The ambience here is quite nice and there is outdoor seating for warm days. The only drawback to the outdoor seating is that it's on a noisy main road. I have walked past this place a few times and we finally decided to give it a try. For what is a somewhat cool place I was totally disappointed at the push button coffee machines. The coffee was quite ordinary and lukewarm. I must admit I did not like the coffee here at all. We are so spoiled for choice for good coffee in the area. The menu is small but enough choices for lunch and breakfast. There is a daily specials board as well. I tried the chorizo omelette and it was ok. Without the chorizo this would have been a bland omelette. I also tried the Bircher muesli and I am afraid it was the worst Bircher muesli I have had since moving to Europe. It was tasteless and had soft overripe pear which tasted pretty ordinary. To be fair i would not rate the food more then 2.5 stars. The coffee would be a 1 star for me. Overall I would not rate it more than 2.5 but would be ok with a 3. In a suburb with so many great places for coffee and breakfast, I would have to be desperate to come back here again. As I always say no matter what the ambience is like, I come here to eat ;-) if the food is average no matter what else is great, it barely makes up for it.

I was lucky to meet the inspiring founders of Cafe Gratitude in August at a raw food workshop and from what I know, they planned to come back soon, it's a workshop worth attending for all those interested in joining the Cafe Gratitude community. Back in August, Cafe Gratitude Munich was just in plan, now it's a very nice reality and it's one of the places where I could stay all day long, it's part of my favourite cosy homey places in Munich. I had fresh fennel-apple-lemon juice. Was very refreshing and I could smell and taste the ingredients. Although a bit sweet for my taste but overall a very nice drink. Ambience - nice, calm and casual for a quiet dinner. Lighting is dim and relaxing to the eyes Service - cheerful, friendly, no-rush attitude. Bonus for me was that they have English speaking staff. It's a vegan and vegetarian cafe that serves nice food and a brunch buffet on Sunday. The owners are from Anatolia region of Turkey and the food is prepared in this style. There is a nice selection of cakes and pastries at the counter including Turkish desserts like baklava and others. They make most things in house. The brunch buffet is quite inexpensive at €9 and it was more or less full when I got there. Eggs baked in tomatoes, cous cous, dolmades, soup, fruit, breads and many other items on the brunch buffet. I loved the flavours and enjoyed the dishes very much. A great choice for delicious vegetarian and vegan food in Munich. Glad I tried it and will be back again for a meal. It's no frills but nice and tasty home cooked food for a reasonable price. The atmosphere is eclectic and the owners very nice people.

It's a casual setting and has almost every vegan baked good. I speak zero German, only English. The woman working barely spoke English, but we made it work! She was very nice and even through our language barrier she recommended some delicious treats for me! I highly recommend the donuts (they're filled to the brim!) and the baklava. The baklava at Umi's was better than any I've ever had in my life! I'm thankful for this little bakery. It made my trip in Munich so nice and tasty! Be sure to bring at least €25 -- I'm sure you'll use all of it on fun treats at Umi's!

In the actually restaurant, it's a swanky upscale place with the whole kitchen exposed if you want to check it out while they make your meal. The drink and food menu is very curated so check it out before you go. I found something I knew I would like. I went with the Beef Wellington which has to be ordered as two as they make and cut right there for the two people. For an appetizer I did what was basically a salmon flan. Very flavorful and I only recommend if you like seafood. But the beef Wellington was awesome. Crispy outside with the mushroom purée and beef done perfectly. For dessert I split a Creme brûlée and it didn't disappoint. It was a good experience and worth it but the upscale food felt a little like it was trying to hard to be pretty and less about it being really truly delicious. I would come back though!

Per the guy's recommendation, I got it with jalepenos with a #2 out of 4 spicy. Usually in Europe when they say it's spicy, it's not going to be. But my lips were burning when I was eating this burrito, so be careful going spicier than that! I just wish they wouldn't put so much lettuce on the burrito. I mean, why is there any lettuce at all, let alone a ton of lettuce?
