de lucas are similarly up to date and very yum like the ones in Tokyo. We need these quality convenient stores (at least) in the metropolitan areas in the states!

They are quite good at getting rid of any rotten food, a kind of service you won't find at most grocery stores in Norway. I was about to buy a mango once that was overripe and the guy at the counter took me out to the mangos to show me which ones were the best to buy. He could have easily allowed me to buy one that wasn't the best quality, but instead he threw the mango out that I was about to buy and picked out probably the best mango I have ever had. The selection inside is always great. You can buy a lot of American products here (peanut butter, baked beans, maple syrup, salad dressings, etc.) The bread is always fresh and I love their massive selection of olives. The service here is terrific. Most recognize me and say hi when I pass by, even if I am not shopping there. They are a great part of the neighborhood and one of the many reasons I love living where I do.

It's a Norway thing apparently. They also have frozen yogurt, gelato, convenience store type snacks, and coffee. This is another popular local chain - they're everywhere.
