We had regraded our hillside and needed new grass planted, along with ground cover on the hillside…read more Part of the hillside would be planted with periwinkle and mulch. A Few days after the work was done in this area, I was watering it, and saw something unusual in the mulch. The workers had buried an empty, crushed water bottle under the mulch! At there suggestion, the other part of the hillside was to be sown with trefoil. The only thing that came up in that area was weeds, weeds, and more weeds. Even after hours and hours of back-breaking weeding, very little trefoil ever came up there. Another landscaper told us that the trefoil should never have been covered with the straw mats--that's what encouraged the weeds and made weeding more difficult. Eventually, the massive amount of weeds in the grass was taken care of by our lawn-care service.

He was delivering shrubs to my neighbor and I asked if they ever haul away branches for a fee. He agreed to help me out and was so positive to deal with even though it was a large amount of stuff for him to haul. I asked about the business and he said he and his brother are excited to continue the business with their dad who has been around for 32 years. I couldn't believe how nice and willing he was to help me! I'm looking forward to visiting their nursery to get plants for my new yard. The main reason was to create some kind of barrier at the back- before a steep slope downwards to help keep all of us and grandchildren from going over the edge and tumbling down the steep slope. The three of us interviewed FOUR local companies as we all feel it is important to support local businesses. We all decided on RH Landworks. Ryan & Liam are brothers. We were very impressed with these young men!! We are all happy with our results. Ryan is a wonderful communicator. He gave us great input on what to consider from the very start. He listens well too. They. Take. Great. Pride. In. Their. Work. They want their customers to be happy as it is Ryan's company for the last 10 years or so. They do stone work. Landscape beds. They love it all. They do interior painting during the winter months although we had all of our painting already done this past summer. We loved them and would not hesitate to tell you to put them into the mix when interviewing people! They are approved with the H.O.A. Insurance information, etc. variances may take a while so please plan way ahead. Include photos of where the work is to be done. The quotes were all the same prices by the different companies- EXCEPT for one which was a lot more expensive. The three of us all paid different prices based on the approved plants we wanted. The three of us share in the price to repair the area from two houses to the street.

He came and gave a bid. HE WAS NOT the cheapest but seemed as if he would be able to do what was needed in a timely manner. He came to give us the bid right away... during a time that many would not even return a phone call. We wanted the trees cut down and the wood removed, completely. Also removal of the stumps . This he did do, and the stump work was very good. Better than most I have seen from others. (Our neighbors were left with roots in their yard from the people who did their trees this summer) All in all we are very, very pleased. There was only one small hiccup in part of the wood being removed. But this was not Ken's fault. Another tree service had wanted of the large trunk pieces and I could not get that company to come and get them. Ken also tried, but to no avail as this other company must be very busy as well.... so Ken did come and cut them into smaller pieces and take them away. We could not be more pleased with the end result... And will recommend him highly.
