The people we purchased the house from were clearly not landscapers, and neither are we. Needless to say, our backyard was crowded with plants and ornamental trees that we did not want. I couldn't actually get to my backyard's water hookup without climbing through a small jungle and getting scratched & dirty in the process. We began looking for a landscaper to essentially do a lot of tidying up and removal, to transform our yard into something not embarrassing. After a couple of duds (one landscaper who never submitted a promised quote actually argued with us over some of the things we wanted removed because they were "expensive"... who cares, they were still an eyesore), my wife found Highland Landscaping. Bill came out immediately to inspect the yard and we explained what we wanted: 1) Removal of an ornamental tree that was growing sideways into our back deck. 2) Conversion of a covered grove containing rhododendrons and other overgrown crap into a gravel/stone-covered seating area for some Adirondack chairs and a fire pit we already owned. 3) Removal and extensive pruning of other overgrown plants while keeping some of the nice stuff. 4) Fresh mulching in all beds. 5) Weed removal and removal of poison ivy that was growing on our side yard. We told Bill we just wanted everything to look a lot nicer, and we would trust his vision. He gave us his ideas, and promised us it would look "awesome" when he was through with it. He gave us a very reasonable quote and was able to start after a few weeks. His crew worked diligently and was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our backyard looks amazing now. "Awesome" doesn't even begin to cover it. He was able to accomplish everything we wanted for this project. No more overgrowth, no more sideways trees ruining our newly-painted deck, and now we have a beautiful stone-covered outdoor seating area to enjoy with our guests. They even came in under budget on the quote. Most importantly, our yard is not an embarrassment anymore. HIGHLY recommended for all your landscaping needs.

They're very sloppy with the way they trim the trees. They don't pay attention to the landscaping around the house I've had numerous outside lights, broken, and this time a Halloween tree. I asked him if they wanted me to move my decorations and they told me no and they went right through it and cut the cord anyway and refused to replace it now it's not a lot of money that's not the point the point is they're sloppy. They don't care about your property and they have no respect for others.
